We recently had the pleasure of working with Abel for the crown molding installation in our home. We chose to work with him after reviewing his Yelp rating and comparing quotes from other similar businesses. He also does ALL of the work related to crown molding installation;cutting, installing, painting and detailing. All other businesses we called, only cut and installed the crown molding and I would have had to hire someone else to paint and detail. I reached out to Abel initially via text and he asked a few questions related to the project. He was able to provide a quote that same day and get us on his schedule, a couple of weeks out. He was punctual every day and has a very pleasant and polite demeanor. He has an attention to detail which reflects on his work. His work: he does beautiful, meticulous work! He has a high attention to detail. He works very organized and is super efficient! His level of work is close to perfection. We have had neighbors admire/comment on the excellent quality of the cuts, paint, and finishing details. We are so happy with the work that he did. Cost: Abels rates are very competitive and reasonable. We had received quotes from 3 other businesses, and Abel was able to perform all jobs related to the crown molding installation at a very competitive cost. Other business only performed the cuts, or didn't paint, which resulted in additional costs and overall higher quote price. I've wanted crown molding in my home since I purchased it in 2004. Abel and his assistant were great in every sense of the process. I called around for years to different company's and their prices were just astronomical. I went on Yelp and found Authentic Handyman and he had great reviews he was my last call before I gave up on my dream of ever getting crown molding. We needed a door frame repaired with some drywall repair and paint. Looking at the pieces of trim and framing, I thought some needed to be replaced. Abel showed up on time, letting me know he was on the way. Abel and his crew were very professional. They worked quickly and told me I didn't need to replace any pieces. Once everything was done, Abel asked me to look carefully at it and said if I saw anything I didn't like to let him know and he would fix it. There was nothing wrong. The repair was perfect! Just recently bought a forclosure and needed a lot of home improvements. At the recomendation of a friend I called Abel Ayala of authentic handy man (the owner) to assembled and hang 4 ceiling fans and 1 chandelier I thought it would take him the entire day or more to complete the job, but he and his assistant completed the job in 3 hrs. and the fans and chandelier look amazing. The price was under the market rate and Abel was very professional. I plan on bringing Abel back in two weeks for additional jobs around the house. This guy is a true pro at what he does. I cannot even express how happy I am with Abel's expertise in what he does. I reached out to Abel because I had 8 rooms/areas in the house that still needed crown moulding. Great service! After the tile guy finished with my shower Carlos came and put the bathroom back together. He patched and textured drywall, installed baseboard and then painted the walls, ceiling and baseboard. I suffered a massive flood in my home and had to transplant to a rental home. Insurance only covers so much and when your tools are all still packed up, you don't have a choice but to call pro's that are not only certified but, do quality, clean work. I got nothing but courteous, professionalism from Abel and Emmett. It's a family owned business and Abel (the owner) does the work himself. They get booked up so, make sure to plan ahead. Quality work in this town doesn't go unnoticed and they definitely provide top-notch service. They were on time, completed all the necessary service that I had shown them at the consult appointment. I had built-in shelves and had to jimmy-rig them to secure them to the wall. Abel and Emmett stained them so it wouldn't show some of the unsightly inconsistencies from the removal so, I could re-purpose them at the rental. They wall mounted my flat screen for me without tearing into the wall, which I probably would've done had I tried doing it myself, and they took care of my gas grill by having to go 2x to get the right fit on the adapter. They check to make sure there's no gas leak either. I can't recommend them enough. It's hard to find good, reliable Handymen that are certified and can pretty much do everything from minor electrical, hang Christmas lights, to something as simple as patching up holes.
