We made a reservation in March and changed the principal driver before we left, and they sent us the invoice showing the voucher # was the same as the one on my original booking. But the principal driver's name had been changed. When we picked up the car in Rome, Italy, on June 1 at Eurocar, they said we didn't have the all-inclusive insurance even when I showed them my paperwork. Rather than fighting the charges, we agreed with them. When the car was turned in on June 15th, we were billed the entire rental charge again that had been paid in March. I have submitted all the documents and CC charges to Auto Europe and have not heard back from them. And i'm unable to speak to a rep to help sort this out. I have sent numerous emails with the promise that a rep would get in touch. It's been over six weeks, and I don't know where to turn. We have used and recommended AutoEurope for years, but this is a huge black eye on their customer service. read more

I have been taking my car to Auto Europe for years and they do an incredible job. Drew is the "Water Cooled" Porsche engine whisperer! He communicates very well and answers very detailed questions. I have found that the my car is maintained and repaired professionally, although I am not charged for maintenance that is not needed based on my driving habits. In other words, parts like air and cabin filters are inspected and only replaced if necessary. Coming very a very detailed car aficionado, I give Auto Europe and Drew my highest recommendation. My check engine light (CEL) would not go off on my 2010 BMW 528i. After trying a few other shops and a few things myself, I just needed to get the problem fixed. A neighbor recommended the Auto Europe facility and they quickly diagnosed the issue, fixed another problem as requested, returned the car to me sooner than expected, and at a price slightly lower than quoted. When the CEL came back on a few days later, a reset of the car's computer seems to have addressed the issue for good when the adaptive learning didn't address it as designed. I took my car in a few days ago because it had an issue that was causing it to not start periodically. Was easy to get an appointment on the phone, and when I brought it in the gentleman I spoke to was very polite and informative. They had my car for a few hours and called me when it was ready. They ran some tests on my car and everything came back as normal, so didn't really figure out what is wrong with it. But they still gave me some tips and replaced the battery in my key to see if that would fix it. I also was not charged (not sure if that is standard or because they couldnt figure out what was going on with the car) Overall I definitely like this spot, and will be back in the future if I ever have issues. read more

He did a great job on the old 560SL and is even willing to work on the newer S classes and will bill after-market warranty companies. Although I will take my car up the street to Buckhead Mercedes for major issues, Martin is the only person I really trust to change my oil, do my brakes and actually tell me what is going on with my car. Jack has a great following of BMW owners; Martin's real speciality is Porsche's and he about has me convinced to pick one up. This place has treated me well so far -- got an Inspection B here for my 2004, 325i. Also got my A/C checked out just a few days ago, and will bring it back here for a follow up. So far, the service has been professional, and they do a good job of getting the car back to me quickly. When it comes to BMWs there is no better place in Atlanta-metro and that's why sometimes we all couldn't get our cars in the day we want... No question that I trust Jack-"it would fail eventually" (with silent - but why would you want to change it now?) or Norman (with his nordic... Auto Europe Is: - An honest place, with straight-up guys that do quality work at reasonable prices. - A busy place, you may need to wait a few days before they can get to your car. This is a good sign people. - Serious about keeping costs down...which is also a good thing. They've brought several things to my attention only to say that it's not critical and that they would wait and see if it get's worse if it was their car. Those are my type of guys. Auto Europe Is Not: - A sugar-coated, hand-holding, smile real big and treat you like a princess place so you feel better about them taking twice as much as they should to fix your car. Seriously, if you really, really DEMAND the best customer service in town this probably isn't the place. If you want coffee and warm danish while you wait for your car, you're in the wrong place. If you know nothing about cars (if you tend to come in and just say "I don't know, it's just acting funny...fix it!") then this place is probably not for you. Long story short, I wouldn't send my girlfriend here on her own...it would be frustrating for her and the guys at the front desk. This being said, I'm not a car expert by any metric...but I at least help them narrow the problem down before I drop the car off and it's been great. - There to 'shoot the shi*' with you about your car. They're busy...do your business and carry on. All in all I think Auto Europe is a great resource for the german car enthusiast that may not have the money to hit the dealer every time something goes wrong. I had a number of warning lights go off and decided to also have them look at the lock on my passenger side door that wasn't working while I was there. Not only did they tell me that it was just a problem with indicators from my last oil change (meaning no problems), they also asked me to check about my warranty for the problem with my door. Turns out I was still covered and they saved me from my own stupidity! Never have had a place be so customer-focused. I was ripe to be taken advantage of, but they really helped. I can not say enough good things about Auto Europe, all of the mechanics there are personable as well as knowledgeable! Today I dropped by unannounced, the head rests on the back seats popped up when I hit a bump real hard and my view out the back was partially obstructed. Martinez worked on it for over an hour in the blazing heat... Long after I told him I would just take it back to the dealer.... He insisted that he should be able to get them back in place manually. He just would not give up, even though his lunch was getting cold. While I was there he gave another customer the keys to his car, because the customer's window broke as he was leaving. I immediately took it to Auto Europe to get a second opinion. These guys are in no hurry. I just needed an oil change. Apx a 30 minute job. They say they're busy and bring it in the morning. I get there at 10:30 all bays are full but only one mechanic is around. They say they're too busy. I ask if he desk man is I can make an appointment. He says says Monday and I was there on Friday and they do work on Saturday. Then he says the don't do many oil changes but the first words above the garage say "OIL CHANGE"..... Imagine THAT.... They do a great job and are so much cheaper than the dealership. My only trouble with them is scheduling and their phone customer service. There is nobody answering the phones except the mechanics... but they are usually under the car. So knowing when your car will be ready or even scheduling a time to bring it in seems very slack. But as far as mechanics go, they are awesome! read more

They always get good reviews on various message boards but I'm always frustrated by their total lack of customer service (or courtesy). Almost every time I call it goes to voicemail. Then I had a problem when I was nearby and decided to take it here. Stood out front for a good 10 mins before anyone came to say a word. Even then it appeared I was bothering them just being there. Highly annoying. It made me less than forgiving when they kept finding extra things on my car to fix. To be fair the car likely needed it.
