We experienced the Uncruise Adventure named the Wild, Wooly, and Won aboard the ship the Legace. We had the best time. The crew was amazing. Captain Tim, Shelby, Matheew, Chad, Andrew, Will, and Chief are genuinely great people. The entire team was just outstanding and so much fun. Highlights: The food was five stars. We did not have one bad meal. Andrew mixed up some incredible drinks at the bar, and the chief was amazing. The boat was so cool and comfortable. We loved the small size and saw parts of Alaska that were very remote. The wildlife was life-changing. We witness Wales bubble feeding, bears eating on the shore, Eagles everywhere, sea otters, dolphins, jellyfish, and more. If you like to observe aminals in their natural habitat, this is the adventure for you. I was gobsmacked by how incredible the crew of the Legacy was with all of the guests. Honestly, the crew made everyone feel like family. Can you imagine running around on a small skiff in remote Alaska with a marine biologist talking about all the wildlife around you, especially the humpback whales? Shelby was truly amazing and made everything enjoyable. What an incredible group of people. Lastly, was all the fun and amazing people we met on our voyage. The best part about our adventure was all the new friends we made. The thing about this cruise is everyone is in great shape, loves adventure, and is around the shape age. I was worried the ship would be packed with escapees from the Seattle nursing home. That is not the case at all. The youngest person on the boat was ten years old, and we had a few grandparents along for the ride with their families. I can promise you everyone had a great time. In conclusion, go on this adventure. It was an absolute blast. Thank you again, UnCruise, CaptianTim, the crew, and our new friends. BEST TRIP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT, a few big drawbacks: The boat, the Safari Endeavor, was very old and not as advertised. The sales literature said it was renovated 11 years ago. Patently untrue. The boat was built in 1984 and looks and vibrates like it was built 40 years ago, too. I also felt I was patronized constantly as an older person. I'm 65, in terrific shape, hike regularly and bike 20 miles daily. I was told ridiculous things like, "Let's give the seal lions room," as if they don't know how to swim, or "let's step back from the edge" of a viewing platform as if I were a toddler. Just not my vibe. Also, excursions that were advertised as two hours were cut short to 80 minutes at least three times. Our trip also had many people whose tickets were comped, including the large family of the cruise director, which lent an odd air of missed privilege to the adventure. It didn't help that Alaska is melting; for the money, I would recommend Patagonia 100 times to Alaska. It's much more beautiful with exquisite blue glaciers that are still visible. Or for old spruce trees, visit the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota. If you do go to Alaska, I'd find another small ship operator with vessels that are worth the dollar charged. The Endeavor needs to be retired.

Can not find a specific page for my boat so going to do review here…read more What: 7-night Alaskan cruise sailing round-trip on Anthem of the Seas from Seattle Sept 5 - sept 12, 2025 Who: We were a group of 5 ranging from ages 20-50. We definitely had a variety of interests between us. With myself probably being the most active out of the bunch. Itinerary: Our boat sailed from Seattle and had stops in Sitka, Skagway, Juneau and Victoria,BC. Was a little bummed it did not also stop in Ketchican, but I did know that when i booked the cruise. I had seen some other friends do cruises recently to alaska and their ships stopped there and it seemed like it was pretty beautiful. Activities: Loved the variety of activities! This is why I booked on Royal again. I had done a caribbean cruise on Royal a couple of years ago and loved the amount of things to do. From production shows to dance classes to dance parties or game shows, or trivia, bumper cars, roller skating, escape rooms, ifly. These were just a handful of the activities we enjoyed while on the boat. My husband and I were going pretty much non stop and staying up until the wee hours of the night because we didn't want to miss out on anything. Entertainment: The entertainment was amazing. We loved the 3 production shows "spectras cabaret", "the Gift" and "We will rock you". The talent was amazing as was the set. We didn't really understand the story line in the gift but none the less the acting and dancing was still fantastic and this ended up being my husbands favorite show. Cabins: We were on floor 8 on the rear of the ship in 2 rooms. The rooms were spacious. The bed was not the coziest and the pillows were a little big. Limited TV channels if that matters to you. We chose this room to minimize motion sickness. Food: We enjoyed the food. My husband really enjoyed the meals at the main dining. The rest of us had our dinners there and then had breakfast/lunch at the wind jammer. Found plenty of options to eat. I do wish they had the food items labeled as if they are gluten free, vegan, vegetarian. So we would not have to ask however......... That is really the only complaint. Eating at the main dining room however was easy after the first night. You will get the same waiters each night and if you have special dietary restrictions they will have you order for the next day the night before. It does simplify things. This ship also did have a smoothie and fresh juice bar. I did enjoy a couple of fresh vegetable juices and a smoothie while on board but this was of course at an extra cost. There is gluten free pizza available in the pizza bar you have to ask for it though. If you go away hungry on the cruise that would definitely be on you. Service: was excellent. They go above and beyond to try to assure your happiness. Fitness center : Dont buy a class pass! The fitness instructors for the paid classes are just not good. This is the 2nd cruise where I have just thought they fitness instructors were BAD. Honestly pretty archaic teaching and styles. Think 1950s style of teaching. I will never pay for another class pass as this time i tried it and just could not stomach trying to get through the poor classes again so only did classes first couple of days.

