This location isn't really clean and sparkly, but the people working here seem to always be in a great mood and are always ready to help out. Yesterday the clerk got off a stool and hobbled in obvious pain to get my brake lights off the shelf, which I would have happily fetched for myself as I saw her limping, but she insisted. I've seen them giving a lot of advice to customers too. Always with a very positive demeanor. Proximity and customer service are definitely earning my business here.

No apologies, ZERO empathy. The suggested recourse? Bring the vehicle in so that a third party can "remedy" the situation and continue to cover your own rental fees while the third party does what should've been done prior to the sale. We should've recognized the red flag: after paying for the part, we were told the third party "went out of town" and the part would be available in a few days. Jokes on us, right? Wrong. My recourse will be much different than their suggested recourse. Filing fees in West Baton Rouge parish are a fraction of the money that I am out and the problem is not yet resolved. Honesty and principle are everything therefore, I shall let the Civil system be my path of recourse. We have dealt with Black's on several occasions and they always came highly recommended however this experience is enough to end that happy trail. Buyer BEWARE!

I came in this morning and a lady asked me what I needed I told her what my car said and she followed me outside when we get to my car she proceeds to tell me that due to Covid I'll have to find and connect the machine to my car myself. I looked perplexed because the gentleman from the day before didn't say anything like that. So she said it was a Covid rule, however this lady didn't have on a mask nor did she keep any sort of distance she very close to me. If Covid protocols were still in effect why didn't she have on a mask or socially distanced herself. If I wanted to work there and do her job for her I would have applied for a job there. It seemed like laziness on her part because In order to find this piece I had to get on the ground and look under the bottom of the steering area/before you get to the peddles I guess that's what it's called. So only Covid protocols applied when it came to doing that part of her job. If did unfortunately have Covid with her being so close to me in the first place she would have gotten infected so that was bull she just didn't want to do her job. Not that I need to go into an auto store regularly but I'll never step foot back in that store. The service is horrible.

I wasn't looking to break the bank, but I didn't want to cheap out either. BOOM! Found a 30% off coupon code online. (retailmenot.com) So... 1. Selected product online through Advance website 2. Apply code so I essentially get the top tier (store brand) battery for the price of the cheap-o special 3. Purchase using Paypal (bill me later= no interest for 6 months) 4. Get in my truck and drive to the store 5. They have it waiting for me, I just show my ID and they print out the receipt 6. I tell them I'm giving them the "core" back (my old battery) and they process "core" refund of...whatever it was...$20 or $30 a. It shows up as credit on my PayPal account immediately 7. REALLY nice guy goes out to my car and installs it for me 8. They take the old battery inside 9. I drive away and set my clock and radio stations again Normally they would have a battery backup that plugs into your car so you don't lose your saved stations...but someone stole the battery from the battery backup machine. I didn't cruise around the store, but it looked the same as every other Advance. Nice people. Prompt service. Good price for what I needed.

My opinion and my experiences with this O'Reilly and the few other O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as…read moreits competitor AutoZone, which always seems to be within 1/2 mile of each other--is that they try to their best to assist the customer and the customer's needs even if and when the customer has no idea of his needs----I r have been to this location 3 times in the last 12 months--I even recognize some of the same employees and the times I have there they have been assisting someone else or they asked to assist me ---and for the ones who assisted me, they seem to honest and a true desire to provide me what I need to get what I need done---they do not seek to sell me the highest price item and they tell me if the auto part is in stock---and 2 of the 3 times I was there the part(s) was/were in stock so they made a sale and I was in my way to fix the vehicle---win win situation. The times at this location I did not need their hands on service of helping my change out my battery or wiper blades or evaluating the check engine light so I do not know if their nice and helpful persona changes once they are outside but I would put money that it does not---I am more than happy yo return to this location in the future.
