Now, when I called around to replace again, Safelite gave me a quote that was substantially cheaper, but I would have to wait a couple weeks to schedule... OK, I'd be willing to wait for the price difference; however, two days before the 2-week scheduled date, Safelite decided to up the price (because of OEM required glass, which they should have known from day 1), they decide they cannot hold their estimate. Basically, I waited 2-weeks (my time & money) to spend the same as the quotes provided from a local supplier.

I will say that Mobil One is expensive, but if you have money to spare they are worth it. Installed a stereo and subs for me and I brought it back twice, not with issues but simply things I wasn't happy with. They immediately took my car in and fixed my issues without any problem and made my cars sound awesome. Think of the price as insurance.

It isn't that I believe I am a celebrity and need to hide form the public. But tinted windows make your car look and feel cooler. Since I need all the help I can get when it comes to looking and staying cool, I made the decision to tint my windows. Northshore was super easy to get an appointment. I called, set it up for the next day, and was texted a confirmation. On the day of my appointment I arrived and they immediately went to work. They are a husband and wife team. The husband does the tint and the wife runs the office. Both are super personable and enjoyable to talk with. He does great work installing quality tint and she does a great job of explaining the process and making you feel comfortable. Over the past couple of months I have gotten the front windows of my personal vehicle tinted to match the factory tint. On this job they did a perfect match and it was super fast. I also got all of the windows of my work car tinted which completely changed the look of it. I can't say enough good things about their work. Seriously, I couldn't be more happy. I would upload photos of the tint job but then you would know what I drive. Just picture something cool with perfectly tinted windows.

Not into giving bad reviews, but now that the weather's getting hot again I really wish Paul Porch…read more (owner, tech, etc) had given better service. The tint I got is way lighter than what he replaced, and working out the details with him was such a pain that arguing over the work he did isn't worth it. His office gal (Stephanie, I think) was real nice so she gets the star, but that doesn't really help me now. Here's the break down if you're interested: Dropped the car off an got a quote of $325 to remove tint & re-tint all the windows. The front windows had to be a bit lighter to pass inspection but the rear windows & hatch glass could be as dark as they were, about as dark as they get (not sure the %). Paul, who I never met, calls & says it's an extra $25 because he'd have to prop up the hatch, since the gas shocks were busted. No prob, I pick up the car and go buy & install new shocks & drop it off next day. Then he calls and says the old tint is de-laminated so he'll have to scrape it off which will add $25 to the job & will probably take off the rear defroster. No prob, go ahead with the work. On both of these calls his attitude really sucked. Never did he ask if I wanted the same shade of tint as before, nothing like that. Maybe Stephanie didn't tell him that I wanted the same tint on the rear of the car, but good service includes attention to detail. So I pick up the car and am dismayed to find that the tint is not right, but then it occurs to me, this is just a pain in the ass to Paul. Two shades of tint on the same car? Dream on! If you have some high-end luxury/sports car he'll probably kiss your ass, but don't bring in your modest economy car & have him be pleased to take your money, even if you pay in cash. [I priced out this place & a place called GT Tint in Mandeville. They use a 3M film whereas Pro-tek uses Sun Gard (I think). Prices were comparable & both films have similar warranties. I used Pro-tek b/c they are close to my house & work, but would not again]
