Worst experience I have ever had with any sort of repair service. Brought my bike in for repair…read moreunder the recommendation of another mechanic, younger guy who obviously thought the world of this guy. Well, two years later I finally got my bike back. I didn't hound him, I gave him time, which I thought would be the right thing to do. Well that obviously didn't work. The whole time never got a call or an update. Finally went in to get my bike and he had it running decent. His excuse for the time delay was the part he needed was unattainable ? Anyways I let it go seeing as how my bike was a little on the rarer side and I was finally happy to have the damn thing back. My major mistake was bringing it back for more work. After bringing it in for tuning, he returned it with scratches on my new paint in the front fender and a quarter sized dent in my brand new header pipe. I brought this up to him and he just shut me out. Wouldn't answer calls just denied it. Unbelievable. And worst than that, during the two year debacle I trusted that he would return the bike to me in safe driving order which is what I was most concerned about ! I asked him to check the tires which he said " well I'm staring at brand new tires and they look good to go ! " I trusted him. After his encouragement of "I think you should drive it a lot to get the juices flowin and work out the bugs !" And a full summer of riding I noticed the tires felt hard and slick when I braked and cornered. These tires did indeed look new, but they were not. The manufacturer date was 15 years prior. He never even looked at the date. Which is what I asked him to do. Never take someone's word for it when it comes to your safety. Lesson learned. Beware when dealing with this guy. He cost me a lot of money time, damaged my bike and denied everything. And most of all I trusted him with the safety aspect. Just horrible experience all around.

I have been to a lot of Harley shops ever since I owned my first Harley in 1992. I am loyal to a…read morebusiness that treats me right when I spend money. This dealership is big inside. All of the staff from Clothing, Sales, Parts, and service are absolutely kind-professional- and helpful. I have got 2 bikes fr this store. Please allow me to explain. See I came home from war in 2010 and was told I would never for sure run again, and possibly ever walk again let alone walk normal and without a cane. Well after surgery and a lot of help from doctors I can walk. I have my good and bad days. But I sold my 2010 in 2014. I could not ride a new toy I got after the war. Well after all the treatments and help, I thought I would give it a try and got a bike. It was the perfect fit for my needs at that time. I traded that one off and got a new one. You know, something more for the long rides. I used the same sales person both times. Look I have back issues and issues with my legs. So I can't ride forever like I could in the good old days when my body wasn't all messed up. But I love my bike and what little I can ride, I feel alive again. This store made it happen. This store has cool sales and treats customer's great. They have bands some times in the summer, corn roasts and sloppy Joes. Beers and soda. You name it. There is always something happening. If u like to ride, get on their email list so u know when cool stuff is going down. For example: this coming Saturday is their St Patrick sale. 15% off select stuff. First 200 people get a chance at a price of gift card. You get the idea. As stated, I am a veteran. Any parts of clothing that is not on sale, show your gov issued ID, VA card or you military ID and this store will give you 10% off. Also for every buck you spend you earn points for money. The points don't expire. So say you store your baby over the winter with their storage program and put some money into your bike...you will have a little money sitting on record that u can use to get that new part, or clothing item u had your eye on. I have met the owner of this store when I traded off my first bike and got the second one. It was a busy time of year but that was a nice personal touch. If my health needs change and I have to go to a trike, u know where I will buy it from. If you go to Vandervest Harley to get a new or used bike, u will not regret it. Until the next Yelp, Yelp-Steve-O, out! I will update this Yelp in the next week to show u more pics of the store.
