Let me start off by saying I should have gone here in the first place. I went to Beachside Tire and…read moreAuto the other day and was almst taken to the bank. They diagnosed me needing wheel bearing on the front of my 2014 Corolla on BOTH sides and needing to replace both my control arms. This would have costed me almost $3000. I called Robert and Auto Doctors and asked how much for all the work and I was quoted about half the cost. Once the car was at Auto Doctors, they did a diagnostic and said that all I neded was one wheel hub. So rather than spending $3000 on parts and labor from an over-inflated price gouger, I spent less than $500 on a GREAT SHOP. Jason the owner and Robert his service writer are awesome.

I'm an 84 year old woman and I questioned the price. I also have a great sense of humor, so I said well if you are taking me across karma's k a B---h! They are a group of young boys and took offense to my joke and refused to work on my car! I drove to another repair shop and I also needed rotors, they asked if I wanted to see how they were working out worn. Auto Repair would have slapped a pair of pads on the worn down rotors, so I am grateful that they refused to work on my car. And when they grow up I hope they develop a sense of humor. Also the waiting area has 3 metal high stools to sit on and every time they go back and forth ( which they do a lot) a deafening bell chimes which is very irritating when you have to sit on those hard, cold stools for an hour.

Because she arrived late in the day, they asked her to leave the car overnight. The next morning they told her the battery was bad and quoted over $350 to replace it. She called Sam's Club in Bluffton--$140 with free installation. When she called the Auto Care Center back, they said she still owed $63 just for the battery test. Running late for work, she told me what happened, so I called the manager, Gary. When I questioned the $63 fee--especially when local auto parts stores test batteries for free--his response was, "I got to pay taxes." He repeated this instead of reconsidering the charge. Ladies, be aware before you take your car there.
