I've brought my vehicles here multiple times, but this last experience changed that. Before leaving my truck for a 4WD diagnostic, I specifically asked two employees at the front desk if the diagnostic fee would be waived if I chose to move forward with the repairs. They both told me yes. When I later reviewed the recommended work and tried to accept it, the diagnostic fee was still being charged. I called to clarify and was told they do not waive that fee. As I was on my way to pick up my truck, I then received a message saying they would waive it this time, but that it's not their standard practice. That completely contradicts what I was told upfront. I relied on that information when making my decision, and it turned out not to be accurate. Because of that, I chose to pick up my truck and not move forward with the work. I won't be returning or recommending this place. Still give them a 2 because they used to be honest. read more

My rear window on my Hummer got smashed out at the car wash and I was given directions to the old Safelite location at Main Street. Rafael stepped up when I explained I was looking for a emergency "crash wrap" to protect from the weather, he gladly taped up the rear window with plastic and didn't even charge for his time or materials. Had a serpentine belt snap last week on a Thursday night and I called them in the morning and they told me to bring it in. Had the vehicle towed in and was given a call within an hour going over what would be needed. Got the belt and front sealed replaced within 6 hours and was able to pickup same day. Update to previous review: After not doing my alignment, and quoting me a 30% markup on "necessary" parts, I ended up going to the GMC dealer for an alignment for $50 more. The dealer confirmed that all currently installed parts were still good(car has 95k miles), I didn't need anything replaced, and they completed my alignment in an hour. I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else. Not only are they likely to not complete your service, or tell you if there's a problem, but they have no problem telling you to buy thousands in parts that you don't need. Run the other direction. read more

Nick and his team did a great job on a bizarrely difficult job. Normally I do my own auto repairs, but this time it was my son's car and I just didn't have the time, so we contacted Auto Tech Plaza to get a starter replaced. Nick quoted a fair price, so my son dropped the car off. As it turns out, I'm glad I didn't attempt the repair myself because the first four starters they installed all turned out to be defective! Nick persisted to find one that worked, keeping us informed all the way, and even providing my son a ride in the cold weather. I really appreciate that he's a straight-talker and that he really tried the best he could to keep the price down, in particular avoiding the easy option of getting a new starter from the dealer (which would have cost way more). Despite all the labor involved, he didn't charge extra and in fact offered to return the car and just charge the $70 inspection fee if we wanted to go somewhere else. It's hard to find a repair shop that's honest, fair, and concerned about the customer; I'd recommend Auto Tech Plaza to anyone after this experience. read more

On the fence about this company. I only went here because it was supposed to be AAA approved and was towed here. Everything was fine....... AT FIRST. Soon started being given the run around. A week for repair turned into A MONTH. Ended up costing over $4000. What should have been a tie rod ended up having me get my entire front end replaced. Ultimately, my insurance paid but there was definitely some issues after I was quoted the wrong price. Different check were written/exchange and was given push back on multiple occasions when my husband and I tried to fix or communicate about the issue. Car was/is still not up to par. I feel like there was a lot of blame game played as to who now needs to fix it and what took so long for the car to be fixed. (They did, however, offer to "take a look at it" at no cost....over a month later after I PREVIOUSLY called [multiple times]and mentioned it.) Something I really want to make sure I acknowledge is the customer service. I didn't care much for it unless the service came from Robert B! He was great! He was the only one that would call me with updates (even if there wasn't an update), and just to apologize for the inconvenience. When I didn't have a ride to pick the car up, Robert actually came and picked me up himself! He was very kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. If it wasn't for him, I would honestly give a lower rating. read more

I took my car in to get an oil change and an alignment. I had purchased a Groupon for the oil change. An hour after dropping my car off for service I received a call saying that if they took my oil filter cap off, it would break. And a new part would cost 83$. I told them to leave it alone an I would have somebody else do it. My roommate removed the cap in less than 2 seconds and replaced the filter without any issues. I first took my Jeep to have new tires installed and balanced. They were quick and did a great job. Nice guys over the phone and in person. Ended up going back to them when my Jeep wouldn't start. They were able to start the Jeep up and told me that they wouldn't charge me anything since they didn't physically do a diagnostic, but they did mention that I had a gas leak. So I went ahead and went forth with that resolved. They also noticed a few other things, but they didn't try and pressure me into getting them fixed, which is something I like about a shop. I took my truck in for an alignment. They said they couldn't do it because of an issue with the truck then they charged me $42.50 just to look at it and diagnose it...... and I didn't ask them to diagnose it. Tried to sell us a line that a certain part would cost $500 or more to replace. Telling us is the old part couldn't be fixed which was a lie. It was a $25 part to fix the other . Never going back. So the Yelp Coupon was for 15% off my first visit. Well somehow they calculated 15% to be equal to 10% off labor + 5% off parts. How does that equal 15%?!?!? For simplicity sake let's say each are $100, now that's $100(labor) + $100(parts) = $200 15% of that would be $30. Instead at Auto Tech Plaza it's $15...that's right, the eternal laws of mathematics that have been proven countless times by great men throughout history don't apply at this little corner of Colorado. It should truly become a Mecca for the great minds of the age to witness this unique and dumbfounding phenomenon. Despite that they did take an entire day longer than they forecasted, which of course caused its own difficulty. The work seems to have been satisfactory, and the people were pleasant. During the diagnosis phase they went above and beyond checking some other issues I was concerned about. Prior to fixing my vehicle, they told me what was wrong, how long to fix, and how much it would costs. They finished earlier than expected and adjusted their bill according. OMG. An honest mechanic business. I've never seen one before. All those other places want is your money. They don't care if they fix the vehicle. Plus try hard to sell you things that don't need replaced at this time. I'm a mechanic myself and know when I'm being ripped off. Now at age 69 I'm getting too old to work on my own vehicles. My family and I have been taking our cars here for many years. I believe a couple of the mechanics here remember who we are lol! They provide quality service to your vehicles and are very informational. Customer service here is superb! They get back to you right away and are all very friendly people. One of my favorite things that they do here is that if there's something wrong with your car, they'll take you into their garage so they can show you what's going on, where it's located, etc. I've learned quite a bit just by bringing my car in here. There's a guy here called Roger and he's great to work with! Very friendly employee and gives great advice. The lobby isn't too bad to wait in either. They have free wi-fi so you can watch Netflix on your phone while you're waiting and complimentary water. I was just in there yesterday and they had free cookies to snack on! Auto Tech has a shuttle service to pick you up from your house and drop you off at their place. Prices are decent and I'd say they're a great value. Auto Tech has coupons from time to time on Val Pak, they do military discount and I've found an Auto Tech coupon on the back of my Mesa Ridge Parkway Safeway receipt.
