Lars is quite knowledgeable and was very sensitive to our specific needs. Case in point: he identified and removed a bush next to our house that was actually toxic for dogs...something we never would have suspected ourselves. He also uses pet-friendly weed killer that has had no affect on our dogs while making a visible difference on our lawn. But all this is just the first tier of their business. Buckeye has done some amazing things for both the maintainability as well as the aesthetics of our back yard. A sprinkler system was something I had always desired but considered a pipe-dream due to the cost and installation. Once again, Lars demonstrated his knowledge and thrift by recommending and installing a sprinkler system for a cost that we could afford so that we never have to water our lawn by hand again...the system works great! They don't weed or apply weed pre emergent and when they did weed (which was only once in 5 months) they pulled the portion above ground leaving the roots. I don't like the way they've pruned the shrubs in our community because they look too formal and unnatural since they obviously use an electric trimmer and round them into balls or into boxy shrubs.
