We had a problem with our garage door 'wheels', where a couple of them were looking like they wanted to come out of the railing. We found our guy a LONG time ago here named Troy at Automatic Garage Door Service and Repair. As usual, Troy took care of the problem, and garage door is now functioning even better and quieter than before. We've used Troy I believe 3 or 4 times so far, and I would recommend him for any garage door related repair. He is very thorough, knowledgable, easy to get along with, great sense of humor, a great handyman to have around. He treats customers with respect and dignity and goes the EXTRA mile to make sure everything is fixed and functioning. In a valley that has many garage door type services around, I would ALWAYS recommend Troy for his expertise and craftsmanship (work ethic) in making sure that customers are well taken care of. Thank you Troy, you came out in a very reasonable time and we once again had NOTHING short of a great experience again. You're our go to man! Your prices are ALSO very reasonable. Tom P. read more

Called Troy about my garage door barely opening and he was spot on that it was likely the spring. Also, was very flexible on scheduling and came out on a Sunday and ready to do the work for a very reasonable cost. Replaced my springs, adjusted my garage door and lubed the hinges all under an hour. Check Troy if you have garage door issues! read more

I needed to replace my garage door opener. I called Troy at automatic garage door service and repair. A few years back I needed a spring replacement for my garage door and I called Troy he replaced the spring the same day and that spring is still in service. My garage door opener was not always opening. I called Troy and got a quote and scheduled a day to replace with a new Lift Master. Troy is very knowledgeable with years of experience. My family loves the new Lift Master it's so quiet and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Automatic Garage Door Repair and Service. read more

In the morning, Troy called me to let me know that he was on his way to my house. He arrived promptly. He was professional and friendly. I watched him as he replaced my broken springs. I appreciated that he was working very safe. I found out that he was very knowledgeable about his business. I also had him solve another problem. The bulb wouldn't turn on. So he solved that problem too. I noticed that his work truck was fully stocked with parts & equipment. It seemed that he always had parts to use to fix my stuff. He explained and showed me where to lubricate the garage door to keep it working fine. Troy is a very nice guy and I HIGHLY recommend him to come to service/repair your garage door. He is really reasonable with his costs. He is my "Go To" automatic garage door Guy. Thank you Troy! read more

I called to request an estimate for a repair on my garage door. After hearing what was going on, I was told that it was an easy fix and I could do it myself. Once it was explained to me in a way that a 73 year old could understand, I did manage to fix it myself. Customer service is through the roof. What a guy! read more

He fixed my garage door immediately and explained how it worked and why the problems come out, even other potential problem in the garage . A very honest man with decades experience, I'm so glad I didn't call a wrong person. God bless him , blessing all customers. read more

Troy is the owner and technician. Very nice person. Was prompt and personable. Was able to educate us on our garage door opener and door. He repaired the garage door opener instead of simply recommending a replacement for our 18 year old garage door opener. He serviced and lubricated the rollers. I would recommend his service and seek his advice on any garage door related home maintenance. I felt comfortable with the value of his service. read more

Our garage door opener crapped out on us, & Troy was able to come out the next day. He was very cordial & knowledgeable; he made it a pleasant experience. He found that the capacitor went bad, so he replaced it, lubed up the door, took less than an hour, & a great price! Our 21 yr old Craftsman opener opens like new! Thank you, Troy! We will definitely be in touch down the road when we need a new unit. read more

Great service! Troy really knew his business. Our car had been held hostage by a broken cable. Though this looks like it could be done rather easily, it is not something that an untrained person should ever attempt. I never realized how out of whack our door was! Troy went over it with a fine tooth comb. When he was done our door was level, lubed, and worked as good as the the day it was first installed. We highly recommend Troy. read more

I contacted Troy after a previous company left me hanging. He asked if I knew what the issue was and gave me an estimate over the phone - I had a Broken spring. He proceeded to tell me he could help and would be at my home within the next 2 hours, which was perfect. He arrived about an hour and half later and began working. He was a great communicator and educated me on the kind of garage door I had. The work was done quickly and he didn't charge me an arm and leg like the other company would have. Will definitely be contacting him again if needed. read more

Fast response and very friendly. I've used this company for two different garage door problems and both were fixed quickly at a fair price.

