Update to company response. I was happy that my window was fixed when left shop. My AC does not…read morework and the mirror was run into (prior to first fix so irrelevant). But seal was NOT pushed into door jam. That has nothing to do with the 100% markup OR the 2.5 hours I was charged for labor on a 1 hour job. And windows are meant to go up and down. I am unsure what your idea of excessive is, but my window use is not excessive. Wonder what NAPA thinks? After reading the glowing reviews, I was worried about submitting this review. However, the one negative review on here could have been mine. In November 2022 I had my window regulator on LF door replaced. Cost me 357. 2.5 hours of labor and a 100% markup on the price. (did not realize that at the time). The same part broke last week. Called Lauger's and was told they would warranty the part but not the labor. The owner was very nice and said instead of charging me 2.5 hours of labor he would only charge me for 2 hours. (Come to find out that both part and labor are under warranty.) Also advised it would be 3 weeks to get fixed but would squeeze me in in two weeks but if I swing by on a Friday, he will get the window out of the door and tap up so it was closed. I did stop by, but the window was too far down to be able to easily pull up. I was willing to forgo the window being up and asked to see the invoice for the part so I could reach out to the company it was ordered from and complain that if it was not a bad part to begin with, I would not have to pay labor twice. The owner refused to give me a copy of the invoice. Instead, he said to return in 2 hours and if I waited, he would get the door fixed. I was feeling very thankful and returned in two hours. Surprisingly enough, my car was fixed, and I was driving away ONE hour later without having to pay a thing. ONE HOUR. And, there was no paperwork given to me because he said that the part broke because of my window being too tight and putting too much pressure on the unit, but he was not going to tell NAPA that so that they would pay warranty and labor. He also advised me that he called NAPA and argued with them to cover the labor for me. REALLY???!!! When they have a 2-year parts and labor warranty?? So went home and googled it. The time to fix the regulator in my door should only take one hour. (As proven when he fixed it in less than an hour). Went on NAPA and found the part was charged to me at a 200% markup. I get mechanics are going to mark up the price of a part, but 200%? I will not ever recommend this place to anyone. Overcharged for labor (2.5 hours instead of 1) and marked up on the part. This is the kind of place that gives mechanics a bad name. It is not reasonable in my book and now concerned about the part he put in my car.

Don Shearer and Hershey Auto have taken excellent care of our family's 4 cars over several years…read more The cars range in age from 2011 to 2019. Our latest issue involved needing an emergency PA State Inspection for one of our kids living out of state. Don was backed up but worked him in. While that was ongoing, my husband and I had car trouble in New York state. We had the car towed to Hershey Auto, and despite being backed up, he ran diagnostics and solved the problem. Separately, they work hard at Hershey Auto to present your repair options, the time it will take, and the cost of each option. They walk through the pros and cons of each path. Cannot speak highly enough of Don, Robert, and Hershey Auto.

Well, sometimes you need your car checked out and there isn't time to get to the grandparents. I called Hershey Auto and they could get me in within the week! All the correspondence I've had with them has been informative and best of all: kind. Don explained what I needed done and didn't try to add anything. They have early drop off available, so I could leave my car the night before and fill out a form/envelope and slide it in the bay safely. My car was ready before I was even done with work the next day. Their transparency gave so much peace of mind. Now for the best part: the price! I was expecting to pay three times what I was charged here. I can truly say they treated me like a grandkid and took great care of me! Highly recommend and can't thank them enough.

Stated the under carriage worked on wasn't wiped down ,showing salt n road grim but clearly from the pics he had it was. So at his expense it was towed to His dealer where it was bought n after checking it out ,yes confirmed,it was Jiffy Lubes fault ,so now he had another bill to pay ,lost 2 days of work n all they would compensate him for was the oil change in the end. I should think with a business you hv n bad employees that don't know what they're doing ,he wouldn't have a job any longer. So I see them for my next Oil change n my family n friends.....never to go there .And after reading quite a few reviews, Jiffy Lube shouldn't even be in business! Beware Buyers or best DRIVE elsewhere. This just isn't right for anyone . As he had photos, documentation n still got screws put to him .

Joe Mays Towing came to my home in the middle of the night and towed my car from the parking lot…read morewithout cause. I've parked in the same spot every single day for the past two years with no issues. I got home from work around 8 PM, parked as usual, and when I went outside at 8 AM to leave for work, my car was gone. They towed my vehicle 10 miles away and then charged me $300 to get my own car back. The person who claimed to be the manager was extremely rude during the entire interaction. He told me my car was towed because my permit "wasn't shown," even though it absolutely was. He also admitted they towed another car because the permit was "hidden," which tells me they are not even properly checking for permits before towing people's vehicles. When I questioned their pricing, he said that if I needed a tow from the side of the road it would be a "different rate," but refused to tell me what that rate even is. Completely sketchy and suspicious behavior. The fact that they can't or won't provide the standard roadside tow rate raises more concerns about the legitimacy of the $300 charge. I also asked for an itemized receipt and proof that my permit supposedly "wasn't there," and they refused to provide either. That alone says everything about how they operate. This was completely unnecessary, stressful, and expensive--especially when my permit was visible the whole time. Their behavior shows a lack of care, professionalism, and accuracy when towing from residential areas.
