I saw a bunch of bad reviews but honestly i havent experienced automotive customer service this great in a bit. I needed a new battery asap for my car so i called ahead and they had it. Walked in and i was helped almost right away. I explained my battery situation and the young man who was taking care of me told me to pull my car up . He was out there in an instant and without delay and got to taking out my old battery while i purchased the new one inside and then brought it out to him and after taking out the old one he installed the new one in a matter of minutes and the job was done. He was super friendly and he answered any questions i had as well. Battery ran me 172$ and it came with a free installation and a 3yr warranty. Personally i had a great experience at this autozone and i will be coming back for any other automotive needs! read more

My fiance, his mechanic friends and I came in 30 minutes before closing time on a Saturday night for an emergency part that he needed to finish his project. Homer was extremely welcoming as soon as we walked in. He was knowledgeable and able to answer every question we had we ended staying all the way till closing time and not once did we feel rushed. We usually visit a cooperators store and only stumbled in because of the more accommodating late night hours, but after the service Homer provided this will be our new go-to store. read more

He diagnosed the problem AND found someone to come to me in the parking lot to fix it. I could not have been happier or more appreciative. I was 100 miles from home and he treated me like family. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM AUTOZONE ONLINE!!!WORST PLACE TO BUY ONLINE!! Ordered parts for my car, yesterday, Thursday, March 17, 2022, that are available at my local store but the online ad states, order online and receive 20% off and free next day delivery. I'm like, okay, I can wait a day and save 47 dollars. Oh yah, also buy these spark plugs and get a 10 dollar e-card as a rebate. So total 57 dollars and some change savings. Who wouldn't go for that? I received an email today, Friday March 18, 2022, sent at 2:27am that my order that is supposed to be delivered today, Friday, is being delayed. Nothing to inform me of the amount of the delay, was it a few hours, a day or longer? So, I had to call customer service...HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I was told that I would not be receiving the order until maybe on Monday, MAYBE. I'm like totally unacceptable. The order was placed because the parts are available and would be able to be shipped for next day delivery. So customer service solution was to cancel my order and I go to the store and purchase them directly from the store. So, I asked about my savings that I was provided for ordering online as advertised on Autozone website. Then they said unfortunately we can't give you that but they could give me a 10 gift card. I'm like this is not my fault why should I suffer a loss and a net gain to your company. I asked to speak to a Supv who acted as if I was taking him from valuable down time. I opted for the cancellation and not got to the actual store and NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM AUTOZONE, IN PERSON OR ON-LINE. IM LIKE YOU WANT ME TO PURCHASE THE SAME ITEMS AT A HIGHER DOLLAR AMOUNT FROM THE ACTUAL STORE KNOWING I HAD JUST PAID LESS MONEY ONLINE BASED ON AUTOZONE ONLINE OFFER. I'd rather go to O' REILLYS OR ADVANCE before I spend another dime at AUTOZONE. Autozone, you can't keep your promised commitments then don't advertise them. POOR POOR EXPERIENCE. I had to buy a new windshield wiper for my car. I liked the little machine they had to help you choose the right one. I didn't really know which one to get so I just chose one and proceeded to checkout. I appreciated the guy asking me if I was sure I had the right one. I told him I was mostly sure, but he was nice enough to come outside to my car and take a look. Turns out I had the right one and he even went outside and installed it for me. WORST customer service. I stopped in for a very specific item. There were three employees working, one was ringing out guests and the other two were literally on their phones watching videos joking around. The line had 6 people including myself. Finally, one customer spoke up and asked the two employees on their phones if there was anyone else to ring and assist since we had all been patiently waiting for so long. They both laughed and said "we are busy we will get to you in a moment". No apologies, No explanation. The customer got really angry and left. I also ended up leaving, and went to O' Reilly's across the road. read more

I have been to many different Autozone locations over the years. I expect, and normally receive great customer service. I have been to this location twice now, and both times I have had impatient, condescending or downright rude help. I guess the third time won't be the charm, since I won't be back. read more

