Our family experienced significant confusion regarding insurance billing and financial…read moreresponsibility while seeking pediatric behavioral health IOP services for our child. At the beginning of treatment, we did not fully understand the potential out-of-network financial exposure associated with the program, and we believe clearer financial communication regarding insurance processing and possible patient responsibility would have been very helpful for families already under emotional stress. Although the provider later worked with us to clarify billing expectations and confirmed that we would not be responsible for additional insurance balances beyond the agreed program fees, the experience was still extremely stressful for our family. We encourage other parents considering behavioral health services to carefully verify: - Network status, - Insurance coverage details, - Preauthorization requirements, - And overall financial responsibility before treatment begins.

My case manager, Sarah was absolutely wonderful -- so down to earth, responsive, and genuinely advocated for me constantly and in my corner every step of the way. She made navigating everything feel manageable when I felt overwhelmed. The therapy team is exceptional. And program director Christiane sets the tone for the whole program. It's organized, compassionate, and focused on actual healing, not just checking boxes. If you're considering IOP/PHP, this team is the reason to choose this place, I'm leaving stronger because of all of them. Thank you.

Each time that I spoke with her on each one of my appointments she offered me a refill, but I told her I didn't need one at that time because I still had some left. But when I notified them that I wanted to change Doctors because I was not comfortable with her they told me I could still get a refill since I was down to only two and I would need them and I couldn't see the new doctor for a month. So I called and asked for a few more just to make sure I had them so I can take them "as needed" or just have them in case I need them until I see the next doctor and even though she offered me refills several times she denied giving me a refill once she knew that I wasn't going to use her anymore and told me to just go ahead and go to the emergency room if I needed help. When she knows very well that the emergency room is not necessary for panic attacks. But the medication helps. It was basically her FU to me and retaliatory. Because she was mad that I was not going to want to use her anymore so she has decided that she was not going to give me a refill and basically told me to F off and go to the hospital if I needed help. Mind you that in 74 days of having the medication I only took eight. But she basically treated me as if I was some sort of pill seeker that just wanted more and more pills. When really in reality she knows very well that I'm just trying to make sure that I don't have to go to the hospital every single day and spend thousands of dollars at the hospital for panic attack attacks. She's very cruel and dismissive

After moving back to OC after living in Portland the last 13 years, I needed to find a new doctor…read moreto help manage my ADHD, depression, and anxiety treatment and medications. I am so grateful that I was able to find Rica Beck, Dr. Shih, and the entire team at Neuro Wellness Spa! I first met with Rica a few months ago to establish a medication management plan. She made me feel so welcome, and even gave me a tour of the office, which instantly helped me feel at ease. She was so incredibly easy to talk to, and made a real effort to get to know me and understand what currently was and wasn't been working for me. This allowed us to find the best treatment plan, and has set me on the path to success. I also met with Dr. Shih after learning about TMS treatment and how that could help with my depression and anxiety. I've had issues in the past with finding medications that work for me, so learning that this was a possible option really made me excited. Dr. Shih answered all my questions about TMS and made me feel so at ease about starting this treatment. I'm happy to say that I started TMS about 3 weeks ago and for the first time in my life I'm finally seeing relief some from my depression symptoms. While I still have a ways to go, I'm feeling very optimistic about this and the progress I've made so far. It can be hard to find healthcare providers that don't judge you and truly listen to your concerns, but everyone at Neuro Wellness Spa has truly gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and heard. The doctors, technicians, and front desk staff have been a dream to work with, and I'm grateful everyday that I was able to find them. Everyone should be so lucky to have such a supportive care team!

When I first started seeing him, I was trying to ween off an especially difficult to ween off antidepressant. Joseph helped me with lowering the dosages and scheduling follow ups until I was finally able to get off them entirely. A few months later when my depression crept back and began to severely affect and disrupt my day to day life, I reached back out to Dr. Joseph. He prescribed me an antidepressant that had a profound effect on my wellbeing. I don't always have the best experience with doctors. I feel that sometimes doctors lose their empathy or prescribe medication all willy-nilly to treat a symptom rather than the whole. Throughout my time with Dr. Joseph, I felt that he took the time to listen to my concerns, and cared about improving my quality of life. He was incredibly knowledgeable in his craft and vigilant in finding the perfect dose. He took the time to explain the cons and benefits of different medicines and why he believed this one was the right one for me. I don't believe I would be here today if I hadn't received this quality of care from him and his staff. Neuro Wellness Spa in general has been an amazing company to work with. They were quick to get me started during the onboarding process so that I could see someone as soon as possible. They are kind, professional, and amazing at following up with appointment reminders and sending things out in a timely manner. Thank you to all the staff who have helped me out throughout the years.

I was hoping this wasn't the start of a bad decision--thankfully, this office came highly recommended by a friend. Once I started my sessions, my experience was much more positive. I ended up speaking with four different people, and each one was understanding, a great listener, and provided helpful feedback. I really appreciated feeling heard and supported throughout the process. My only suggestion would be to have a more consistent person for ongoing sessions. Having to repeat my story and some of the heartache I was working through multiple times can be difficult, especially when you're already dealing with a lot emotionally. Hopefully, the scheduler can help with finding a more consistent arrangement moving forward. Overall, I'm grateful for the people I've spoken with and the support they've provided. Hopefully, the scheduling side can become a little smoother, too.
