I've always had good experiences here, specifically with changing my atm pin and withdrawing money. I like that you can get small bills versus $20+ from an atm. Service was friendly and efficient and I haven't had any issues here. I recommend banking with a credit union!

Desert Financial treated me like a mobster would treat someone who owes them money…read more I owe roughly $2,000, and I understand that I am responsible for the debt. But I already gave Desert Financial $997 -- essentially my entire Social Security check -- toward what I owed them. Despite that, they reported me to ChexSystems, and now I'm having a very difficult time opening a checking account anywhere else. This is what makes me extremely angry. I'm not saying I don't owe the money. I'm saying there should be a reasonable and humane way to resolve a $2,000 debt without making it difficult for someone to access basic banking services. The way Desert Financial handled this feels less like a credit union working with a member and more like mobsters collecting a debt: pay us, or we'll make your financial life miserable. I will remember this experience for a very long time, and I hope other people think carefully about how this credit union handles members when they fall behind. $2,000 does not justify treating a person like a criminal. This location and Chase in general is a mixed bag whether good service is provided. I have had…read moreissues in the past with this location many years ago but none of the same people seem to be there. You are always greeted with a hello when you walk in promptly which is a nice touch of customer service. I was also given a bottle of water another nice touch unexpectedly as we are experiencing a lot of heat in the valley. I came to notorize a document and waited longer than I should have to accomplish such a simple task but "Alex Guzman" needs a shout out as he was tremendous when he did greet me with a smile and an extremely helpful attitude. Next I wanted to wire some money and he was very knowledgeable to discuss the pros and cons of such a transaction. Alex next provided some options about other accounts but was never pushy or salesy that can be annoying. Alex's job title is "Relationship Banker" and he understands the customer relationship better than most. By the time we were finished it was past closing time which I had not realized and he didn't rush me out the door either. Card attached is for Alex- this employee who was on the younger side has a bright future because he understands the Lifetime Value of a Customer and the relationship. On another note (not relevant to Chase but a bit funny), a snobby customer from Scottsdale driving a very expensive car who forgot his phone on one of the chairs which I turned into Chase, couldn't even be bothered to thank me- other than to tell me he had two phones- although I must confess Chase did a good job getting his identity if the phone belonged to him & he called Siri to identify it. 5 Star taken down to 4 Star due to prior handlings but Alex is what customer service should be about.
