I when on my only day off to pick up a part for my car and I got screamed at my face by one of the employees called Michael. He didn't believe me that I have ordered a part for my car. waisting my time walking in circles in the store and then he has the audacity to scream to my face just because he got frustrate at himself. i highly not recommend anyone to go to Autozone Kapaa, unless you need someone to scream at your face. Just left the store after unfair customer service (6 customers serviced before me, 3 in person and 3 were calls. Was buying a second starter and asked if the part was a manufacturer recalled or faulty would they compensate me for the labor chargers. Brandon asked me what sound I was hearing from the started and stated that his a mechanic and it not the starter. I stated that my mechanic said that that could very well be the case but highly unlikely the thing Brandon was referring to! To this statement he got very offended and I tried to explain that I just wanted him to test the starter and would use my mechanic to Dx the problem and/or he could also test the old one when I bring it back. Also, that if in fact, it was not truly the starter then obviously it's on me. Starter was under warranty yet had to purchased a 2 cd new starter. I am a women, medical professional (deal with the spectrum of human interaction) and contributor to our community. None of this was said. Energetically it was obvious that he was threatened a/o a superiority complex and probably something against women... I was ask to leave and threatened to have the police called by Brandon (claiming to be the manager) asked for owners numbers and was directed to the posted information outside which I called (first number sounds like it was disconnected, 2cd number left a message, 3 regional manager left another message). Hopefully, they will call me back! I tried to explain to him that I did not understand automobiles yet was asking a question and not sure why the answer was so complicated! Which ok, was probably rude yet I would not have gone there if he was going around in circles and wasting my time. He refused to check my starter and would not let the other employee check it. Have more to say yet think ya get the point! Appreciate this venue to vent and hopefully make change! Horrible service. An employee named "Colton" was rude, inappropriate, and completely unhelpful. He was trying to get me to buy parts I didn't actually need. I'm glad I didn't waste any money, but it was definitely a waste of time. read more

I went in the Kapaa store to get a part, the 2 guys stood in an isle behind the counter joking with each other..neither acknowledged me or asked to help me.. I finally had to ask them, got the stink eye for interrupting them, then when I asked for my part he didn't even know what it was!! I had to find one like it on the isle, it was 5", (I needed 6") when I showed them the part they shook their heads and got on their phones..Rude As......obviously no training??? Crazy over priced!!!!! Expect to pay 40% more for the exact same product you can get at Walmart or Amazon Prime. AutoZone needs to improve their customer service training for their managers too. Was glad to see them open the store here to give some competition but I will not be stepping foot in there again. Cancel my AutoZone Rewards! I won't be needing it. read more

So great! Ran into Tryten outside, he asked me what was wrong with my car, went in and got a meter to check between alternator, battery, and starter. They helped me get the right battery, installed it, took care of the old one for me and were super friendly and helpful throughout the process. Staff joked around with each other and seemed like family. Will be returning for all my auto needs. Oh yeah, last time I needed oil in late in the evening I tried 3 gas stations and then called my teenager... he suggested autozone and they were open late by Kauai standards and had what I needed! read more

I was pleasantly surprised today when I called AutoZone to find out if they had a part; the person there actually walker me through several different options for various parts I needed for two different vehicles. He also was patient on the phone with me and explained what the parts would be for and if I needed additional smaller parts to go with them. I also was super impressed that he recommended three different local auto repair shops that were reasonable in terms of price and great service. It's not often that you get good customer service over the phone especially to franchise like this. read more

Went in today, not greeted, not asked if I needed help. Asked guy where is a particular item was, he told me the wrong aisle. I got the sense no one cared to help customers. Workers talking stories behind the counter. Found what I needed, paid, no "thank you" from the clerk...nothing. Fail!! read more

Our rental car plastic bumper guard was coming loose and I knew they would try to charge us for it so I stopped by Autozone to see if the had the clips to tighten it back up. John was extremely helpful, not only picking out the part for me, but actually helping to get the old one out and the new one in. Thanks John- amazing service.