This is my local Auto Zone store. I've been going there for over 15 years. Yesterday, the battery in my car died and I got a jump from a friend. I immediately popped over the the zone for a replacement battery. I didn't notice a single familiar face behind the counter. The counter man was able to properly locate the replacement cell in stock. While paying the bill, they informed me that I was "required" to purchase battery post grease if they were going to perform the install. I have NEVER been forced into purchasing battery grease before and this came as a shock. I paid because I needed the new battery installed NOW. The other guy "punk kid" who performed the battery swap was a jack-ass, period. And has no business being in a customer service roll whatsoever. He removed the old battery without incident, but installing the new one was a joke. He placed the battery post grease on the top of each post but neglected to spread out around the outside perimeter of the post. I informed him of this error only to be told, "Yeah sir, I already did that". I watched him and he did not do that. Next he installed the battery wires on each post of the new cell. I told him that he needed to clean the contacts with the wire brush tool and he informed me, "That's not my job"... I asked him, "Excuse me, that's not your job?" and he said, "Right". I was actually dumbfounded. I mean, who the hell's job is it, if not yours. I even asked if the connections were tight because you're pulling upwards of 400-500A during a typical car start. He said, "Yeah, the connections are fine". He twisted the post connection and of course it was loose. I got home and took his installation apart and corrected his shitty workmanship. I was quite disappointed to say the least. read more

I went because my brake light was out. I asked if they could install and they said it depended on my car - they went out and looked at my brake light to see if they would be able to replace it. They were! I bought the brake light bulb and they asked if I wanted to purchase the oil to put on also - which I agreed to. I spent less than $10 for the parts and they installed it for free. I wanted to tip the guy who did the work but he wouldn't let me. I will definitely be going back. Everyone there was helpful, professional and friendly. I would not have been able to replace myself and if I had taken it anywhere else I would have been charge for the labor. read more

He was very professional and helpful when it came to the purchase and installation (in the dark) of a new battery for my vehicle. The worst service I've witnessed in an auto parts store, ever. An elderly woman & myself were in the store for 5/7 minutes before either of us was acknowledged. 3 different employees, one walking around with a soda saw me standing in line, yet it was the manager who finally told me that I needed to get into a different line if I wanted assistance. This young man, very unprofessional in his approach kindly waited until 3 more people walked into the store before sharing this information with me, then with a smirk, proceeded to argue with me a bit. Obviously having no clue who I am & the influence I have on this neighborhood to keep everyone I know out of this store. They really need to hire professionals to work this store, AutoZone used to be the place we all could count on, now it's just a last resort because it's convenient. Oh well, O'Reilly's it is!! I'm here at O'Reilly now, I barely got a foot in the door & was already greeted by the young lady at the counter & even the gentleman on the phone gave me a nod & smile, it's not hard to be courteous, that's all people want when coming to spend our hard earned money. read more

I Called around for pricing on a new batter for my 2010 Ford Fusion. Pricing was very comparable between a few places, but because of convenience, chose AutoZone in Bolingbrook. Called them to make sure they had it in stock, and that they would replace it for free, and they said yes. I even looked online, and filled out the form to match the correct battery. When I got there, they spent 45 minutes trying to take my battery out, to then tell me, they can't get it out. They told me I need to go to a dealer because there must be something special about it. I had to return my battery, and go on my way. However, my car was not starting then. I had to go back in, and get them to come back out. Now the check engine light was on, and the car was driving like it was only in neutral. So they did a scan on the check engine, and said it was something that must have just been a coincidence, and no way it was because of the battery. It was something to do with toggle actuator. After 10 minutes, the car finally started working magically so I went on my way, and called the scan codes into my mechanic. The very first thing he read was, that it can be caused when taking a battery out and touching the positive to a ground incorrectly. This will cause an issue with the toggle actuator and make it seem like the car is in neutral. He said the car probably reset itself but the check engine will stay on. Needless to say, I spent 2 hours at AutoZone, to cause more issues to my car, and not even get a new battery. The only good thing to say about anything, is the manager that helped, seemed knowledgeable to an extent and was very friendly. It is the only reason I kept my cool, because this is absolutely ridiculous service. read more
