Because the price of gas is through the roof I opted to trade in my gas vehicle for an EV and was treated extremely well by Marie, Janeth, Jonathan, and the Manager who also is a recent transplant. I recommend Ocean's Honda for all of your Honda needs!

From the moment I sat down with Isaiah Figueroa, that all changed. He listened to my whole frustrating saga without getting defensive, and instead of brushing off my concerns, he made a point of telling me he was there to support me, not just process a work order. That one sentence completely shifted the tone of the visit. He explained what was likely going on with the battery, walked me through the diagnostic process, and kept me updated rather than leaving me guessing. It's rare to walk into a service department upset and walk out feeling genuinely taken care of, but that's exactly what happened. Isaiah Figueroa turned what could have been an awful experience into one where I actually trust the people working on my car. If you're bringing your Honda in for service, ask for him -- he treats people, not just vehicles. --- Just drop in his actual name and you're good to go. Want me to adjust the tone (shorter, more casual, more detail about the battery issue) or tailor it for a specific platform like Google or Yelp?

I'm so grateful to find this dealership. I had been doing a long drive up to Santa Barbara to get…read moremy Fiat worked on, and since I have two Fiats I thought I need to find a closer place that works on Fiats. Well, I found this place, and they fixed my Fiat at no cost since it's still very new and under warranty, but the best part is that I felt like I was treated very well. I had only all good interactions with everyone there. My first experience was the sales guys who wanted to buy my car, told me they were looking to purchase a car like mine that's relatively new with under 16K miles. Lightly used, looks amazing, but I couldn't bite the deal, since I had paid cash for my car, and had no payments, so any deal they could come up with, and some were pretty sweet deals, just weren't enough to sway me into getting into another $400 a month lease or purchase. But, they were exceptionally nice, and didn't push too hard, even though when they brought out that brand new Jeep, I kinda drooled a little. Haha The girls in the office were all so nice to me and we had great conversations. They were amazing. I'm that kind of customer that loves to interact, so when I approached them and asked them how come they weren't mechanics, their response made me smile and shake my head. I loved it though, they said what young girls say "We're too beautiful to be mechanics." That's when I busted out photos of my exceptionally beautiful daughter who worked as an Aircraft mechanic at age 22 making over $40 per hour. I was like "Girls, you're never too beautiful to get paid a lot of money as a mechanic." I then encouraged them to pursue anything they desire. I hope one day to run into one of them again. The guy I interacted with there at the dealership was Rick. I am thrilled to say that he was an amazing person to meet and work with. He was so kind about my car, and reassured me that the only major problem was that my battery needed to be replaced. And, to top it off it was all covered under the warranty. Also, they worked on the recall and that too was covered. He informed me that the only thing they couldn't do was the car wash, that was okay though because he told me if I take my receipt showing my car was worked on over to the gas station off of Victoria and Valentine road that I'd get a complementary car was from that gas station there. That was so nice to hear! Rick was very personable. I was so worried because I had bad experiences at the dealership in Santa Barbara. I read all these reviews here and thought wow, people really didn't give that great of reviews. I wanted to be fully honest about my experience, and give details so that I didn't miss anything. Oh! The mechanics accidentally left a really nice portable battery charger in the back of my car. Rick called me to ask if it was there and I got his voice mail, so I called him back and let him know it was. They're going to arrange to come to me to pick it up, rather than me having to take time off to go back to the dealership. That was amazing to me too. Overall, my experience here has made me feel that I can trust them, and that they're all wonderful people, managers, sales staff and the whole team, I had nothing but the best experience. So good that I would definitely consider buying my first Jeep from them. It's a future purchase I am sure. I like fun cars. This is why I own two silly little Fiats. They're cute, they're quirky, and fun. The only drawback to owning a Fiat, is being able to find people to work on them. So, if you have a Fiat, please take it here. Don't waste your time going to Santa Barbara, if you don't want to do that drive. I'm not really trying to talk bad about Santa Barbara's Crown Dodge, to be fair, I keep trying to love them, I really do, because I want a good relationship with whoever works on my car... I truly do. I like when companies make you feel like family. Shameless plug: Williams Automotive in Ventura is absolutely the best but he doesn't work on Fiats - Dang it! Please don't take my post down... honestly you gotta love a good local honest mechanic like Scott at Williams. But this dealership is legit, hell of a lot better than most dealerships I have been to when it comes to customer service. And, they work on Fiats, so there's that too. I'm telling all my friends who own Fiats to stop driving to Santa Monica and Santa Barbara. And, the Thousand Oaks dealership stopped working on Fiats, which to me breaks my heart they were so so so good there too. Anyways, yeah, enough about Fiats. This team is great. And, EXTRA KUDOS to Rick, and the girls at the front desk, wish I could remember their names, they're beautiful inside and out! They even told me I was beautiful... which was so dang kind. That brightened my day! P.S. Go check out the painting on the wall there of under the Ventura Pier, it's pretty beautiful! I think they said it was a giant sticker but it looks like a painting to me. It's great!

Over six weeks, I visited 4 different Subaru dealerships to test drive cars and talk numbers. And I spoke with 2 more by phone and email around LA. I compared everything. Rick stood out immediately: straightforward, fair, patient, and genuinely kind. He got me a great deal, took real time to help me set up the car, and answered every question without pressure. I had plenty of frustrating experiences at 4 other subaru dealerships--price games, surprise add-on prices from the sticker price, wasted trips, and uncomfortable pressure tactics. Working with Rick was the complete opposite. Honest, respectful, and easy from start to finish. If anyone I know ever wants a Subaru, I can now say, "I have a guy I trust!" Thank you, Rick-you deserve a raise!

That said, my car buying experience couldn't be improved on. We bought a used Certified (by the maker) Subaru sight unseen. The price was so good I thought there must be a catch. But quite the contrary--the vehicle, a '24 with 16K miles, looked 100% new, and the drive to our home confirmed it. And of course it included the 2nd key fob (otherwise a $400+ experience) and owner's manual. Val, the finance manager, persuaded us to get an extended warranty from Subaru. I'm not saying you should, but at least Subaru has a stake in treating me fairly, unlike the independent extended warranty providers, who have a reputation for making it as difficult as possible to get the service you paid for. I did almost the entire transaction by phone and email, trusting the Subaru Certified used vehicle program, and it saved my spouse and me several hours at the dealership. Within the scope of my experience with Kirby I'd recommend them highly.
