They put it on the lift, located the problem, fixed it, and cleaned up the mess in and around the engine. It was a brand new O-Ring installed on the oil filter that failed. It was one of the rare "shit happens" incidents. He even gave me some oil sand to take home to use to clean up my garage. My trust has been reestablished with an auto service shop. Leon put the car on a lift and in seconds removed the small rock inside the brake which solved the problem. Wonderful service! When I returned home I found the record of our harmonic balancer repair on the same car by Leon in August 2006 in a hand-written note. Our car had died in the Red Lion parking lot and Leon had insisted that he would tow our car to the shop for fear of driving it might cause serious damage. We then left our car in Pt Angeles while we rented a car and went camping for 3 days at Shi Shi Beach. When we returned Leon had repaired our car and we still have it! So, kudos to Leon at Rusty's for providing us with marvelous service for the past 19 years.

They were able to get me in today, they started looking at it did a diagnostic and determined that the sensor was actually working fine however, there was another issue with my timing chain that was causing the sensor to say it was failing when my check engine light came on. Brit called me and let me know what the problem was, let me know that they could take my money and replace it, but it wouldn't fix the problem and didn't want me to spend money on something that's not going to fix the problem. They let me know that even though they don't do timing chains, where I could get it done approximately how many hours it would take, and the approximate labor cost. I am so impressed. I love that there are still reputable mechanics out there that aren't just out to make a buck. Thank you so much!
