After paying 400 deductible, we were told we had to go back to originating deal for service. They are two hours from our location! Autoland was of NO help! BUYER Beware was their position. Went in January 3, 2025 to purchase a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Unlimited. On January 4, 2025 not even 24 hours after purchase the check engine light was on and the vehicle was misfiring. I told Janine I had a code reader and what the codes were. She told me that it can be something as simple as the gas cap and to reset the engine light and contact her if it comes back on. The light I was told to clear has not come back on yet but it is still acting like it is misfiring when I am excelerating. I tried to contact her yesterday afternoon Tuesday January 7, 2025 with no response whatsoever until 7pm to say she would call me the next day January 8, 2025. I have not heard anything. I see other people have had difficulty with this buying service but my experience was with their Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union rep Jeremy and his associate in Sacramento, John. From start to finish the whole thing took about a week which is amazing because most places don't even have the car I was looking for in stock. I got a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid for barely over MSRP which is almost impossible right now! They also handled my trade-in and all the paperwork. This was by far the easiest buying experience I have had with any agency. Full disclosure, up until 2011 we bought our cars through a family friend who owned a dealership. That was definitely super easy. But I would say working with autoland rivaled working with an old family friend. It was great. I have absolutely no complaints, the car looked amazing, it was detailed and ready to go. The only thing that could possibly be improved upon is a little bit more information about the functions of the vehicle. However that would probably happen if I had bought it at Hyundai directly. This is the 2nd time we try to use Autoland through our bank. This is the worst service ever. We had to do all the work of looking up vehicles that we were interested in. When we asked her for an "out the door" price for a vehicle she found us, she could not give us that information. We ended up finding our own vehicle, again, and we did not pay for markups. I hate going to the dealer to buy a car because you could spend hours trying to choose one and negotiate a good deal. Luckily, I did not have to because of Autoland! The whole process was really simple...and most of it was from the convenience of my laptop. I got pre-approved for a car loan from my credit union online, then clicked the car buying option on their website. Autoland was one of the three choices shown. I entered my e-mail address and began viewing both pre-owned and new Honda Pilots to get an idea of the price. Soon after, I received a call and an e-mail from Autoland representative Jackie Bernardino. She was so professional, polite, and personable from start to finish. I went in thinking about buying a used car, but she found a new Pilot that was only $300 more than the used one! After a few more conversations, we set up a meeting time at our local credit union. As my husband and I entered the parking lot, we saw our car with a big blue bow on the hood! We met with Jackie to sign the obligatory new car paperwork, and met with the credit union representative Cynthia to sign the financing documents. Honestly, thought the experience was going to be much better as I've used a car broker in the past albeit a different one. My previous broker experience was fantastic, he was able to get me the car I wanted at a good mileage and a good price. I didn't have to do any legwork. This one not so much. My broker seemed like a nice guy but seemed like he had an agenda. It really sucks because this was through my credit union so I thought it would be good. He simply could not find any of the cars I wanted and if they were available he said he couldn't haggle much on it (???) Isn't that your job? He found another car and sent me the price but it was the exact same price as it was listed for? I scheduled a call with Auto land which they called a few minutes late but I gave them the makes and models of the cars I was interested in. After 8 days, no response. I called in and spoke with a young guy about my experience who didn't care much but said he'd have another rep reach out to me. The rep, Eric, called me the next day in the evening while I was busy and I told him I'd call back the next day. I ended up leaving over 3 voicemails with Eric which he never responded to. Never got to spend my pre-approved auto loan money so I ended up using a personal loan instead. We normally deal with CarMax and when I said that - all the rep did was bad mouth them. Give me options lady - not negative feedback on them. (SMH) Here's a suggestion - pay a commission. Maybe it will motivate your staff at Autoland. With that spec, we emailed ALL the local Toyota dealerships in So Cal. We did not disclose our phone number unless they had that specific model in stock. As expected, the dealerships replied back with, "how about a red one?", "how about a 2WD model?", "we have white, but blank interior", blah, blah, blah. All of them wanted our phone number and/or come into the dealership to talk. Such a waste of attention. I should have given them the phone number to other dealerships... We decided to visit three dealerships unexpectedly. When we arrived, no body helped us. Some sales rep saw us, but decided not to approach us (Longo Toyota in El Monte, bad service). I guess we did not look like a couple can can afford a $50K car. Some sales rep approached us and wanted our personal information right away without letting us know if they had any in stock. I spoke with Stephanie Dunn and she was so wonderful at first ( a little over the top, told me not to trust dealerships and how horrible they are) but I chose to trust her. I had expressed how clueless I was with the process. (Though I had done a lot of research and was skeptical, and had my father helping me as well) I wanted to see what she could offer. She contradicted herself over and over. she called the next day and had a car for me which was way over my budget and after telling me this process was gonna take a long time she magically had the best car ready for me. I expressed several times that was a lot more money and I wasn't comfortable with the amount, she pushed over and over for me to move fast and that I I had to make a move right there and then because it was such a good deal ( it wasn't, it was same price as of the dealership) but she thought I was "clueless " she tried to sell me on their protection plan for