The Grosbeier driver was nice, and worked hard to get him out & up on the road. he knew what he was doing for sure. we appreciate his help in an otherwise stressful situation. This was Tuesday March 17, 2026 the first day my son went back to work after the 3-day blizzard with record snowfall. I think 33 inches or something like that. The driver must have been exhausted, but he was top notch. I highly recommend them. the price was a good value too.

They were great. Renea (maybe spelt wrong) was wonderful. Checked out the problem within 10 minutes fixed it and sent me back to Chicago with a full report for my dealer to view. This place takes care of their customers. I cannot say enough how great they were. I still need to get into my dealer in Chicago. They think they can fit me in next month.

Called and made appointment because was leaking fluid on passenger front side of my 2005 silverado…read more Noticed large wet area in driveway. Explained to Jim it looked like it was leaking from front axel passenger side... maybe a seal. Brought the truck in to appointment 2 weeks later. Got back home from the appointment.. noticed a big wet spot under passenger front side again. Looked under it and fluid still hanging and dripping off the axel , same spot as last time. Called Jim back like wtf. Get told they replaced the rear pinion seal! I got charged $150 to replace a seal I had replaced 2 yrs ago that wasn't even leaking! On top of that I get told... they wondered why I was replacing the seal when it was leaking from the transmission line above the front axel passenger side! Seriously? I tell them I thought it was a seal on the axel passenger side (I'm not the mechanic) and they replace the pinion seal no where near the passenger front side , noticed what was leaking and didn't say hey... this is what's leaking and needs to be fixed! Nope they just replaced and charged me for something that didn't need to be replaced and then want me to make another appointment 2 weeks out to fix what should have been fixed in the first place! NO THANK YOU! YOU ALREADY ROBBED ME OF $150

help me get the word out there that Al's transmission and Auto in Manitowoc Wisconsin is not a safe…read moreor reputable business to take your vehicle for repairs or servicing me and Marissa took our vehicle there as a referral from another auto shop that doesn't work on transmissions Al's transmission did not follow the proper steps they were supposed to send an estimate to the insurance company and get authorization to do work on the transmission instead they just went ahead worked on the transmission and then tried billing the insurance company and the insurance company said they weren't paying because they didn't authorize then they tried billing us for the work which we did not authorize we are now currently in the process of suing them for the vehicle and the unauthorized repairs and since the court case is now going they have went and placed a mechanics lien to take the vehicle and sell it instead of just owning up to their screw up given the vehicle back or waiting for the court case to be finished me being the nice guy that I am before all this started I tried working out a deal with else transmission Craig Lisa you name them and they refused I didn't want to see a shop get screwed over their money because they didn't follow the proper steps when they fixed our truck but they shot us down every step of the way that we tried finding some middle ground with them I can't emphasize this enough do not trust ales transmission and auto with your vehicle. On a side note Marissa doesn't know that I'm making this post at this time but to be honest I'm rather pissed
