Worst car wash I have ever had. Parts of my car were left completely untouched. Dust still all over my dash, the inside of the doors were untouched. My third row was completely ignored, not even vacuumed... I will never be back here. I got home and realized how much was missed. Probably the worst experience I've had at a car wash. The old owners were much better and I rarely had to ask them to go over things. They did not take out the floor mats or clean under them, I had to vacuum myself after and there were still sand dog hair and crumbs left. Just don't waste your money here. I wish I hadn't. I get a better deal going to the self vacuuming ones in town but wanted to pay for the extra quality this time. There was no quality. It's not worth the money. Take the drive down to the Greenville car wash instead. read more

So disappointing they switched owners. They won't last when you compare Main Street car wash to Autobell. The quality isnt the same and more expensive. No option for tip at the register or a tip jar outside for those workers that clean the cars inside. The workers under Main Street car wash would actually smile and seemed like they enjoyed do it.80% decrease in staff and I felt so bad I had no cash on me cause I was caught by surprise with that it was under a new owner. If I could give less than one star I would. I went there on Monday, March 11, 2024 and they left soap on my tailgate, mud on the running boards and in the wheel wells, all my windows were worse after I got the wash than before, bugs on the grill, water spots everywhere because the truck is black. I did notice one good thing: It was a nice clear day and there were only three cars there. When it was Main Street Car Wash I always had to wait at least 30 minutes because the place was packed. Maybe these fools will go out of business and somebody else will buy it and do better. Also, I just bought my truck and on Tuesday we noticed that the step side bumper on the driver side was broken. The truck WILL NOT allow you to back into anything. All I can conclude is that the car wash broke it. See pictures. read more

The car was not entirely clean, the "tire shine" only was applied to 1/2 the tire, the spare tire was not shined at all, the interior was not properly vacuumed (an 8 year old could've done better). Warning potential customers of Autobell Car Wash Buncombe Street in Greer, SC: This is what could happen to YOUR vehicle. On September 29, 2023, I decided to take my 2016 Ford Transit Connect Passenger Wagon to Autobell Car Wash and opted for the top-of-the-line car wash (the Armor-All for $39.99). This is a car wash where you drive up, stay in the car while you go through it (engine running, in neutral) and then drive it out where the rest of the service is completed in the parking lot. After parking my van where they directing me and exiting the vehicle, I headed towards the lobby. Imagine my surprise when, as I turned around, I saw the license plate light, rear hatch release and backup camera body panel hanging by two wires (see attached photo). Those wires were the remote release for the latch and the backup camera. Immediately I walked out, up to the rear of my van and asked an employee to come over and explain what I was looking at. I tried, in vain, to reattach the panel, but it was quickly observed to be snapped from the eight mounting tabs that form the bridge that is attached to the vehicle's rear lift gate. The van's condition going into the entrance of the car wash was as intended... intact and fully functioning, because I had backed up out of a parking spot not but a mere 10 minutes earlier, showing a clear view as it was working properly. But now the camera and body panel were hanging askew, pointing to the ground, the evidence of it being the car wash that did the damage. The manager on duty, Stephen, said he would start a claim and do his review (consisting of checking the car before mine and one right after mine to see if they were damaged... more on that later). Having found none, he determined, without evidence, that there must have been damage before and that it contributed to the van's broken rear latch, camera and license plate light / surround. I ask him how he comes to that conclusion. He cannot except to repeat boilerplate "I have found no fault in our equipment." In frustration, I categorically state, logically, that my vehicle was intact going in and not so much so on the exit. What's the common denominator? Their car wash facility. I start feeling a bit of dread hearing his response and can only imagine what I expect to hear further up the chain of command, making the impression that I am dealing with a rubber stamp factory instead of a car wash. Before leaving, he says that I can appeal the decision, hands me a yellow copy of a triplicate form and instructions on how to get in touch with corporate in Charlotte, NC and off I go, straight to my local Ford dealer, where I am a customer. I will spare you any more agonizing details about the dealership and their response ("Yeah, they broke your car and they will deny, deny, deny any responsibility for it... happens all the time). The dealer rep removes the hanging panel and keeps it so as to color match the new part coming from the warehouse in Atlanta. So, now a near $40 car wash is costing me at least another $320.00 to repair this damage they caused. And time, let's not forget about time. I hear back via phone two days later from Stephen's boss and explain the situation from my perspective. I was asked to bring the van into the car wash location AS IT WAS found leaving the car wash on Friday. Well, the Ford dealer unplugged the panel as it was dangling and in danger of falling off, along with my backup camera. I explained again, that it has been touched and I will bring the piece and my van back (the panel was left with dealer as the repair is underway). Today, two days later after that phone call, I make another trip to the car wash. So, today, the final part of the "appeals" process occurred and the person in charge of this location of Autobell, Harrison, basically said the same thing as Stephen on Friday... pre-existing damage (there was none... van hasn't been in an accident involving the area in question... minor front end collision 5 years ago that has nothing to do with the lift gate). As to the theory of the vehicle before and after not showing any damage, I mention that this logic is flawed. A Toyota Camry in front and Chevy Silverado have different parts and body panels. Just because one in front and one in back don't show damage doesn't mean that mine was already with some pre-existing condition. Additionally, Harrison said that his belief is that it did have prior damage and THAT THEY JUST FINISHED IT OFF! Because of their insistence of not covering it and making it right, I have decided to report this far and wide. So, remember this when you visit this place and if YOUR vehicle goes in one end of the bay and comes out the other with something destroyed, damaged, crunched, etc. prepare yourself for more of the same as I just experienced. Denial of responsibility is their go-to response... basically go pound sand, and a sheepishly "We're sorry for your damage and your experience." read more

