When my husband took our 2022 Tucson to Walser, they told him that the rear blinker was on the fritz because of water in our rear lamps, which they falsely claimed was "due to collision damage" and therefore "not covered under warranty." They charged us $127 just to look at our bumper, then gave us an estimate for almost $4,000 to repair a problem that their own technician described as "already a known issue on these guys." We told them that this vehicle had never been in a collision, but they ignored us and falsely wrote on our invoice that collision damage was the cause of the problem. When I returned later to ask if a tear in the plastic (caused by a tire blowout 2 years ago) was the same thing as damage to the bumper, a representative confirmed that it was not. Nevertheless, she insisted that the technician had found a crack in the bumper when they looked under the car. That was their second falsehood. She offered to put it on the lift again, and when they checked again, behold, they found no damage to the bumper. The service manager admitted that the tear in the plastic could not possibly have affected the water in the center taillight (which is at the bottom of the hatchback), but she told me that a tear in the plastic could have caused the condensation in the taillight, because it had broken a seal, allowing water to enter. Another untruth, as it turned out. I later crawled under the car to personally have a look, and found out that it couldn't possibly be true. The manager said that she would contact Hyundai to see if they would cover the center light. She said it would take about 24 hours to get an answer. The next morning, she texted my husband to say that they submitted the request to Hyundai the day before, "and they are still deciding if they are going to participate in helping with the cost of rear lamp assembly. Hopefully they will have some kind of decision for me today." That was their last communication. After getting caught in so many falsehoods, it appears they thought it was just easier to drop all communications. That's when I made an appointment at Buerkle Hyundai, and (oh my) what a difference was that experience. I explained the problem and the damage to the plastic behind the wheel, and they immediately offered to submit a goodwill request to Hyundai to cover the charge. They said they might receive an answer in 10 minutes, but it might take an hour. What? You mean it doesn't take over 24 hours to get an answer from the Hyundai headquarters? (For those keeping score at home; that was Walser's fourth falsehood to us.) After Buerkle submitted the request, Hyundai approved the repair in less than an hour. Buerkle had the part in stock, and the whole experience, from driving in, to getting approval for covering the cost, to repairing the problem, took less than 3 hours. Everyone I spoke with at Buerkle was tremendously friendly and helpful, but a special shoutout to Danni. She's a gem, and Buerkle should give her a raise and a promotion. Walser Hyundai charged us $127, and their only service was to treat us disrespectfully and feed us a pack of untruths. (I'm not sure what the industry standard might be for charging customers for falsehoods, but $127 seems kinda pricey.) Then they handed us a $4,000 estimate to repair a problem that they knew could have been covered by Hyundai, if only they would take the trouble to submit the request. Buerkle Hyundai fixed the entire problem in under 3 hours, and they threw in a free car wash and snacks. The total bill for the visit? $0.00. Buerkle has earned two new customers. I hope this review wins them many more.

I documented and THIS DEALERSHIP didn't allow me to work directly with the technician. Compare that with Morries - I absolutely recommend them- where the technician was honest with me that Hyundai F'ed up (MY word) their PHEV HVAC system - that the floor heat is prioritied last - when outdoor is under 20 degrees and lower don't expect floor heat. WHO EVER THOUGHT WE NOW NEED TO ASK if the heat will work in the winter? To add more facts: dashboard heat was 60 degrees warmer than the floor when all heat is directed to feet only (logged over 2 months with a meat thermometer) - I brought all my testing to LUTHER and they said - hybrids are known for this. NO THEY ARE NOT! My Lexus worked great. Regardless, it is working as designed. Although I purchased the 10 year service plan, Luther had made the sale and post sale - if you don't fit into their troubleshooting flow chart - get the customer out the door. Why i am not happy with Luther is the ego - that nothing I said mattered. ON THE OTHERHAND, Morries totally cared and agreed with everything I said BUT EXPLAINED to me what the criteria he needed to prove so that corporate would assist us. We own 2 Hyundais and the other isn't PHEV and works great. We were up for purchasing a car but FOR SURE NOT WITH LUTHER dealerships and not a Hyundai. Luther dealership FAILED to be honest during the sale. The PHEV HVAC system is a known customer complaint. Luther would only follow their process - that it is working as designed - however it certainly doesn't meet Minnesota requirements. My previous car was a Lexus Hybrid and LOVED IT! The only reason I let it go is it wasn't tall enough when competing with semi trucks and SUVs. So my suggestions is if working with Hyundai be sire the HVAC system works and no to Luther bit a HUGE YES to Morries.

