Alex is very honest and fair, which is very hard to find. Most of the time, I don't even ask for a quote. I just drop the vehicle off, tell him the issue, and call me when finished. He is not there to up charge or charge for unneeded repairs. In fact, I have been told I needed costly repairs from other shops. He would look into it. Alex saved me from getting ripped off by the Firestone in Buena Park. My A/C was busted, and Firestone said I needed to replace my compressor, condenser, and recharge the system and quoted me $1600. I've been to a lot of auto shops, but Alex's shop is by far one of the best ones I've experienced. This is a small shop owned by Alex, which I love. Alex is extremely experienced and each mechanic that works for him has been handpicked by Alex for their expertise. With other shops, I've experienced subpar mechanics other than the owner so have gotten inconsistent service. Alex is extremely fair in his pricing and won't try to shaft you on what actually needs to be done with your car... if anything I have to ask him to look at extra stuff, just so he'll take more of my money (LOL). I have an old 2005 Honda Civic, so every little noise it makes and every 50K miles it does, I bring it by Alex first for assessment and maintenance. I swear my car knows when I'm bringing it to Alex because all the noises stop as soon as I get to his shop. Alex takes credit card, which is a plus compared to other Vietnamese auto shops in the area. I recommend making an appointment with him first (at least 2-3 days in advance) and arranging a ride while your car is in his shop, or you can hang out and watch TV, have complimentary water while you wait, and talk to the guys while they work on cars. And lastly, Alex doesn't usually do oil changes, so don't come here expecting it to be done! read more
