After reading the codes on my car's computer, he asked me to open the hood to see if he could see anything obvious. Despite the fact that I looked for at least half an hour without noticing anything, he immediately saw the issue - a hose clamp was missing, and an air intake hose was disconnected. He helped me find a clamp that would fit, allowed me to install it there in the parking lot, and the entire issue was resolved. He even helped explain a noise that was heard when the problem started. Even though this was only a $2 sale, Evan was happy to help and made sure I was all good to go. I couldn't be more happy with the service. Thank you so much!

In a past life I worked for dealerships service dept and know all too well how most are forced to be ran , which would be pushy aggressively pushing various high dollar services that the customer truly is seldom ready to afford . Bill Estes has never been this way , I appreciate all the information they give me and that they accept my making my own informed decisions without being pressured into anything . Keep doing what you do Bill Estes folks ... I know how hard the dealership service life can be but you win repeat customers by doing exactly what you are doing !!!!

Looks like their star rating is well earned!…read more Predatory and incompetent best describes Bill Estes Jeep STEALERSHIP in Brownsburg, Indiana. As the owner of 10+ Jeeps, I have never experienced anything close to this level of dysfunction from a dealership. When I scheduled my appointment, I clearly disclosed that the Jeep had a brand-new Mopar direct-replacement engine with fewer than 150 miles. After the first 100 miles, I experienced misfire codes and suspected a possible electrical issue. Despite this, the dealership asked me to approve $3,600 for camshaft replacement and $670 for an auxiliary battery--a battery that had been replaced less than two weeks earlier and driven fewer than 15 miles. After I questioned the estimate, they backtracked completely and admitted that the $4,300 worth of proposed work was unnecessary. Had I not challenged it, I would have been charged for repairs the vehicle did not need. Next, I was told the Jeep needed catalytic converters. I again had to explain that one converter is brand new, installed with the new engine. It is concerning that a dealership could miss both a new engine and a new catalytic converter during diagnosis. Today, I received a revised estimate of $643 for one catalytic converter and O sensors, which I electronically approved. Hours later, they came back with a new price of $2,460 for the exact same scope of work--no explanation, no additional findings, just a massive increase. This experience raises a serious question: how often are customers scammed by Estes? I would strongly caution anyone considering service here to question every recommendation, request written justification, and seek a second opinion before approving anything. Service manager was unwilling to take responsibility as was the service advisor Dave. Pathetic

I didn't know what to expect. If I had known that you could rent a golf cart to go in the yard instead of pushing a wheelbarrow around a 6 football field sized yard filled with 100's of cars I would have done so. Noted. But all the vehicle's were elevated so getting under them was easy. There were engine lifts out there i didn't have to use one so I don't know what or how someone would go about borrowing one. But they have them. The parts are very reasonable and if you are in the tires or batteries, pretty much anything else that you could want or need for a vehicle they have it.

Overall, a pretty good experience. The staff were friendly, and the prices were cheap. It looks…read morelike they have a pretty broad selection, although they didn't have any Honda Elements (which I think are more rare). Now I know it's in the name, but just know that you will have to take the part off the scrap vehicle out in the yard. So some basic wrenching knowledge is needed. I took my own tools, but it looked like they had some tools for use out there. Also, if you are looking to get a big part, or a bunch of parts, they have wheelbarrows you can use, or golf carts you can rent for $5/hr ($20 deposit). The $2 yard entry fee was interesting...not sure why they'd charge me to look, but it's only $2. Also if you sign up for their free vip program you get two free entries and $1 entries after that.