Our first time in a new cruise line. We've been on many…read moreCarnival cruises and felt it was time to explore other lines. I wanted a destination that'd be new to us as well, to enhance the experience. Since we booked the Alaska 7 day via Costco travel- we got an on board credit added and a Costco shopping card that's be received 30 days from the return of our trip. I have a friend that has done some cruises on RC and she gave some tips. But, once I started looking on You Tube- I've received additional tips from frequent RC cruisers. Install the RC app and about 3-4 months til your sail date- plenty of shore excursions will have discounted rates (10-25% off) and specialty dining experiences as well. We purchased The Key- which You Tubers have mixed reviews on. Special perks for The Key: special lane to enter cruise terminal (earlier entrance- 9:45am). Key group is allowed first along w/ Pinnacle & Suites. Day 1 on ship- special lunch in main dining room & ordering from Chops (specialty restaurant) menu. If you have a carry on- another perk is that staff will deliver your carry on to your stateroom. Lunch is served for Key members at 11am. So, regardless of what time you enter your boarding time on the ship- take advantage of early on board perk. Rooms are available at 1:30pm. Day 1- many staff are like vultures trying to sell you specialty dining packages. We decided to bee line to Guest Services- then they pointed us to Bolero to have a North Star reservation revised. While on Deck 4 (Royal Esplanade) on Day 1- we even signed up for the week long Thermal Spa couple package $238. Which allows guests to utilize the thermal room, dry sauna, and steam room- along with the variety of cold showers/ cold mist/ tropical rain features. Reason I knocked a star down is, (comparing to Carnival 7 day cruises & larger ships)- there is no salt water pool in the general area of the Vitality Spa. Also- no Vitality Cafe is also n Anthem of the Seas. Such a bummer because it'd be refreshing to have a fresh squeezed juice after enjoying the thermal spa. In the ladies locker room- one toilet is provided. Yikes. If you get the thermal spa package- we made sure to snag some bath robes. The relaxation room, is spacious and provides citrus infused water. As with any cruise- monitor your bill daily because we were billed for services at the spa and some beverage charges at Windjammer that we didn't purchase. The ice cream machine isn't readily available on Anthem- like it is on the Lido deck on Carnival. The ice cream machine here gets locked up at 8pm. I didn't get a chance to enjoy one cone. Womp womp. The solarium (+18 up) pool area was great. We did this on the very first day after our Key lunch. Frustrating that the towel pick up is on one side of the solarium area. And there was no signage at the opposite side/ Solarium where to get them. I like to do some of the trivia activities. What's annoying is Schooner Bar has cramped seating and the trivia activities are back to back. Which makes it difficult for others to snag seats. But, the Desert Pear margarita is delicious! The North Star experience is definitely worth it. Since we didn't do a whale watching excursion- it was so cool to see orcas from our 300 feet vantage point! I loved how Windjammer staff was on point. I had some questions and so did some guests about ingredients in dishes. If the immediate staff manning that station didn't have an answer- they would politely excuse themselves from their station & ask another employee. Music Hall was my absolute favorite venue. Even if there was no show to catch at the moment. But, the upper level was so spacious and it was great to stretch your legs out. Dress Your Best has 2 nights on the ship. And we never rush ourselves to get dolled up on the first occasion (Day 2). We prefer mid cruise- Day 5, I believe. We snagged our photo oops before long lines start. Although we haven't been cruising (Carnival) since 2018- it's cool to see RC offer digital images to view versus printing out every image taken. And if you find an image(s) you wanna purchase- it gets sent to your phone/ device. No SD card! We did book Wonderland which was a great experience. We're sold on Royal Caribbean and look forward to our next sailing.

