I am 71 yrs old. Previously, I used Roll Rite Garage Door, Joey, for my house's garage door. He did ok, but did not give me the senior discount as he said. Then I used him for a rental house. He charged $275 to tighten and lube springs. I was not given an estimate. He just adjusted the springs and lubed. The internet says that it would cost between $80 and $100 for this job. I feel I was taken advantage. This is almost three times the amount an average garage door company would charge. Then he sent a receipt (which I had to ask for) for $225. I had to ask for corrections. He was not very obliging. Since I don't like getting ripped off, I will not be using him again and cannot recommend him. Oh, yes, no senior discount, again. read more

I called around for pricing and for quick on-site service since my torch spring broke . I could not lift it even with the emergency release since that spring carries the weight of the door. I spoke with Joey he was very professional and said he would be out in about 1 hr. Pricing was about average but Roll-Rite had good reviews. He was here in 1hr had materials ready to go bc my door was heavier duty the springs for only $25 more nothing to ridiculous. He told me there's no way i could've lifted the door on my own. Ultimately they began to fall apart and the engines stopped working. Joey came out and gave me an estimate. He also was able to get it done within a few days. Probably does great work if he wants to. Joey had worked on my 20-year-old garage door 4 years ago, and had to come back once after to tweak things. It's never worked reliably but I've just lived with it until this week, when I decided to finally fix it or replace it. Made an appt with Joey, who came by on time today. He tried the door once, noticed that there was a mechanical lock in the way. First reaction was, "WHO PUT THIS ON HERE?" (I've never touched it, and said that.) He then said there's nothing wrong with the door. I told him that it very frequently doesn't work. He repeated that there's nothing wrong with it, implying that I'm lying or didn't know what I'm talking about, and left. Fortunately, he didn't charge me for insulting me. After he left, I tried the other door and it didn't work. Based on the reviews (and even the 5-start one I gave him years ago!), he was probably just having a bad day, but I'll look for another garage door guy. read more

Called Roll Rite and Joey said he would be here in 45 minutes and he was! Turns out the previous owner of house had done some really shoddy repairs.
