Pay attention to how he responds to negative reviews- he is defensive and blames the customer despite the photo evidence that his work is unacceptable. There's another review on a major platform describing the same experience as my own, so this is not an outlier It's how he operates. I booked this detailing service as a gift for my daughter. She was given her dad's car (2016 Honda Pilot), which had been sitting for about a year. It was messy from crumbs he had left and let sit, but there were no major stains or anything egregious. I was so excited for the transformation that I even took "before" pictures to show her dad since it's technically his car (I also didn't want to be blamed for any scratches or wear/tear that already existed). Unfortunately, the entire experience was a disaster from start to finish. When I first reached out, John quoted me $200 (his website says $189 for an SUV by the way- red flag #1). I should have realized something was off when he had next-day availability on a Saturday--that was red flag number two. Red flag number three came when I arrived to drop off the car: he suddenly announced it was a "cash only" transaction and bumped the price up to $265, claiming the car was "very dirty." Since he increased the price right then and there upon seeing the car, it made me think that the extra money was exactly what was needed to get the car properly cleaned. When it was time to pick up the car, he took my cash (I gave him $305 total, including a tip I had prepared with the payment in good faith) and left immediately (the place was closed) meaning we didn't even get to inspect the vehicle with him. My daughter saw the shiny leather and got excited. But once we properly looked inside, I was angry. It honestly looked like they just drove it through a standard car wash with interior vacuum/wipe down (a $50 service by the way) and called it a day. The steering wheel and stick shift were completely untouched and heavily soiled. Leaving those dirty is like cleaning a bathroom and skipping the toilet! The dashboard and air vents were dusty as hell. The seats were left feeling greasy. The touch screen and entire console had swirl marks All over them and residue. The exterior was also covered in swirl marks/ didn't look polished at all. No evidence of the "6 month sealant" he boasts on the website. He specifically promised he would polish the faded headlights, but they look absolutely no different. We actually had to stay parked by the building and clean the car ourselves just to make it acceptable before we left. I stopped taking pictures after a while of cleaning because my daughter was getting frustrated and just wanted to leave, so the photos I sent him didn't even capture everything that was left dirty. When I confronted him about the terrible job, not only did he not apologize, but he actually blamed me for what the car looked like when I dropped it off! As you can see in the before pictures, it was nothing crazy. Yes, it was dirty, but that's literally what paying for a detail is for. If he needed more time or more money to do the job right, it is his job as a business owner to communicate that to the customer. He keeps saying he is 38 years in business but that's not a flex if you haven't figured out yet how to clean a car properly. The fact that he thinks this is an acceptable result for anybody paying $305 is unbelievable. He refused to give me a partial refund (I asked for $150, leaving him with $155 which is way more than I would ever pay for this service- a regular car wash deep clean would do a better job for $50) and he wouldn't even refund the tip. He offered to have me bring it back in, but I absolutely did not trust them with the car again and didnt want to waste another day with his shop. Save your time, your money, and your peace of mind. Go somewhere else. read more

Tex, the owner, is a wonderful guy. Down to earth and hard working. He takes pride in his work; does the detailing himself. My truck was covered in mud inside and out. It looks amazing; better than when I first bought it. I would highly recommend this place. Don't bother going to a car wash that says they do "detailing".... they don't do the same quality of work as a real auto detailing place. John and his crew came in considerably lower than some of the other places I called. He was very responsive even when he was closed on Monday and was able to fit me in during the same week. He didn't fumble with the pricing and when he did have to tack on something extra he made sure I was ok before proceeding. My SUV is super slick like real slick with all the wax he put on it so I am real satisfied. Now I will be avoiding puddles and sprinklers for at least a week to keep the shine on. read more

SO here's the backstory, I'm a gay man (there's a reason why I'm saying this, keep reading), and I live out in the Midwest. I'm here in NJ visiting my boyfriend and his family here in Bergen County, NJ. I drove out here and my car was a TOTAL mess from the drive over. This was the first time I was meeting with my boyfriend's family so I didn't want any bad first impressions. SO I found this place called Auto "Masseuse" and I dropped off my car with the owner "Tex" (first red flag). Tex seemed like a very nice guy at first, I told him I needed my car to get a full detail and needed it to look nice. He told me my car would be ready in about two hours, which I thought was weird because the place was completely dead and empty (second red flag), but I was desperate and my boyfriend's family lived like 20 mins away driving-wise so I didn't want to go anywhere else, and the price he gave me wasn't too bad. So I dropped the car off with him. I decided to grab something to eat, since the place was in the middle of nowhere I walked a few miles to some pizzeria. I hung out there for a while, I kept calling Tex but no one picked up. So I walked a few miles and got back and I thought it was very peculiar when I saw him, a few hours ago he was wearing a hat with some fishing bass or whatever, and now when I get back and returned he was wearing one of those Make America Great Again Trump hats (third red flag). It is what it is I see a lot of that back home but I notice barely anything was done to my car and the place was DEAD! So now I'm a little pissed and confused, I wait there for a little over an hour, and BOY when he told me my car was finished and it's now $120 because the car was "filthy" and took him longer than expected I was like hell naw. I tell him I don't think this "full detail" is worth the original $100. I show him that my car was still full of watermarks and smudges all over. Uh TOTAL absolute amateur hour at Auto "Masseuse". I then tells him I don't like the work and I'll give him $50 for his time and effort. Like dead ass, I could've got a better job going to the million standard carwash places I drove by. SO this is when things get craaazyyyy! Immediately!!! "Tex"'s face got redder than that silly ass MAGA hat he put on to probably spite me and started calling me a n****r f****t (yea surprise I'm black too) and told me it's $120. I told him I refuse to give any money to a racist homophobe, and he then said if you don't like my work go have one of your Black Lives Matter n****r f****ts clean your car. For a second there I was SO confused so it all clicked, and I think I triggered this hateful man by having a BLM and Trans Lives Matter sticker on the back of my car.