2nd time using the company and I gotta tell ya the owner is awesome. He goes out of his way to make it an amazing experience and he teaches you things along the way. I appreciate that there are still amazing people in the world that truly want to help. read more

I'm a real estate agent in the San Fernando Valley but recently sold a home in Lancaster to my friend's parents. Unfortunately I wasn't able to negotiate a garage door opener for them in escrow, so as a gift I told them that I would install a motor for them. I found Troy on Yelp with wonderful reviews so I decided to call him right away. We scheduled the install for the following morning and he was on time and ready to go! Aside from being a great guy, Troy is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to garage doors and motors. He is very methodical, clean and has attention to detail. He is a true professional and is now my main go to for the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas. read more

Troy...thank you so much for your help today! Tony was professional, honest and a nice guy too. I've been working on this garage door system for the past couple of months, replacing a number of things including the springs and the logic board. I now know more than I ever imagined there was to know about garage doors and openers. However, it still had a problem that I couldn't solve. Tony showed up and got the heart of the problem immediately and he was right! I highly recommend Troy at Automatic Garage Door Services. He even followed up with me the next day to make sure everything was good. read more

Showed up during the 2 hour time frame that he gave, and called 30 minutes before he arrived. When he was surveying the problem, he was also explaining what he was going to do. He was able to not only fix the problem, but he also serviced my garage door too! I am so grateful that Troy had the availability to fit me in the same day I called! read more

Troy, owner of Automatic Garage Door Svcs, answered my call for help in a professional, friendly manner on the same day I called... a Saturday. He quoted me two prices - one if the cable needed replacing & one if the problem was the spring. Both prices were very reasonable. When he arrived, turned out to be the spring that was bad.. He walked me through what he would be doing & went to work. When he let me know he was finished, not only had he replaced the spring, he had made some needed adjustments to the door itself & the opener. He had also checked out the other door to make sure it was good - no extra charges. I highly recommend Troy for swift, professional, friendly services. Will definitely call him again! read more

Troy, the owner and operator of Automatic Garage Door Services, is a great person to know when it comes to anything associated with garage door services. Upon contacting Troy to install new garage door openers, he quickly came over and gave me an accurate estimate of the project. He was able to start within several days and did an amazing job with my garage. I stated to him that I really wanted a neat and clean project with my garage door openers, meaning I did not want cables laying around or staple to the wall in an disorderly fashion. He stated he totally understood and was on the same page as me when it came to seeing a neat cabling system for the door openers. He worked quick and went about and beyond what I could have asked for when installing all the devices I asked him to. I cannot truly state how great Troy is at Garage Doors and i HIGHLY recommend him for any door services. Javier read more

Wish I could review the actual work but I can't. Called them over two weeks ago and was told he was "booked" for two weeks straight so he would call me back to schedule. I found it weird that he couldn't schedule me 3 weeks out but whatever. So, I waited over two weeks without calling anyone else to do the job because I figured why would they lie to me about calling me back and who doesn't want the business? I don't know if its because the house is on the less desirable eastside or cuz of my accent but in any case, don't hold your breath if he tells you he will call you back, just find another company that is willing to schedule you on the spot even if it is weeks out. read more

UPDATE: i just needed to add one more thing. Troy, personally messaged me because i gave him a 1 star review. his insults to me were unbelievable. im sure i will be hearing from him again over the updated post. read more

I called to request service. Troy (owner/operator) gave the me run around about having other customers as a priority and did not seem to care whether or not he was getting service from me. For this reason, I declined to move forward with the request. His craft may be great, but I will never know since his customer service was so poor. read more

I dread household problems that are over my head . You can read tons of reviews here but I take all of them with a grain of salt. In the end you still have to cross your fingers, hope for the best and make that cold call. Troy is a garage door expert. He not only fixes the obvious but looks for the underlying cause of the problem. I know what you are thinking. Looking for problems. This is really going to add up fast. Nope. He is just very thorough and goes the extra mile. The bill was so fair and reasonable I was shocked when Troy handed it to me. One of the best calls I ever made. Thank you! read more

I called to have my garage door remotes reprogrammed and to have the issue of my garage door not opening every now and then looked into. He came out and reprogrammed the remotes, lubed the track, and tightened the chain. Cost $85. Two days later we find the garage door program to my husband's car still worked which it should not have. I called Troy who stated this has never happened and he thinks it may be due to the system being old. He offered to refund me $42. I felt that was a fair compromise considering the original reason why I called him out was not resolved. Low and behold, three days later we find the garage door not opening has resurfaced. I'm not happy with the services because what I paid for and was assured was resolved was not. read more
