Recently, while driving on Hwy 17, the CVC joint on passenger side went and sent the car off into the on-coming lane. Fortunately no one was hurt and there was no wreck. Had car towed to repair shop, it was put up on a lift, and the mechanic said that the passenger side CVC joint was completely shot and the other didn't look too good. These problems existed when the car had the brakes redone but not one mechanic said anything about the CVC joints. This was a life threatening situation. I can't recommend anyone going to this automotive business because they don't seem to care.

My wife took the car to Browning two days before Christmas and paid $38 to have the tire patched. She was assured that not only was the tire patched successfully, but that all four tires were checked carefully for any other nails. So far, so good. Except that we woke up Christmas Morning to find the tire in question completely flat. I swapped the tire out with the spare, and found two other nails in the same tire. Well, you know, these things happen, I'm a reasonable guy and I dropped of the tire on the 27th (first day they were open after Christmas). They once again patched the tire, once again charged me $38. I asked what pressure they filled the tire to, was told 35 PSI but when they checked it, it was only 25 PSI. Now, if it was me, I would have assumed that there was still an active leak - not Browning, they filled up the tire, sprayed a little water on the hole they had just patched, pronounced it "repaired" and sent me on my way. You guessed it, went flat again. So we're buying a new set of tires for the Expedition - not from Browning however. There are shops with much better prices who do their work correctly the first time.

Long story short. I got into an accident that was an estimated cost of $1600.00 and some change…read morefrom my insurance company. However, looking at my car I didn't feel that my bumper needed to be replaced like they were suggesting. I went to 3 other body shops around Wilmington who were telling me that they were just going to go off of what my insurance company suggested and another one quoting me over $2,000.00. All of the other body shops were telling me that it would be a 3-4 day repair. I was quoted $900 with Neil & was told he would be able to get it done within a day. And not only did he get it done within a day, but because it was just my fender being replaced (he also found the piece I needed, I just needed to buy it and pick it up because they didn't mail their parts) it costed me under 300.00 to fix. I dropped my car off at 10:00 AM & it was ready by 1:00 PM. I'll definitely come back to him if I get into another collision. Also, when he initially quoted me the $900, he fixed a noise my door was making from the fender being pushed in and the metal popping-- no charge for that.
