Spoke to a man about a tire quote to see if it was still good…read more First he couldn't get my name right And I couldn't hardly understand him and he was short with me and somewhat rude Then he proceeds to tell me I have to pay upfront which I've been a customer here Along time and never been asked to pay upfront Then he switches me to someone else to pay and hangs up on me This man doesn't need to be interacting with customers You lost me because of how I was treated and spoken to

Perhaps it can be said that today's car/truck buying options have dramatically changed. Of course…read moreI come from a generation where you visit a local car lot and make your best deal. Or, if you prefer private sales, you do your best to determine if it's going to be a lemon or a blessing. I mention this because the scope has changed so much. We shop online to reduce the running around, to reduce the pressure of a live interaction and when we actually find what we are looking for, it's snapped up in a flash because we naturally hesitate but there's likely to be five or more people looking at it as well. We are located in Tennessee and we found what we were looking for in Corsicana Texas. We sent an inquiry in the evening and we were called the very next morning. I must say, we are prone to expect a hard sell approach from a sales person. The call comes in and my guard goes up.... quite the opposite happened when we received a call from Jewels and Stewart Toyota of Corsicana. She listened. She answered questions. She offered to do more than we asked to help us make a decision from a long distance. If you are like us and don't buy vehicles very often, aggressive Salespeople can be difficult to endure. We were so THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED with the way Jewels was more of an Advocate helping us with our decision than a person focused on selling us a truck. We felt confident because she communicated so well! She made the process seamless and simple. In fact, although we have never done this before, we booked two airline tickets, and we flew into DFW. Jewels sent a driver (Rick who is a great guy) to pick us up and minutes after we arrived at Stewart Toyota we were driving back to Tennessee in our gently used Toyota Tundra ....after a quick stop in town for some Texas barbeque of course. Each of the Team members handled our transaction with integrity, dedication and even compassion. When the time comes for another vehicle, you can be sure we will contact Jewels at Stewart Toyota to find out what might be available because it just makes sense to have a personal advocate when buying a car.

My Experience with Brinson CDJR in Corsicana…read more I just want to share my experience with Brinson CDJR and how neglected and disrespected I've felt over the past month. I purchased my brand-new 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Hybrid from Brinson about two years ago. Since then, I've experienced multiple issues with the hybrid system, along with several serious fire-related engine recalls. Unfortunately, whenever I brought these concerns to Brinson, I never felt like they were taken seriously. The recalls were performed, but I never felt like anyone actually investigated the other issues I was experiencing. About a month ago, I received another recall, this time involving the steering system. Around the same time, I noticed my transmission behaving strangely and feeling like it was slipping. I even had my husband drive the Jeep for a couple of days because I wanted to make sure I wasn't imagining it. He noticed the same thing -- something wasn't right. I called Brinson, explained everything, and specifically asked if they could keep the Jeep for a day or two to properly inspect and diagnose it. I also explained that I would need a loaner because I have no other vehicle. I was told there was a waiting list for loaners and that they would put me on it. So I waited. For an entire month, nobody called, updated me, or checked in. Last Friday, I finally called. I was told their loaners hadn't been returned, so they couldn't get me in. I completely understood that. All I asked was: "Can you let me know if you'll be able to get me in next week? If not, that's okay. I just need to know so I can take my vehicle somewhere else." I was told someone would call me back that day. Nobody called. I called again Saturday morning and spoke with a manager. I explained everything again and asked for the same simple answer. Instead, I was repeatedly told that customers weren't returning their loaners. I explained that I understood -- I just needed to know whether they could service my vehicle so I could make other arrangements if they couldn't. That's when the manager became confrontational and told me I had been playing "phone tag" with him. He pressured me to bring the Jeep in immediately so he could personally road-test it and determine whether it "even needs to be in the shop." He then told me to write his name down and come up there and talk to him. So I did. I brought my husband with me. We were upset, but our intention was simply to have the vehicle professionally inspected and diagnosed. I want to acknowledge that my husband did put his hand on the manager's shoulder and sarcastically called him "Mr. Phone Tag." We recognize that was inappropriate and take responsibility for it. However, what happened afterward was shocking. The manager threatened to call the police, told us he no longer wanted to deal with my vehicle, went inside the service area, and yelled: "No one take that car." He then left us standing outside. I immediately contacted the General Manager and explained what happened. Again, I was told someone would call the following day. Nobody called. When I called again the next day, I was essentially told: "Never come back here again." Keep in mind -- I purchased my vehicle from this dealership. I have never asked for special treatment. I simply wanted my concerns taken seriously and my vehicle properly diagnosed. If there is an issue with the hybrid system, transmission, or steering, I expect it to be investigated rather than simply completing a recall procedure and sending me home. I'm sharing this because I especially want young women and anyone who feels vulnerable dealing with dealerships to be aware of this experience. It is frustrating to feel like you need your husband or dad beside you just to have your concerns taken seriously. I chose to purchase locally because I believed supporting a local business would mean better, more personal service. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I know my vehicle. I know what I'm feeling when I drive it. When I tell a dealership something feels wrong, I expect them to investigate -- not make me feel like I'm the problem for asking. So yes... Great day to be a woman and have to deal with car problems. I'm not posting this to start a fight. I'm sharing what happened because customers deserve to know about my experience before deciding where to purchase or service their vehicle.