Recently I took it in for an oil change, tire rotation and general service. I don't drive a lot because I work from home, so it was a day or so later that I noticed - when they removed the oil change sticker they had put on my windshield at the last visit, they completely fucked up the tint on my windshield. Then they just slapped another sticker over it, like nothing had happened lol! I called them immediately and they asked me to email them a photo, which I did later that evening. I got a reply back that they had received the photo and would get back to me in a day or two. A day or two passes and I heard nothing. So I reach back out and let them know I had not received a response. Then another few days pass, and I reach out again. So not only did they not PROACTIVELY admit their fuckup - which I get it, shit happens, but you have to be professional when it does and let your customer know what you fucked up and how you're going to fix it. And sometimes there's just a bad apple who doesn't represent your business well. So they put the onus on me to bring their fuckup to their attention, and now they are conveniently ignoring me. My last email to them was to let them know that I will be pursuing legal action in small claims court if I don't hear from them again in a few days. Because getting the entire tint job redone is going to set me back probably $5-600 with labor.

Being an older car AND her first year driving, we starting searching around town for a used hood. Ace auto happened to have one on hand- the exact same color for $100! The process of going there and getting was a bit awkward for a girly girl like me. Thankful I had two guy friends to help! Upon entering, pick a paper number and wait your turn. Easy enough. When we got to the counter, the nice guy kind of chatted us thru the process and handed us gross, dingy fluorescent yellow beat to put on for our safety while walking thru the yard to inspect the hood before deciding to purchase. (Did I mention I was a girly girl? The germaphobic in me really wanted to pull out some sanitizer and spray the vest down before putting it on!). We proceeded to follow a worker thru isles of parts thru their warehouse & down some stairs and out a back door to the junk yard area. It was really quite an impressive set up despite it being out of my (girly girl) element! The worker was friendly and chatty as he weaved us around cars to the isle of car hoods. After giving it a good look see, we went back thru the yard, into the building, up the stairs, weaved thru isles and isles of tall stacked shelves loaded with car parts- thru the door back to the front desk area where we (very) quickly removed those dingy yellow vests and let the guy know we would go with the car hood. He then gets up and walks us over to the cashier area and hands that gal the paper work. It seems a bit odd that they don't just ring you up themselves and have a completely separate desk area just to pay. After paying, we went out to my daughters car to remove the old hood. They had said to come around to the yard to pick up the other hood but one of the workers actually brought in out to us. Nice!

Just had my car in for the second time to get an oil change. They told me it would take 45 minutes…read moreto an hour, but it only took maybe 30 minutes at most. This was my second oil change so it should be $5, but they accidentally gave me the full price one. Luckily when I let them know this was my second oil change they easily fixed it. I did see the oil was about the same price as other places, so that's good. The first time I got an oil change they forgot to reset the service notice in my car. But this time I asked to make sure they'd reset it, and they did! Only thing I forgot to ask was to make the correct number of miles for when I come in again. My KIA can go 7,500 miles before the next change but both times the sticker tells me 3k miles. I don't know if that's a computer thing or they simply don't know, but I'll just be going by when my car tells me to go in again. Everyone is nice and friendly from what I saw! But the little mistakes is why I made it 4 stars instead of 5. But to me, 4 stars is still excellent. Also their free service for a car wash is what you'd expect. It gets the major grime off, but both times there has been certain "stains" or residue left behind on the windows. Don't expect a completely clean car from it! Best to go to an actual car wash place for that if you want pristine. Still great for being free!

My 2016 Kia Sorento V6 had been serviced only within the Luther/Kia network, which makes this…read moreexperience even more disappointing. Before bringing it here, an independent scan had already shown multiple engine-related codes, including misfires and timing/camshaft correlation codes. While driving to the dealership, the vehicle went into limp mode on the highway. Luther Nissan Kia documented that the engine was approximately 4 quarts low on oil in a 6.5-quart system. I specifically told service advisor Stephen Stulz in writing that replacing spark plugs looked like treating a symptom, not the root cause. I asked where the oil went and asked for the root cause to be investigated. Despite that, they charged me for spark plugs and an oil service. When I came to pick up the vehicle, the Check Engine light was already back. Then they charged me again for an oil control valve. That repair also failed almost immediately, with the Check Engine light returning shortly after I left. Only after two paid failed repairs did they move toward a much more serious camshaft / CVVT / timing-related repair estimate of about $5,600. The communication after that was extremely poor. The vehicle stayed with them for months, and for long periods I received no meaningful updates unless I pushed for answers. In my experience, they did not seriously engage with the problem until I filed complaints and took legal action. After that, their explanations kept shifting toward warranty coverage, mileage, possible used-engine speculation, and customer authorization instead of directly addressing why the root cause was not properly diagnosed from the beginning. In my opinion, this was a very poor diagnostic process and a very poor customer-service experience. They documented severe oil loss, received a written root-cause concern through their service advisor, charged for multiple repairs that did not fix the vehicle, left the vehicle unresolved for months, and only became responsive after outside pressure. After this experience, I will not use Luther Nissan Kia or any Luther-affiliated service department again. I previously trusted the Luther network with this vehicle, but that trust is gone.
