My son was faced with a bad starter at School and asked the towing co where they suggested he take the vehicle? Well he suggested Autotronics and boy am I glad they did. 3 months later oddly enough just before he headed back to school as the first unit failed as his first semester ended. So I rushed to get the vehicle in to a local shop 5 hours from Autotronics and followed up by calling to check on the warranty. Jay at Autotronics was absolutely incredible. Told me not to worry I was covered. Take it to where ever I want and get it repaired. But it didn't end there. I was heading to the west coast and Jay knew I was busy and he took the time to call the national warranty center and get a claim started for me and call me with the number! Are you kidding me? This level of service has all but disappeared from our society, but not in Mankato. In the end we had the vehicle repaired and yep Jay called to follow up on how it went. My rack and pinion steering broke while I was visiting Mankato. I went in without an appointment dripping steering fluid. They fit me in and did an excellent job replacing my rusted out rack and pinion. I don't live in Mankato but if I did I would Autotronics for my auto repair. read more

For nearly 3 years I have been emailing and waiting, calling and waiting, emailing and waiting for Autotronics and their FALSE promise to take care of an air conditioning repair/mistake... warranty situation that they made while working on my GMC Yukon. They told me the new parts they were using were covered under a nationwide warranty. Perfect for me as I was just traveling through the area when I need the repairs. Shortly after their repairs went awry and I needed to have it fixed again when I arrived in NY. Shortly after that the parts went bad when I arrived in Florida and the nearly $1200 repair had to be redone and parts replaced. Not only have they not responded to messages/calls I had to once again pay to have their work/parts redone. I originally used this shop because of the good reviews and experiences. The folks at Autotronics are some of the greatest and most helpful people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I recently had an incident in which my vehicle had been towed to their shop but left on the street by the towing company even though Autotronics assured me there had been room for multiple vehicles. At the time of my vehicles arrival the shop was closed and the town had gone into a snow emergency which lead to my car getting towed by another towing company. When I called in the morning to talk about the needed repairs I found out that they had my keys but not my car. The service rep I spoke to at Autotronics volunteered to call the two companies and try to work something out. Unfortunately the towing companies didn't want to work together and wouldn't release my car without a hefty fine of ~$117. As I tried to work with the towing company at fault, Todd, the manager of Autotronics, called me and volunteered his services to be of help anyway he could. I went to the shop to speak with him as the towing company at fault still wasn't accepting any responsibility. We talked and he said he would call me within the hour to see if he could work something out. Within 30 minutes he called me and told me that he had arranged a deal with the the two towing companies and that everything was taken care of. I can't thank these guys enough, especially Todd! They treated me like family and kept on a smile even in a very difficult situation. My car was repaired in rapid time and I went home happy after a stressful day.
