I submitted a maintenance request for black mold on August 27th. They ignored my request for an…read moreentire MONTH during which time I got extremely sick. I told them this and they did not care. They then tried to send someone out who is NOT licensed in mold assessment and remediation to remove the toxic black mold and tried to tell me that it was algae. I am an ecologist. That is just laughable. I gave them several attempts to correct the situation and they continued to gaslight me, did not thoroughly evaulate the extent of the mold as I had to keep calling them back out there for more mold that was discovered, neglected and ignored all communication from me for six weeks until I went on a social media mass embarrassment campaign, and tried to send in someone untrained to remove the most toxic mold there is. They are still refusing to work with me. Beware! They are lazy, negligent, incompetent and do not care about non-luxury listings. If you find mold in your house, report them to the Texas State Health Department and call out a Code Compliance Officer.

Having about as much experience in the process as Dane Cook does of being a good comedian, I was fairly leery at the start and expected it to be a time-consuming wormhole of complete suckage. On the contrary. From the very beginning, Susan was upfront and forthcoming about what to expect - at our first meeting, she gave me a veritable encyclopedia of materials, detailing each step along the way and what I should (or shouldn't) expect. Despite the ultra-competitive market in Austin, she was quick to find properties I was interested in and promptly followed up on each and every one I pointed out to her. She was completely honest and wasn't afraid to tell me her opinion; several times she pointed out flaws in homes I'd indicated interest in that would've cost me a nice chunk of change to remedy post-purchase. In the end, it only took about a month to find a property that was suitable for me, one that I could be happy and proud to call my home. And she was there with me every step of the way and beyond - even after I'd closed on the home she made regular follow-up checks to make sure all was right with me and my house. All in all, I'm incredibly thankful that Susan was the first name I got when I asked around looking for realtor recommendations. Everyone knows that finding and buying a home can induce enough stress to the point where you'd unhesitatingly take it out on a basket full of kittens, but with Susan, it certainly went as painlessly and smoothly as I could've hoped for. While we didn't have a typical search for a home - we did work with Nipur directly from the pre-offer stage all the way through the end of key-handover, and he made it an incredibly simple and seamless experience. During the offer stage, he was not pushy at all, but rather gave me the right resources and real estate stats that proved crucial to coming up with my offer price. He was very easy to get in touch, even though both him and I were traveling right before and after the offer deadline. He was more like a friend when guiding me though the offer, giving me an honest account of the various formalities and which ones were important. He was resourceful - he called my insurance agent on my behalf to set up the insurance contact, he constantly kept in touch with my lender to ask them for exactly the items needed for the offer. After the offer he helped me through the escrow window - he went over the Home disclosure agreement with me, and even got his colleague to answer my very specific questions, both about the property as well as the loan agreement. He was accommodating when we asked for a second showing of the unit during our parents' visit. Throughout the process, it really felt like we were working with a friend and were comfortable in asking a lot of questions and his opinions. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Nipur as a friendly and professional agent :)
