I dropped off my truck for a repair to the lift system (any level), which took nearly two months. During this time, communication was minimal and poor. When discussing pricing, I found the subject to be awkward, and I was never provided with an itemized invoice detailing the breakdown of work and parts. The day before I was scheduled to pick up my truck, I received a call asking if I knew the remaining balance of my bill. Since I had previously left a deposit, I estimated the balance to be no more than $2,500--$1,000 more than the price we had originally discussed. Just minutes after this conversation, I received a message confirming that the remaining balance was indeed $2,500, but with a request to pay through Zelle again, which I found odd. I opted to pay in cash when I picked up my truck instead. Upon arriving, I paid the balance and received a hand-written invoice in front of me. However, when I walked out to my truck, I found it to be filthy inside--despite having the truck freshly detailed prior to dropping it off. After two conversations with both the owner and the employee I dealt with throughout the process, I was told, 'You expect us to have your truck for over a month and have it be clean?' This response was completely mind-boggling. To make matters worse, I later discovered items in the bed of my truck that did not belong to me, along with missing components. I have attached pictures to show the condition the truck was returned in. Overall, this experience was disappointing, and I feel that the lack of professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy was unacceptable.

Good service and good repairs but can take a little while. Very good experience over all.read more

So call ahead to have them search out and hold your needed part(s). When my Benz's check engine light flashed on last year, I nearly panicked. Oh lordy, what is that and how much is it going to cost me?? We all feel that dreaded panic, when our cars start acting up regardless of year, make, or model. Luckily, Autozone offers a FREE service for such an auto issue. It's called a OBD II Scan. It's a small handheld device that electronically checks your car's status, typically in 5 general areas. For me, one of my car's ignition coils was misfiring and needed replacing. That scanner can tell you exactly which valve needed a new part, which is incredible peace of mind having authentic information to correct my car's performance. On a budget make the initial one coil change, but in all honesty, replace all valves in your car, it does makes better long term sense. Without that scanner and it's diagnostic capability, who knows what any other mechanic or dealership would of informed me the problem was. So get your own neutral opinion, it's free and legit. Save yourself the headache of the run around us consumers sometimes feel when an emergency arises. Plus I am pretty darn sure I saved $$$ of my hard earned money not being sold a crock of bad information.

For whatever reason, the 3 people at the counter were either asking lots of questions or were getting a lot of information from the sales people. It was ridiculous. So I finally get up to the counter and I ask them for the part and they show nothing. The computer returns something to the tune of "no parts exist for this search." So I stood in line for nothing. *sigh* Then I go back later because I need a tire patch kit. I stand in line again, waiting to check out and one of the staff says, "if you're waiting to check out, she'll get you over here." So I get out of line and stand in line by the indicated counter-person. As soon as she's done, the guys in the line I was just in, come and walk in front of me to talk to her, because she speaks Spanish and the one they were waiting on doesn't. *sigh*. Why I even had to switch lines in the first place is beyond me. The service is slow here. At least the lady at the counter apologized for me waiting so long. That's some consolation and that's why they're getting 3 stars instead of 2.

I called before hand to make sure they had a replacement engine for a 1997 Wrangler and they said they did. I drove out there and lo and behold, they actually had the engine I asked for. If you don't know, other yards will tell you they have it, but they may not have the actual engine you're looking for, it could be a cross-referenced engine from a different year or something else. And true, they may be the same engine but there are times when you want to avoid certain years that engine was manufactured because of defects from that year or for whatever reason. When I arrived, I asked for the engine, they said, "Do you want to see it?" "Sure." They take me back to the back where the engines are and there it is. All the engines are on dollies which is really awesome. I take a look, it looks fine, nothing looks broken or bent or whatever. I pay for it and they ask for the core charge in cash. That was a bit weird, since I wanted to put it on a credit card, but I was glad that I had enough cash. The engine was in great shape, actually. The inside was super clean. I did replace most of the gaskets, water pump, spark plugs, etc., because I want this new engine to last a long time without leaking oil. Loading up the engine was easy, they had their mechanic hoist it up on the cherry picker and load it up in the back of my truck. He even offered me a tire to cushion the engine so it wouldn't sit directly on the bed. The people were very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I needed anything else. Probably one of the better, if not best, experiences I've had with a yard in the past 20 years. Returning the engine for the core charge was relatively easy. I did have to find the paperwork, but I already expected that and knew where it was. They did ask me where the distributor cap was but I let them know that it was broken when I bought the engine and they didn't make a fuss over it. I got my cash and off I went. They have a fuzzy cat that hangs around the yard. Was friendly enough to come up and let me pet him/her.
