I walked in and another attendant was thoroughly helping a customer search for parts on the computer/cash register. I waited a bit and was greeted by Erick. I asked Erick if they can run code on my vehicle since the "maintenance required" light is on. He explained that if that light is on it means that the car is letting you know that you need an oil change. I told him that I got an oil change at Take 5 in New Braunfels, TX (what I thought was recently). Erick explained that if the oil change has been completed then the light needs to be reset. He said that I would need to take it back to the place I got an oil change, take it to any oil change establishment, or learn how to do it at home. He didn't specify why he couldn't do it, but gave me reliable concrete suggestions. I absolutely loved that Erick explained to me in depth what was going on and why. He is a professional in this field and gave me, the customer information that didn't have prior to coming in. It was absolutely gold star experience! I ask myself why I couldn't get this same experience at AutoZone and I know why because O'Reilly's actually cares about their customers. When I got back to the car, I realized that my last oil change was in September of last year and I am due for another. So he gave me spot on information too. That being said the team members working there are always helpful. They don't always have all the parts I need on hand, but since I'm patient it's a non issue. In most situations the parts arrive that day or the next morning. I have had my daughters go up to the store to have codes read when I couldn't help them out and they always took good care of them including installing the part. All that said I saw they had a negative review rating so I though they deserve a more efficient non emotional bias review so people know that sometimes it's not the business, but the people they are helping that make things difficult. As far as getting what you need at an auto parts store goes this O'Reilly gets job done.

Otherwise you will be there for 1-3 hours waiting. My appt. was for 1pm and they were not really that busy at 12:50pm - I was shocked. They said I would be done by 1:30pm. So I was going to go through my email and delete 99% of it BUT, at 1:10pm they said my car was ready!!!! Way to go!!!! Talk about great service! I did notice one thing... They usually have free small bottled waters while you wait. But they did not have any in the refrigerator. I don't know if they no longer are offering them or they were just out. I showed it to the salesman and sent it to him via text. I drove over 2 hours to get there. We were at the dealership when it opened. The price online showed $14,675. The price they were telling me was $15,125 +TTL so around $16,000. They wanted me to give them more money I told them $15,000 out the door. I stuck to my guns and each time he came back asking me for more I did not budge. I told him $15k was fair and if they wouldn't sell it for that price that we could go somewhere else. I asked if they were willing to lose a sale over $500 and he said we have a deal. There is no warranty. It's as is. I did get a nice car at a good price but dang. Stop being greedy. The finance guy was great. Paperwork was done very fast. I had my own financing already. We left and everyone was happy.
