No matter how rare or obscure the part, they've always been able to find what I needed from the right manufacturer. I've purchased parts here for everything from 80's/90's-era Mazda rotary-engined sports cars, older American cars, and modern German cars. In my experience, their prices for the same exact parts and fluids - from both OEM and aftermarket manufacturers - are almost always notably less expensive than what I'd been quoted from other shops, including big-name auto parts chains. Never once, in my personal experience, have they been more expensive. I live ~10 miles away from this shop, and have for years, and it's not just the good prices that keep me coming back. It's the staff. Lots of times, I got into parts stores with questions either about how to go about doing something, or which parts to use. The staff at the big-name places like Autozone or O'Reilly's typically haven't got a clue, or only know as much as their computer tells them right then and there (which is, typically, to buy some cheapo Chinese replacement part and call it a day). The isn't the case at all at North Suburban - their staff clearly have a ton of experience, and they're friendly guys who're always willing to give a customer advice. More so than anywhere else I've ever gone, these guys are consistently willing to give a customer face time to make sure they get exactly what they need and know how to go about installing it or performing the repair. Just awesome. It's a real shame places like these seem to be an endangered species these days. Even if I'm bringing my car into a mechanic to get some large amount of work done, I go here first to get the parts. That way, not only can I be 100% certain that good quality parts are going into my car, but after having just done this for the third time, I save a considerable amount of money on the parts.

An employee here took one look and said "it's too hard". What's hard about pulling two screws with the correct tool (that we know you have), pulling out an old bulb, putting in a new one and screwing the screws back in? I went to another O'Reilly location and they did it for me in less than 10 minutes. Seems like the staff here were lazy and just didn't want to do it.

This store made us waste over 2 hours because they gave us the wrong part. However, this store was the one who charged us the wrong part. They were unprofessional and gave little assistance, it looked like they were guessing on which specific part to charge us. It ended up being the wrong part when we tried to install so we had to drive another 30 minutes to that second location to exchange the part. The second store was much nicer and actually gave us the RIGHT PART. And most importantly-- IT WAS LIKE 50 BUCKS CHEAPER (whole part was basically 400$). So this store charged us for the MOST EXPENSIVE AND NOT CORRECT FOR OUR CAR ALTERNATOR. Learn how to do your job correctly please and double check your parts so poor people don't end up wasting their whole days over your pathetic little scams to overcharge customers!

Ross also put a scratch guard plate on the underside of my front bumper. Ross was great and is a great guy. After two years and countless scratches on and under my bumper, another high end car shop doing other work on my car confirmed that the Xpel "wrap" and the plate both saved my bumper and paint job. I brought my Tesla back to Ross and he replaced the wrap and confirmed that the car was protected by his original wrap.It looks fantastic it looks brand new. Here are pics of the wrap being scratched after 2 years of use and my car after Ross's shop replaced the wrap. Love it!