about 20 mins which was mostly cosmetic when I stopped her and said "this is too much Info right now, I need to think about it and talk to my Wescom agent who was approving me for a loan, her whole tone changed, she got upset and rude with me and started guilt tripping and even offered to put one of her financial reps to talk to me about the loan I said " I do NOT feel comfortable talking to someone else about my loan as my agent at Wescom is someone I've worked with for many many many years and I trust him" she ignored me and talked over saying how I was gonna miss on this amazing deal. Disgusting behavior! I'm appalled. Please please please beware. Just FYI I went to the dealership later that day got my self the same car in the color I actually wanted with a better package and THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper minus the manipulation, disappointment and unethical tactics she used on me. She called the next day to aggressively "check in" with me and when I told her I had gotten a better deal with a better car she said "oh my god, wowwww" and in a very pissed off way and hung up the phone. I have never given a negative review before but felt compelled to do so after my experience with Autoland through Mission Federal Credit Union. I had been looking for a used Honda with lower milage. The sales consultant, Anthony, was able to locate a 2015 Honda Civic for mle. The first thing I noticed was multiple scratches around the bumpers. I was shown only one online prior to coming to pick up the car. I went for a test drive where the car performed well. I purchased the car and took it home. When I was backing it out of the garage a few warning lights went on. In addition I found that the drivers side lock did not work. There other automotive problems as well.I was going to take it to the mechanic but decided to drive it to work the next day. When I was driving to the freeway entrance the car lurched and would not go faster than 10 miles per hour. I was able to nurse it back to a parking lot where I called tow truck. I am not being dramatic here but if this happened on the freeway, I would likely be injured. I returthe. the day within three days to Autoland were they took the car back and I cancelled my loan. It was obvious that Autoland did not inpect this car at all. I assumed that was the end of it and asked Anthony to find another car. He said he was having trouble finding another one with with my request. I looked for myself and found one within three weeks. Three months later I recieved a parking citation as the car was still registered in my name. After calling Autoland payed for the ticket which was expected. The rep informed me that the registration could not be changed until the car was sold. What I was not told was that I could fill out release of liability through the DMV. I should have been told about this option right away. This was significant as I would be responsible for any other mishaps. I asked Sandy to send me an letter verifying that I sent the car back to them. She was going to ask her supervisor and let me know. She has never gotten back to me and has not return my wife's call as she requested. Autoland was irresponsible and unprofessional. DO NOT USE THEM for anything . They have lost my trust completely and feel fortunate to no longer have any dealings with them. read more

Auto land has not gotten my partner his registration in three months! There is no communication about getting him his license plates. They have not been responsive after numerous calls and the credit union that has been helping him since they were the contact point has not been able to get his license plates. Buying the car is easy, everybody is eager to make a sale and commission - but heaven forbid you might have some issues with your car in the future and ask them for a document. Pray that you don't have a flood or house fire and lose your documents. They save things in file boxes and toss them out. They don't save any of your documents digitally. It's kind of shocking that in this day and age they wouldn't be able to tell someone what dealer they purchased their car from just by looking into a computer. I am extremely happy with Autoland, and the service from our rep, Jorge. We initially requested a car through Costco, and was referred to a dealer by Costco. This dealer didn't have the car for a couple of weeks, so we had to wait. Then they called my wife one day and stressed the urgent need for her to come in right away. So she dropped everything and went over. They made her sign form after form without telling her the price, and after more than an hour, they finally quoted her a price that was significantly above msrp. When she asked whether this was the Costco price, they said that inventory was low, so they didn't have a Costco price. Then they said that this is the only car of this model in all of California and tried to pressure her to buy. And the color wasn't what she wanted, but she was feeling the pressure to settle. So, she walked away, and we emailed Autoland. Turns out, the dealer wasn't telling the truth (shocker!!!). Jorge found us a car in a color that we wanted, emailed us our price right away, and two days later, we picked up the car at the Credit Union. We also did the financing through University Credit Union, and it was really the easiest process we've ever gone through. Toyota doesn't current have any financing deals and the rate that Autoland provided was lower than what the Dealer was proposing. So, all told, we got the same car (with an added convenience package), paid less, and with lower rates, our payments are about $50 less each month, and there was no haggling/pressure. I recently bought an electric car through Autoland. it was a good price. i got a free day return on the car. On the first day the headlight went out. I took the car to my local dealership to get the headlight replaced.They confirmed that my electric battery was only good for another 7 months of warranty and could cost me in excess of $8000, which explains why when charging the battery it took a charge but decreased quickly just driving from my driveway. I returned the car within my 3 day grace period for free. They found another car for me but it was marked up more than $2000 from what the dealer advertised price was. I found all vehicles they sent to me were advertised less on Autotrader.They didn't mention that their service raised the price, and didn't expect that I was looking behind the scenes to check the prices. So there is no savings with this service except they have the paperwork ready and deliver the vehicle. Check the price before you buy at the source on Autotrader, if it is marked up, you are paying Autoland a commission .Buyers beware! read more
