These, along with the crowd's comments, we're hilarious! The shorts were a blast, a great appetizer for the movie to come. We haven't laughed so hard in a long time! It really was a lot of fun! Brought back memories of yelling at the Rocky Horror Picture Show; which I might add, was at midnight after the Cineprov!! (They even gave out free tickets to watch Rocky Horror!) On a scale of 1-10, I rate this experience at a high 30+!! We will DEFINITELY be back!! It was great fun, and refreshing and something new! How often do you talk at your tv, saying funny stuff during an old movie you have seen?? Here, you can do it with the crowd and your hosts, who lead you through the movie. I can't say enough. Plus they were showing Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I love me some Buffy. Thank goddess I had my GPS, because I felt like I wasn't hip enough to know where the place was. The GPS insisted that it was there, on the left of 14th St. but all I saw were dark, unmarked buildings with no cars in front and no foreseeable places to park. Being a little afraid, My friend and I parked near where the GPS lady kept angrily insisting we navigate back to (recalculating!!!) and parked. It's a BYOB joint so I stashed my bottle of wine in my bag and we eyed the old 2 story building doubtfully. We saw a couple other people wafting in, so we hiked up our big girl panties and moseyed on over. Upon entering the main room, we found it full of people. Where the hell did they come from? Apparently a parking lot in back. The cool kids knew this. Signs would have been nice, but I guess if you have to ask... Anyway, we paid our admittance and got a card that gets stamped each time you come in and after a certain number of times you get in free. Pretty cool. We walked up the steep stairs into the screening room. Not that big. The riffers sit at a big table in the back, and the movie is projected from there onto a smallish screen at the front of the room. There is no food to buy- at all, so you should come with food or after you eat. Basically bring anything you would want to consume because they don't mind. The riffing was pretty damn funny, although initially hard to hear. It's not really their faults, it's just the nature of the beast. You get used to it, though. Overall, it's definitely a cool Friday night excursion, and something different to do, especially for only 10 bucks. I'd recommend going with a group to get the full effect. The audience adds a lot with their own commentary. Maybe now I won't have to have my annual MST3K marathon at my house... no, I still will.

Parking was easy, there was an option of street parking, or parking in one of the surrounding lots. We found parking in the lot across the street and paid $6 for 2 hour parking. The event had very strict covid requirements, you had to present your covid vaccination card to get into the front door, also mask were required during your entire stay unless you were eating or drinking. The concessions offered was chocolate candy and twizzlers. There was water and canned wine for sale as well. The theater was small and intimate designed in such a way that no seat is a bad seat. The staff asked the attendees to not record but of course there were several offenders who needed to politely be asked to stop. I truly enjoyed the performance it was outstanding and a lovely tribute to Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. The restrooms are on the top floor, it was clean and well maintained. Overall, we had a great experience at Theatrical Outfit and I look forward to coming to another production here.

The service is very good here, considering it's a crowd of 300 in a small space. Alberto took our order for drinks, and we had a couple and enjoyed the evening. Service was great. The only issues I had was surrounding the bathrooms, it's two unisex "one-ers" and the line can get long. Afterwards we walked thru the diner doors and I bought a couple cookies for two of our group. Over a year ago, a friend invited me (last minute) to see SOD's performance of Richard III, and I straight up cancelled my other plans to attend, because you know...free theatre and good beer. We got there late. It was freezing. It was crowded. I had to sit on the ground the whole show. And yet... it was life changing. Never before had I seen theatre like this! It was raw and participatory, and the actors captivated a loud, drunk audience with everything they had. Paul McClain as Richard III dominated that stage (or lack there of) like the world was his, and the supporting cast was just as mesmerizing. Since then, I've made it a point to attend every show they've put on and plan on continuing to do so as a devoted "groundling." Quick notes/tips for new attendees: 1. Arrive early- seating is limited and first come, first serve. 2. Dress for the weather- the shows are outdoors. 3. Participate!! Shakespeare on Draught wants and encourages the audience to cheer, boo, sing, or drink along with them- it's part of the experience! 4. Parking is usually not a problem but it's best to Uber/Lyft because you know... beer. Give this band of thespians a chance and I assure you, you'll not regret it!

Within my first three years I had booked over 40 independent films and video projects, a full page ad in a national magazine, had three films that were sold for distribution, including one to Netflix, was in commercials, industrials, and many other acting projects including improv shows and community theatre. The community in terms of networking at the studio is incredible, the relationships, and insight is just phenomenal. Nick has created a wonderful platform to really grow! The long form improv shows are so much fun, hilarious, and great to see the craft of this style of improv well executed!

I'm writing this review to share my honest experience at this acting agency. I'm giving it one star due to two specific incidents. Incident 1: Payment Confrontation In one class, the instructor publicly confronted me, accusing me of not paying. I had given him cash directly, and his reaction was to claim that, after 20 years of experience, I couldn't fool him. It was humiliating. The only reason he backed down was because another student--who happened to be white--stood up for me and confirmed he had done the same. I felt racially profiled since the instructor didn't believe me until someone else vouched for me. Incident 2: Being Sent Away On another occasion, I arrived about 5-10 minutes late due to construction. I arrived at the same time as the owner, Nick Conti. Despite paying for these classes, he told me to leave in front of everyone, and I had to immediately drive back 40 min in traffic. I've seen other students arrive late, some traveling long distances as well. To single me out made me question if race played a factor again. When I returned to the next class, other students apologized to me for how the situation was handled. I appreciated their kindness, but I would have expected that level of professionalism directly from the instructor or owner. These experiences were unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome. I can't recommend this agency.

We had free tickets for the 3 pm taping. When you arrive, the check through process can be a bit…read moreover the top but I understand that. My major grip with them is the hospitality. We arrived around 2:30 and was there until 9:00 pm for the taping of 2 shows. Not even a cracker was provided to eat! Cheap, ghetto and classless is what I call it! There is not even a vending machine. I never saw on any correspondence that taping would be that long and nothing to snack on available. Tyler Perry, Steve Harvey and Family Feud bring in toooo much money for not even a small pack of peanut butter crackers, a granola bar or even a 25 cent bag of chips to be served!!! I was totally disgusted and turned off by this because although it was a free taping----you wouldn't be able to do it without a live audience!! A little bit of appreciation for 7-8 hours of your time would have been nice. The staff seemed mean, over worked and underpaid. No smiles other than the production manager who had a curly natural fro ponytail. There was a heavyset black guy with a black winter beanie cap on that told my daughter the Smart Pop popcorn was for people who were there all day.! Well wtf do you call 2-9pm. Then to make matters worst, the staff and family members of the contestants are hot lunches in our faces. It was so classless! Steve Harvey and the hype man were so cool though and really provide for lots of laughs. Steve even left us on a spiritual note. He is definitely a natural comedian and speaker. Now that was a 5 star experience! Just Steve, hypeman, music, and the show itself 5 stars! The production company and the professionalism and hospitality of this place is a 3 and that's being nice. Overall, moving forward I would not recommend spending your precious off day setting around starving all day to see the show. I'll just watch from home but should you happen to read my review and go------ Eat a heavy meal before hand bc these cheap ass folks will not even provide a saltine cracker. If times are that hard they should just stop taping. I went to a few live taping and they at least provide light snacks via vending machine or free lay out. Despicable and changed the way I look at Tyler Perry Studios. Production company needs to get it together. Would never return and don't recommend!
