Once she is finished, I start to tell her that I have a light out on the left side of my car. In the middle of me talking, she answers the phone and tells me to wait. No, I was not going to wait any longer. I got off my ass and actually physically came into the store to be helped. I would think that I would take priority over a phone call order, especially since I had already waited. We told them we needed one windshield wiper for a Dodge Minivan. One was designated the "winner" and showed us to the windshield wiper display and looked up the correct model. My friend picked up the appropriate wiper and started walking to the checkout counter when the employee informed us, "I'm sorry, but you can't buy just one. There are two winshield wipers on the car so we can't sell them to you separately." And of course we fell for it. She'd only had her license for 2 weeks and my birthday was still eons away so I hadn't even started taking driver's ed classes. So the both of us clearly had 'GULLIBLE' stamped on our foreheads. I'm not 15 anymore and have since learned that while it's a good idea to replace both your windshield wipers at the same time so they wear at the same rate, you CAN buy one at a time, unlike the information provided by that dope at O'Reilly Auto Parts. So even though I'm not as gullible as I used to be, I still avoid this place on principle and give them the evil eye every time I drive by.

The service department here is efficient and easy to work with. They provide me a *nice* loaner if my car has to be there even for a few hours. Recently they've begun supplying videos from under the hood and under the body to point out whatever they're seeing. I like this transparency. Last time I picked up my car at the end of the day and took off. My phone rang a couple minutes later; the service tech let me know that I'd left my backpack behind. He waited past closing time for me to get back and retrieve it. Nice service!