Issue with their billing: When I selected the option to mail my Passport renunciation application, VFS Global's web application for the Indian Consulate retrieved my records as per my ARN and calculated the total payment due. In that payment, it by default included $7.99 + fee and tax for the Photo service. There was no instruction on that page on how to upload my photograph for the service. If you are looking to experience the polar nights and the Northern Lights, in a casual cruise experience, this is one fabulous way to do it. TIP #1: Don't expect night-time entertainment...no movies no dancing no casino no live musical acts. JUST MAGNIFICENT VISTAS and QUAINT TOWNS, many stops (about 67 total), but only short opportunities to get out on land. This is a trip focused on taking outdoor excursions and hikes, and seeing the dancing lights. BRING YOUR OLD SLR or download a cell phone APP that lets you take nighttime photos at a slow shutter speed....this trip, for me, was about experiencing the AURORA BOREALIS. TIP #1: Upgraded to the window at the last minute while checking in at the Hurtigruten Terminal in Bergen at a great discount! Only $200 USD. Even with the bottoms of the lifeboats in the line-of-sight, I was still able to see out to shore. The view might be more problematic on Dec 7, but on Deck 6, no worries. FOOD: Local sourced foods, so you eat like Norwegians. Dinners are the usual seatings just like on other cruises, but dress is casual. Except for the Captain's Farewell Dinner...though only the crew seemed to be dressed fancy for the occasion. Otherwise, it's a lovely buffet at breakfast and lunch also highlighting local ingredients. The chefs are very inventive and all the meals are beautifully presented. The desserts are inspired and pretty to look at, especially the wide variety of mousse; loved the smoothie shots at breakfasts, the bread is amazing, and there's a wide variety of it and crackers, and while I normally don't slather butter on anything, don't miss out on the butter, it's amazing; there IS fresh fruit but don't expect a wide variety. I changed my dinner meals to VEGETARIAN, and was pleased, as I wasn't so keen on reindeer and steak and cod or lamb. But I tried bites of them, and they were all good. Vegetarians/Vegans can find plenty to eat and the kitchen often offered a vegetarian entree at the buffet. No ice sculptures, just great food. SUGGESTION TO HURTIGRUTEN: The Asian passengers I met really missed their white rice...and, to be honest, me too. Maybe add some Asian flair to your buffet, because even I missed white and/or brown rice. EXCURSIONS: They are for the hearty because the hikes are a fast pace due to the time constraints. But ALL the excursions I took -- The Arctic Coastal Walk, the dogsledding in Tromso, the Russian Border trip in Kirkenes, the Marble Mine near Kristiansund, the Vesteralen Trondenes Church bus and ferry trip were all amazing and worth your time and your dime. TIP#3: Don't miss out on Lofoten By Horse in Gimsoy, Lofoten. Riding Icelandic horses with a view of the Northern Lights on a sandy beach AND on great trails under a mountain (and apparently alongside a links golf course...it was dark!)...JUST WAS MAGICAL!!! Highly recommend the horseback riding...beautiful horses...lovely clean stables, beautiful barn turned restaurant!!! SUGGESTION TO HURTIGRUTEN: Offer year-round golf excursion at Lofoten Links!!! OVERALL: As long as you don't expect a fancy dressy cruise experience, you will LOVE the nice people on the ships of the Hurtigruten....it used to be a boat delivering mail, and it still acts as a ferry for the locals (and their cars). But that's part of the charm. You get to meet locals going about their commute. The food is great. The excursions are too. I had intended to visit Iceland, but when I found the Hurtigruten cruise, I changed my mind and took a chance on Norway. It didn't disappoint. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
