My husband had carpal tunnel surgery and he attended Ascend for his hand therapy. This physical therapy office may specialize in hand therapy but they do it all. I recently had a lumbar spinal fusion and am going to outpatient physical therapy here. My appointments generally last an hour and consist of warm up, core/TA strengthening and muscle manipulation. I also have "homework" that o do at home. Staff is polite and respectful. I've never felt out of place or embarrassed to attempt these exercises.

It took 1 year with 4 Drs and lots of ineffective treatment before I was referred to Dr. Epstein. Within 3 months he has done multiple procedures along with correct pain medication to restore my spine function. Will be off pain med completely in about 4 weeks. I am sooo grateful to Dr. Epstein. After that, he suggested a steady regimen of PE and chiropractic work---through Pain Management of North Dallas. He seemed to be in a hurry to end his day. I asked about any temporary pain relief for weekend as I had been in pain for over a week. He said he could do nothing and: "Work with me here, buddy." Needless to say, I never scheduled the appointment for Monday and he was out the door before I left. His team called me several times trying to secure another appointment. Today, I received a bill for $55 about eight weeks after this fiasco---on a $491 bill that was sent to insurance. All this for no help and less than 15 minutes. And we wonder why the healthcare industry in this country is a joke.

I'm…read moreusing free wi-fi, have access to free snacks, coffee and water and have already had several updates on her condition during the 2.5 hour surgery thanks to the pager they provide you when you are in the building (they call your cell phone if you leave). I've spent a lot of time in hospitals having my own parts fixed and waiting around for others to have procedures done - typically it's a crapshoot on when you'll get officially checked in, who will administer your anesthesia or when you'll be able to find out anything about the patient. Not today - the anesthesiologist called the gf last night to confirm her allergies. We were told to be ready to be checked in at 7:30 this morning (they had her dressed and her IV set by 7:35). Her surgery was supposed to last 2.5 hours and I just got word (at exactly 11:30) she's been wheeled to recovery. They had her permits for a handicap placard ready for me to take to the DMV as soon as they took her in to surgery as well - to say this has been a monster success so far would be one hell of an understatement. Of course I'll hold off on five stars until I've been a patient up here, but for now I couldn't be happier with the treatment she and I both have experienced. Bravo, Baylor - as a Bear, I'm pretty pleased right now.

On my very first visit Dr. Morchower he took the time to talk with me about what I wanted and what I needed. He also discussed what he would like to try and his plan was to lower the amount or strength of the pain medication that I was taking. I would love nothing more than to find enough relief from procedures that I would be able to be completely free from medications. Dr. Morchower listens to you and I feel valued and cared for. I feel like he is a partner in my care and that we share the same goals with respect to managing my pain. Unfortunately, I had another accident in December 2024. Since then all of my pain has increased and now I have frequent migraines. He has tried everything to get me relief. Although, these procedures haven't provided long term pain relief, it is always best to approach pain conservatively first. Dr. Morchower truly understands his field and he is a highly skilled specialist in pain management. I would recommend him to my family and that is the highest compliment I can give to a Physician. From reception to nursing staff, he has chosen compassionate individuals to assist him with his practice. I love that I can text concerns and requests, and that my needs are met in a timely manner. SEVEN YEARS LATER! I never once got a bill from them since I started or ended therapy, and now years and years later, they decide my insurance didn't cover anything (which is completely crazy considering my insurance covers everything I've ever needed, including physical therapy, and also considering that they're more than happy to cover physical therapy to keep me from being billed enormous surgery costs)? On top of that, they want to charge me late fees for non payment when I never once saw a bill to begin with! ! I have never in my life seen this happen. They either lied about my insurance coverage (which again, is not possible) they completely screwed up their billing and accounting, or they're just plain thieves. I'm so baffled I don't even know who to talk to - my insurance or their office, and you can be dang sure they'd not answer the phone because they NEVER answer the phone, or NEVER call me back after leaving a voicemail.
