I'm extremely thankful for ABI. We've been with them for 5 months now with the last month at the Center. What a difference in my kido. Extremely supportive staff. After reading the negative reviews I wanted to put in my input. I'm extremely hands on my four year old and constantly doing research on my own and trying to implement with our team who are always supportive of my requests. I'm not being judged as I've been in the past and I'm actually being heard and respected. For any program to be successful, parents need to be as hands on as possible. Of course I'm not saying the people behind the negative reviews weren't hands on, I'm passing advice down from one formally frustrated parent to another. My 4 year old started potty training with ABI and we're slowly getting there! Where as I tried on my own for 3 weeks and failed miserably. The program works. It just takes time, patience, and involvement. He's now making more eye contact, responding to requests, calmer, and almost potty trained. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT ABI!!! read more

Go with another agency. the trainers are not professional, and there is super high turn over. Lot's of last minute cancellations on their end but little understanding or flexibility when a parent on rare occasion cancels. The lack of consistency made my child's progress suffer. read more

My daughter received ABA services for approximately 2 years about 4 years ago. The skills trainers became like family to us and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with ABI. Our program supervisor, Allison, was extremely knowledgeable, she listened to my concerns, and worked closely with the skills trainers to develop a program that worked for my daughter. OK, seriously- I can't believe I'm the first one to write a review about Autism Behavior Intervention. Almost two years ago we finally got approved through the Regional Center for ABA. The process to get started takes forever with the Regional Center and I was really at the end of my rope. My son had no services and every day that went by felt like valuable time was slipping by. It was excruciating Luckily Denise at ABI was really knowledgeable about the process and she helped me complete everything I needed immediately so no more time would be lost. I was such an emotional basket case and she was a kind and sympathetic ear. It was then that I knew I made the right choice in agencies. My son knew very little before we started ABA. He started at 3.5 years old. He didn't know or respond to any words that were spoken to him. Didn't respond to his name. He didn't know Yes and No. He banged his head. He had pretty good eye contact already but he looked "through you" and he always just looked confused. He had no words and rarely made a sound. He had ONE sign- the sign for "more" I'd read alot about ABA and was a little scared to start. So many said it was "rigid" and my son would be a "robot" Thank GOD I didn't listen. My son is a warm and sunny little giggle box and everything he knows is because ABA and ABI open his world up so he could learn. He now knows 15 signs and he can make a sound for almost every letter in the alphabet. He can ask for the iPad and he finally can call me Mama. He can follow three step instructions. He can sit and be quiet when asked. He learns a little bit more with every single session and it's been amazing. The supervisor of our program is extremely knowledgeable. She communicates in a friendly and professional way. She's organized and really pas attention to little details. But there's so much MORE than that. She has an unbelievable INSTINCT that only comes naturally to people that actually CARE deeply about what they are doing. She comes over frequently and is constantly tweaking my sons program so that he is always moving and always challenged just enough. She genuinely cares for my son and that's really a great feeling. I've met a really good amount of the staff from ABI and I think they are ALL wonderful. I'm always in awe at the amount of energy and passion these folks bring to their jobs. I really do think that is what makes ABI stand out from the other agencies. I am a member of several ASD parent groups online and have read lots of negative things about all of the other agencies but not once about ABI. Every time we have a new trainer or our team changes I end up thinking that ABI must secretly favor my son because we always get the BEST trainers..but after a year and a half with this agency- I realize that ALL of the trainers are just THAT GREAT. They really are. Let's face it- we spend more time with these people than we do with our friends and family sometimes. The skills trainers at ABI make the whole process painless. They become a part of our household. They cheer at the tiniest inch of progress my son makes and they empathize when days are rough. They go above and beyond. They ask questions and help me figure my son out. They always bring their "A" game- even when my son is being a devil. But the most important thing to me is that I know that they love my child. They really do. And not just because he is cute. Although I bet that helps. If you're shopping for an ABA provider- you should look no further. If there's a wait list at ABI it's for a very good reason. They are the absolute best in the area and absolutely worth the wait. Choosing ABI has been the number one BEST decision I've ever made with regards to my son. I truly thank God daily for putting ABI in our lives. read more

For some reason my previous review was deleted, I do not know why since it was an honest review and I can show yelp the proof that I used to be a client of this "therapy clinic"(I use the term loosely) I will simply state some facts here: #1 They have some of the creepiest looking people coming over to your house not dressed in proper attire(i.e. men with long greasy hair that your child can pull on, wearing jewelery, women baring thier behinds and breasts falling out of thier shirts with huge cut out shirts that show thier bras and expose nipples. #2 my daughter has not improved much since starting a year ago, I can also show proof of that because she does not seem to show any long term improvements such as socialising and she is still throwing tantrums, and her eye contact and aggressive behavior seems to be getting worse. #3 Thier so called "skills trainers" only seem to do real work when a supervisor happens to show up at your home, but for the most part they like to sit and not do much with your child sometimes the first thing they do when they get to your house is complain about how much "work" your child is even though they are getting paid to "play" with your child. I dont know what these peoples excuses are for having a negative attitude but if you are being paid to do your job then you should do it and not let hours go by and ignore your client. Maybe the owners and management at ABI should let thier "skills trainers"( i.e instructors) know that if they dont really like thier job then they should go elsewhere because the special needs children they cater to are the ones ulitmatley paying for this. read more

Large profit-oriented company ran in a totalitarian manner with little real interest for their clients and their families. They send their freshly trained "instructors" into your home and try to run your life. Some of these instructors are very invasive, pushy, and judgmental about your life-style, and cultural differences. Don't let these people even close to your home! read more

I believe this company genuinely cares about their patients/clients treatments, but that is where it stops. The owners are not kind nor professional to their staff. They reprimand their supervisors and administrative staff in front of the entire office by yelling at them from their offices and announcing what the employee has done wrong in from of the entire office (demoralizing). I was there once and an owner yelled out a list of errors to a supervisor. I could tell the supervisor was extremely embarrassed. This company has extremely low moral amongst employees, but they do focus on providing great ABA, just not great leadership in house. read more

I applied for a position and was able to do an interview with Madeline Horner the Clinical Supervisor. She was very friendly at the interview and told me there were much people needed from my area (the south area) which she mentioned to me. I later received a call from her stating I did not qualify for the job for I did not have enough child experience. This job did not require any sort of certifications so I called back and mentioned to her that not having enough child experience should not determine my capability in doing this job position. She became loudly sort of rude exclaiming "We do not need you anymore". I had no option but to not continue with trying to get a position here. I understand this is a very sensitive job position and I was not taking into consideration of my abilities to perform and exceed in this job. The way I was told I couldn't do this job for we don't believe in the ability you can excel in this position made me feel as I did not have an equal opportunity. read more
