Oil Changers

I had a hands-down 5 star expereince at Oil Changers today. I have been to this location before,…read morebut today's experience was outstanding. Two vehicles were in the bays and I was immediately greeted and welcomed by Jason. He offered me a bottle of cold water while I waited. It was less than a 10 minute wait, and then I met Derek, who also offered me a bottle of water while I waited. Derek went over the price and indicated they would make other recommendations, but there is no pressure to purchase anything outside of the oil change. I ended up purchasing two air filters, but felt no pressure from him to do so. Derek was very transparent and thorough in making me aware of the pricing change when I added the air filters. What I really enjoyed and what made them stand out to me more than any other visit, was not only the respect they showed me, but also the respect they showed each other as colleagues. There was constant respectful communication between the team, including the folks underground, and everyone had a clear understanding of thier role to ensure excellent and efficient customer service. While I was waiting, I was on the phone with a professional colleague and expressed to her during the call what excellent customer service I was receiving. I was back on the road in no time. I highly recommend Oil Changers on Pioneer in Woodland.

Long story. I bought a used car from a friend and I wanted to get the car checked out and make sure…read moreeverything was okay for service. I went to speedy Midas, oil change and tune up on Maine in Woodland and they told me that my rear brakes and rotors were shot and need to be replaced, so they gave me a report I have it in writing the front brakes and rotors were brand new 10 mm rear brakes shot. 3 mm rotors, glazed and grooved, so I purchased a rear brake replacement rotors, and brakes. Labor was 355 parts were 319. I paid a total of $700 a few months later, not even 2 months. My brakes started to squeak, so I went back to speedy because it breaks, we're still under warranty. And the guy there told me that the squeak was coming from the front brakes, and they were shot and needed to be replaced, needless to say, I'm not stupid. They told me they were good, like less than 60 days ago. And now they're telling me their shot need to be replaced another $700. So I went to another mechanic. Did I know and had him check it out? He told me that the rear brake replacements were really good. Good parts, no problem. The front brakes very new, very good. No problem, the squeaking sounds. We're coming from excessive breakdust over time and that they didn't need to be replaced, and so I bought an oil change and tire rotation and follow the recommendations of my friend mechanic, who is on Lincoln west Lincoln near the railies. His name's Isaac, great guy. Anyway, I won't be going back to speedy, because right now there's so many red flags. With that place, they seem so sketchy. It's not the first time had problems with what they said. And what they did, I would not recommend this place to anybody. I would suggest strongly that you'll find another mechanic. Another place to get your auto repairs done

Traveling north on I-505, just a few miles south of the junction with I-5, my wife's car broke down (steam was pouring thru the hood). We called AAA road service and within a reasonable period of time, we were attended to by a tow truck driver. He recommended that we have the vehicle towed to Precision Auto Care in Woodland (about 15-20 miles away). Not sure how the tow truck got there so quickly, but by the time we arrived, the car was already there and mechanics were beginning to evaluate the problem. We were greeted by a Service Advisor, Lorena Torres, who quickly gave us a best case/worst case scenario of the problem. She said they would have a better diagnostic analysis within the hour. We returned to the news that the worst case scenario had occurred. A cracked radiator led to damage to the cylinder head resulting in a partial rebuild of the engine. Long story short, it would take a week to 10 days to fully repair. We continued our trip to Oregon in one car then flew back to the Bay Area to await the completion of the repair. Throughout the 10 day repair, with periodic calls to Precision, were were kept fully aware of the progress of the repair by Lorena. And, as promised, it was completed in the quoted time and within the quoted price. Once the car was back in our possession and we were driving it regularly, the car functioned perfectly. We were delighted to realize that, with the new radiator, the heater worked better than before too. Something else, too, that no other auto repair shop has ever done for us...About a month after getting the car back, we received a call from Precision to inquire if everything was OK with the repair. We'll soon be living about 500 miles from Precision, so the chance that we'll ever use them again is pretty slim. Yet, they took the time to follow-up to determine our satisfaction. That is pretty rare in today's world. This last week, we attempted the trip to Oregon in this vehicle a second time. I am happy to report that it performed flawlessly. No one looks forward to a multi-thousand dollar car repair, but we justify it as being better than having months of new or used car payments, as we pride ourselves on taking really good care of our older automobiles. Thanks to businesses like Precision Auto Care for performing such a high standard of repair that we can continue to justify our preferred method of transportation.

I stopped at an Autozone to get the codes checked, and was told it looked like a camshaft sensor issue. Since I was literally on the road and needed to get moving again, I called around to some local repair shops and A1 Auto Repair was able to get me in quickly. This is where I really appreciated these guys. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation, but after looking at the car they determined that the sensor itself didn't actually need to be replaced. They cleaned and reinstalled the sensor and reset everything. I was back on the road in a little over an hour.Since they felt they hadn't really done anything significant mechanically, they even reduced the bill from $160 to $80. What really impressed me was what happened afterward. They called me the next day to make sure the car was still running properly. Then after I had made the entire trip home, they actually called again a few days later just to make sure everything was still good. I honestly can't remember the last time a mechanic followed up with me like that. It's one thing to fix a car, it's another thing to actually care whether the customer made it home safely. A1 Auto Repair was honest, affordable, quick, and genuinely customer focused. I'm really grateful they were the shop I happened to call that day. Five stars from me, and I'd absolutely recommend these guys.
