Well he suggested Autotronics and boy am I glad they did. 3 months later oddly enough just before he headed back to school as the first unit failed as his first semester ended. So I rushed to get the vehicle in to a local shop 5 hours from Autotronics and followed up by calling to check on the warranty. Jay at Autotronics was absolutely incredible. Told me not to worry I was covered. Take it to where ever I want and get it repaired. But it didn't end there. I was heading to the west coast and Jay knew I was busy and he took the time to call the national warranty center and get a claim started for me and call me with the number! Are you kidding me? This level of service has all but disappeared from our society, but not in Mankato. In the end we had the vehicle repaired and yep Jay called to follow up on how it went. Needless to say we are customers for life and so should anyone in the Greater Mankato market!

Fortunately he was going slow enough that he was not injured but he was left stranded and the front fender of his car was damaged. This was a defective part and repair should have been covered by warranty. While AutoZone (part supplier) did pay for the repair to the front end, they have still not paid for the damage done to the front fender. It has now been 3 months since the incident and I just keep getting excuses. If this had happened at highway speed, my son could have been killed or seriously injured. Greg's and/or AutoZone need to step up and pay my son for the damage done to his car as a result of a faulty part!!!

The 2nd shop said $2,000 to replace all 4 struts and that should take care of most of the noise.... Old Town Garage took 5 minutes to find a broken piece of a coil spring rattling upon bumps. I asked them to put a new pipe on instead, 6 days later and my car hadn't moved. That's funny they had it diagnosed in an hour. He doesn't like it when you question his advise. The service writer was very short and condescending. Ever since Tony started working there, I have had problems with them getting my car done. Before that I never had a problem. I used to talk to Mike all the time. Now I just don't go there. Too bad there are several great mechanics there, but they aren't going to work on your car till you get past this guy.