One of the absolute worst car washes in Upstate, SC. On 2/23/25, I went to get my truck washed at the Greer location. My antenna was bent up pretty bad as my truck went thru the wash. I mentioned it to the manager on duty, Jayden Young, and he went over to bend my antenna back into place. In the process, he totally breaks my antenna off of my truck. I then proceed to complete a claim form for the damage. After about 15-20 minutes, Mr. Young informed me that AutoBell would not be liable for my damaged antenna. However, Mr. Young completely lied on the claim form, as he states, "the customers antenna broke in the wash cycle". That was a complete lie and a way to cover himself, as my antenna was broken when Mr. Young tried to bend it back into place.Terrible customer service, as you have managers that lie, in order to cover their mistakes. For anyone needing a car wash, I advise you to stay far away from this place. They are a complete nightmare. read more

Very disappointed that Autobell took over from the wonderful, professional and friendly Main Street Car Wash. I had used Autobell in Asheville and had a bad experience but thought I would give it a try. I was greeted by an unprofessional person who neglected to tell me it cost $7 additional dollars to have car mats taken out of the car and washed, I would have gladly paid it. The cleaner, an employee of Main Street Car Wash, told me and did it for free. One of the managers was on his phone the entire I was talking to him. Another manager just said, "that is the way we do it" referring to several things I was talking to him about. They did nothing to secure my business. I will not go back. I am a Charlotte Autobell fan, this location is near my other home. I was a big fan of the wash on Wade Hampton that closed recently. Closing made me find this location. I have been here twice, not the Charlotte location at all, both times attention to detail is not there. Water left all over the hood, so much tire shine once you leave you now have a dirty car again from sling. The wait in line is long and just doesn't run the same as the Charlotte locations. I know staffing is a struggle but when you get employees training is what's missing here. The Autobell attention to detail is not present, getting away from home base is hurting your reputation. Spending $35 a wash after tip is way to expensive for the experience. I can get better results at Spinx doing it myself better and cheaper. read more

I am very disappointed with the service I received. I used to wash my car here and I always left happy. Today I went for the first time after they changed the name of Doorbell and nothing to do with the service they previously provided. The wash on the outside was nothing spectacular, when I got out I could still see the marks on the glass where the windshield wiper passes, inside I paid an extra $15 to the price of the wash for a special vacuum, but when they gave me the car I could still see dry grass and dirt in my car, the carpets were not cleaned well, the interior of the car was quite dirty, I think if I had done it I would have been better. I really paid almost $50 and I think the service is not worth it. If I go to the spinx, the car will probably be the same or better paying less than half. read more

I brought my truck in to get all the pollen off. The wash was not effective in removing all the pollen and they just waxed over it. They needed to manually brush the hood instead of just spraying their magic juice on the hood. For $30, not happy. read more

This company took over a perfectly functional car wash named Greenville car wash and made it very inconvenient. We had been going there for 3 years when it was Greenville Car Wash. Tried it twice since AutoBell took over, I could list a lot of reasons why we won't be using them anymore, but I wasted enough time going there and giving this review already! I don't recommend this place at all. What a disappointment. It is supposed to be family owned but seems like some corporate company who could care less took over. All of the inside shopping options are gone, and they have 1/3 of the staff they used to. My car was always super clean, and today half my car wasn't even vacuumed. We had a bad experience today. They were obviously understaffed. I am not sure if this was just today or every day since the Main Street car wash got closed. Just about 8 teenagers were there to take care of your car after the washing process. With Main Street car wash they had about 20-25 hardworking employees taking care of you car and in pretty good speed. The new employees have been so slow. Cars were piling up, about 30 in line waiting to get finished. They had to stop the car wash in between because the cars couldn't leave it anymore because of the backup. We really liked the Main Street car wash, but the new one is just expensive and the car still dirty. There was still bird poop on the hood and the side windows were not clean. I paid $42 for a small car, because you have to pay $7 extra that they take your 4 mats out to rinse those. We watched the employees very thoroughly, and noticed, that they didn't take the four mats out. They didn't open the trunk as well and my left mirror was still folded, what means they didn't clean the mirror too. I called for the manager and he finished the cleaning by himself. This took another 15 minutes. We spent an entire hour there! We will not return. We can clean our cars better somewhere else for less money and do a better job cleaning the inside. read more

I always get the best car wash which is more then I spent at Main Street and asked why they did not wash my mats last week for my Jeep and was told "oh if you want that it is an extra $7.00??? I looked at my wife and said that is the final straw. Last week when I had my other Jeep washed I had to ask them to wipe my running boards. I told my wife that is probably another $7. I used to come to Main Street car wash all the time. I went yesterday and paid for the most expensive/thorough car wash they offered and while the personnel was friendly I will not be going back. My seats and floors still had crumbs and small trash throughout my vehicle and my windows still had fingerprints and smudges on most of the glass.
