I purchased a 2007 Subaru Outback during the end of 2024. It was not very convenient for me to go…read moreto the Subaru dealership. I got a copy of Justyn's card for his shop called Boxer Worx. I paid a visit to Justyn's shop and I explained to him that I had a Check Engine light on my Outback. He told me to bring the car in and he found a loose spark plug wire. This was corrected and he tightened a few loose bolts. I was pleased with getting my Outback up and running without making a trip to the dealership. A few months ago, I brought the Outback to Justyn to repair an oil leak. He made the repair and the rear struts were replaced once the parts arrived. The car ran great after the repairs were made. I found another new leak. Justyn made the repair and he sent me pictures of the trouble areas before making the repairs. I love the quality of the work that Justyn has done for my Outback. The price of the service has been reasonable. It is considerably less expensive than the dealership. I also the fact that Boxer Worx is my home town of Fernley. Thanks Justyn! You are my go to for Subaru service. Keep being awesome!

After diagnosing the problem, they then quoted me a price. They did the job in the time quoted and in the price quoted. They even took me home when I dropped off the car as I didn't have a ride. Car is still running great! In 2012 my other son was having issues with his fuel gauge. They had us bring in the repair book we were using and showed us what wires to look for and how to test those wires on the tank.........no charge! If you just need them to listen to your vehicle and give you an idea on what is going wrong, no charge. If they need to put tools or gauges on it to get more in depth on a tricky problem, then they charge. I will go to them anytime we have an issue we cannot figure out on our own as they are very friendly and aren't nasty to DIY "shade tree" mechanics like some I've run into over the years.

In 2018 I had my '98 Nissan Maxima towed and dropped off because there was some electrical problem and it wouldn't start. Ted fixed it, charged me $250, and it started up in the parking lot of Fernley Tire but then died again before we left! He kept it for 3 days after that and never found the reason it wouldn't start but promptly gave me back the $250. He said he had spent hours on it but it had become a "personal issue" and was not going to charge me any more than the original $250. All of this mumbo-jumbo about Ted being dishonest is not true. Ted's the MOST honest I've ever dealt with.

My job was done early but there was paint on the side of the vehicle. The issue with it being done early was I was not spoken to until a few hours before causing me to have to pay extra for a rental car because the original estimate was wrong. Since Jason was out of the office I was told he would touch base with me by Tuesday but he did not attempt to contact me till Thursday when I did not have service. His next call was Friday to come pick up the vehicle. This was a long holiday weekend and the rental place was closing in 2 hours. We previously worked out he would leave it for me to pick up over the weekend so I could arrange a ride. He promised the keys would be left behind the desk to be picked up the following Tuesday when the shop reopened. Not only were the keys left in the car I have a newer truck so it's physically impossible to leave the keys in it and it to be locked. Sadly today I was referred to go to this shop again to deal with good ol Jason. He proceeded to badger me of why I would want to work with him again. To be frank progressive said they don't have alot going on and the body shop I was trying to go to in Reno did not have the proper frame working tools as this company does. Instead of being professional he sadly trauma dumped about why he didn't call me instead of just saying sorry I missed this because of my vacation. Telling a pregnant woman about your daughters loss is so not tackful. A simple I'm sorry I didn't call you as my front desk had stated I would, would have kept me as a client and owned up to an honest mistake. Trauma dumping is so unprofessional. I definitely thought it would be worth the drive to reno to get my car fixed vs dealing with emotionally charged workers who miss final details. Good luck with this shop!
