As a young woman with worn brake pads & zero knowledge of cars or mechanics I was so nervous to come into AutoZone today. I was helped by a lady named Tiffany and she made my experience at AutoZone an extremely positive one. Tiffany was more than willing to teach me a little more about the brake pads. She explained to me while purchasing, how they worked, the warranty on them, etc.. I'd been advised a couple of times during prior oil changes that my truck battery was going dead, so I decided to go to Autozone for a second opinion. It was around lunchtime and after a rather lengthy wait, one of the managers hooked my battery up to test it. The diagnostic equipment indicated Bad Battery, confirming what I had suspected and so I went back inside to purchase a new Duralast battery. The manager got a little sidetracked after I'd paid and the next thing I know is "the new girl" was going to install it for me. On her name tag was her first initial and her last name and I was a little anxious to see if she was going to be up for the task as she told me it was just her second day on the job. I questioned her as she worked to remove the old battery, which I knew had been in the truck since Carvana delivered it to my driveway about 4 years back. I asked her what her first initial on her name tag was for and she, seemingly rather reluctantly replied, Shenandoah. I asked her how she learned about automotive repair and she answered from her dad and uncles. She reminded me of Mona Lisa Vito from the movie My Cousin Vinny. Shenandoah had the new battery installed in short order. I turned the key over and it cranked right up. She pointed out my old battery was "pregnant" and could have exploded at any time. She also recommended changing one of the corroded battery terminals because it would affect the performance of the new battery and eventually would fail. I agreed I should get a new terminal and she offered to change that for me too. After checking inventory, they were out of the part but she willingly called another store to have them confirm it was in stock, directed them to hold it for me and wrote down the address for me. In my opinion, this young woman was an impressive representative to her employer after only a day on the job. Kudos should go out to whoever hired her. I believe she will make a fine store manager one day if the company can keep her. She was courteous, knowledgeable, very helpful and definitely in the zone! read more

We've had a poor experience at other Auto Zones and were skeptical, but this place is different. In the future, we'll only go to this location for service. It was a busy Saturday and hotter than Hades. I show-up third in line, another woman in front of me is having a battery replacement too. I wait about 15 minutes because only one employee ringing up and another with battery changes. Eventually they call another employee from the back. She gets my stuff but then is waiting on Cart and tools so checks more people out. We go out to my car 30 minutes after I first entered. She takes the old battery out. Puts the new one in and there seems to be an issue. She starts walking away with the cart and says she'll back and might need another battery. I'm like should I follow you and pay or stay? She says I can do whatever, so I wait ten minutes since I can't lock my car due to no battery. I walk back in and she's checking out customers. After a few checkouts she acknowledges me and says she'll be with me in a minute. Then she continues to check out another five customers. I hear her tell the manager and he's like is this the one with the conundrum? At this point no communication has happened to me and I've been at the store for almost an hour. Then the manager and her don't know where the battery cart went so they are looking for that. Jimmy offers to help me when he sees me waiting, I tell him I've been here an hour and I don't know what's going but I'm here for a battery replacement. Jimmy finds the battery cart in the back. First employee to apologize to me and rings me up, he tries same battery again and shows me why it doesn't work. Goes back inside and back to the system to figure out what else they can do. Gets me another battery and gets manager to exchange. The manager after I'm rung up says it's busy Friday, Saturday, Sunday. No apology, while the initial female employee who was helping me out was ringing up customers, when there was a lull the manager was chatting with another employee, he should have helped problem solve or rung up customers. Jimmy did change out my battery correctly and again profusely apologized. I'm writing Jimmy's name because he is the only reason I gave two stars after it taking 90 minutes for a battery change. Managers never acknowledged me waiting even when they weren't helping customers. I watched over 20 customers check out in the time I was there. It just seemed like because the system was wrong and I wasn't an easy fix everyone who walked in the door got serviced before me. Honestly I was in a shitty situation once they took my battery out and couldn't go to another store. I wouldn't return unless Jimmy became a manager and could lead by example. I understand being busy on weekends and didn't intend to have to need a battery replacement. However, 90 minutes is what it took when my car battery needed a Tire removed to replace the battery in my Chrysler Sebring. It was just bad communication and every customer that walked in after me got helped. There was no one actively trying to solve my problem until I came back inside to remind them, that I was still waiting. Just horrible customer service overall. read more

This store is the worst autozone that I've been to. I know that you won't normally get an associate that is very knowledgeable at an auto parts store. But holy crap. These guys have terrible customer service, they don't listen, and they're CLUELESS. They can't keep any employees and they don't seem to hire anyone worth a sh*t. The line is always long. You'll waste 10-20 minutes in line to even get up to the counter to try explaining to them what it is what you need. In my case, all I wanted was to look through their gasket bin for an exhaust flange gasket that isn't an uncommon size. First of all, he thought the gasket I brought to match ( for a 3" pipe ) was a thermostat gasket. What? Then he said they can't match aftermarket exhausts because it's not vehicle specific. Then I said, I've done it by digging through their bin several times before. Instead of getting the bin, he gets a binder out and is looking for a gasket in the book. I could have found the gasket on my own in under 5 minutes. Instead of arguing to just let me dig through the bin as usual, I just left and I am now wasting more time driving down to the other end of Argyle to try getting a gasket from another store. Autozone needs to train their employees. Especially this one. read more

Every time.They'll be fully staffed and each employee will be having various conversations about people's car problems. And let a line build up and then not acknowledge the line or say "we'll be right with you!". I've watched people get tired of waiting and leave and I eventually do the same. At least have one employee for people to just make purchases. I don't want to stand and wait for never ending conversations. I'll not visit this location again read more

I've been going to this Auto Zone for 3 years, and have to say, I'm extremely happy with the service they provide. Went this morning and the supervisor was extremely helpful and professional, something hard to find these days. The supervisor explained every engine code that appeared on the fix-it diagnostic tool. Will continue to use as my go-to auto parts store. read more

Came here to get my car battery changed because i had a warranty. The employee was very antsy and seemed like he had too much for him to handle. As he was looking up my info he was cursing while speaking to me, it didn't bother me but i did look at him like what kind of professionalism is this. Then he apologized saying sorry to offend if i believed in jesus. Then they made me change my battery myself after i took off the covers like they asked. This place is pretty self explanatory! I give them 5 stars because they had parts for my German car that a competitor did not have. And if they didn't have it in store, they could have it in the store usually by next day. Also, coupons! They have coupons on Retail-Me-Not and they have a very nice rewards program. There was plenty of staff to help the many customers that were visiting. I did end up having to return an item, and it was not an issue at all. They were very kind. read more

I took my car battery to be recharged, left it for two hours, and it supposedly would not hold a charge. I then took it to Pep Boys, since the battery had a warranty, and miracle of miracles, it recharged just fine! Did the Auto Zone staff actually try to charge the battery? Did they just tell me that to try to sell me a battery? You be the judge... but Auto Zone has lost a customer! read more

Do not go here anytime past 6:30pm. I am giving a low score. The reason why is that I have been given bad customer service more than once at this place. I chose this place because it is close to my house. This one lady with black hair doesn't speak much English was very rude. I was doing a simple core charge return and she didn't even know how to type in the code and had a bad attitude. Its okay to ask for help but when you pretend to know things and then be demanding not okay. Luckly the other guy was professional. One time I ask can we look at my car to see if it matches the part and he said I'm not a mechanic and decline to help. Do only the managers know how to do things at that store? Customer service is challenging. There is a difference between defending the company for a mean customer but to be offensive because you don't want to work, then don't work. A picture of a receipt on my phone is just as valid as a paper one, however the worker declines. incompent read more