My wife and I arrived knowing the exact vehicle we wanted to purchase. Spoke with a polite, knowledgeable, and relatable salesperson. Worked a deal on a $91k MSRP for just under $61k after trade and add ons. So we had plenty of equity to get the financing done. Salesperson said everything looked great and moved me to finance where things went off the rails. Typical finance guy that tries to act hard-nosed and "is what it is" so you'll think you don't have options and you won't negotiate. He reads me my approval and tells me the monthly payment. I of course told him no, that's over $200 a month more than it should be. He tells me my credit must have been good before but not now and that the interest rate would be much higher than before. I told him I knew rates are higher now but his rate was far higher than what it should be. We all know the dealership makes money of our interest rate so that's the usual tactic. Then he told me I needed to put some money down to get the rate lower. I told him that wasn't happening. He continued to pressure me to do so and I repeatedly told him no. I had an auto loan calculator open on my phone and started running numbers. I noticed even at the interest rate he stated, then numbers didn't make sense. I asked him what the total finance amount was and he gave me a number just over $64k. That was over $3k more than the deal the salesperson and I had agreed on. When I called him out on it he left the room and said he'd find out what happened. The correct amount was right there in front of him on the deal sheet. He was either doing something shady and hoping I wasn't going to question it, or the guy just doesn't know how to enter numbers into the computer. To me it was obvious some shady stuff was going on. He came back in and put in the correct numbers. He still came up way off from what the payment should be and again pressured me to put money down. He then began trying to negotiate the payment "I'd be good with". I stood my ground and told him I had a 4.5 hour drive home so I needed to hit the road. When I walked out I was met by the salesperson and his manager. I told them we couldn't make it happen. They then tag teamed up, pressuring me and telling me how they were already losing money on the deal and how much vehicle I was getting for my money. (Two days later I saw they posted my trade in for over $27k when they gave me $21k for it. I know the business and that doesn't bother me but to tell me they are losing money on the deal is just a huge lie.) Both were talking over each other I'm sure just trying to confuse and overwhelm me. They then started trying to negotiate a payment that would work for me. I caved a bit and went up $25 per month. The manager said he'd make it happen and head to the finance office saying "I'll probably lose my job for this" to which I laughed loudly and said "you're not going to lose your damn job". He returned and said they had it worked out. I went back into finance and finished up the deal. In the end I didn't feel great about it because I know they still got over on me a bit but it was a deal I could live with. So after that I just put on a smile and played nice to get delivery wrapped up and get headed home. The salesperson had said they would hand wash the vehicle and fill it up. When he brought it around it had been washed. Once I left, I looked down and saw less than a 1/4 tank of fuel. So I guess they saved themselves the cost of a tank of fuel too. My summary. Upon arrival I really thought I had found a smaller dealership that would be different than the big city high pressure places. I was wrong. They are just as shady in their practices. I would have stayed home and done business with my local dealership that I trust and normally deal with but the vehicle I purchased was a limited edition and my local dealership was not allocated one. Trust me, there are still dealerships like my local one that will be straight forward with you and never once pressure you or take you out of your comfort zone. Brinson is not one of those. Hope they made enough on the deal to justify losing repeat business. I won't be back.
