I didn't like the service at this place. The lady who dyed my hair didn't do it the way I wanted and I explained to her, I showed her photos and we talked. My hair was a beautiful blonde and I told her I wanted mixed dark and blonde highlights but she did all my hair dark and left a few blonde highlights darker than blonde, nothing like what I showed her in the photo and we talked, she ruined my hair. She also wanted to cut my hair and told me because it would look good. I told her several times. NO, I wanted to let it grow, she continued to insist and I felt pressured and I let her do what she wanted. How sad it shouldn't be this way .they should respect the clients' decisions. I've been so happy with my hair cut. It's been hard to find a stylist that can really do very short hair. I often have left salons feeling like I'm settling for a look that I'm not crazy about. I got the best highlights done every single person in this facility. Does such an amazing job with the coloring. My hair doesn't turn orange after and if it does get a little bit disbalance, they do a toner for me for free on the house because I'm always coming back as a returning customer, they take care of their customers. This place is known for a quick blowout spot. Your hair will look gorgeous within 15 minutes of arrival. The sweetest part about this place is that she feeds you like you're her child.! Definitely ask for the price for what services you'll be receiving once you arrive, then ask again to confirm, and again to reconfirm and again because this place played me bad. Months before I decided to get my hair done here, I walked by and got quoted about $250 for a balayage for everything including wash, cut, dry. I decided I didn't want to pay that much for a place I've never been to for my balayage so I later returned and just got a single process hair with wash, cut, and dry... When I walked in, I let them know I what I wanted. I was told for me it would be $120 total since I have long hair. Which was fine, since after calculating with the sign posted, it looked like my single process hair would be 60 and my cut, wash, and dry was 60. Or something along those numbers.... Yeah, after I was done, I was overcharged and was told my single process was 120 alone plus an additional 60 for wash, cut, dry... that was insane to me. I asked how the price changed when I was told 120 total.. I was over it by then and just paid. As much as I like my hair, it was way darker than I asked and way shorter than I wanted. I wouldn't come back simply due to the lack of honesty in prices that are posted in the salon. After reading other reviews, it looks like this is a consistent thing. What a shame. read more

I had a terrible experience here. I came into the salon and explicitly stated I only needed a wash and cut. I even provided pictures of what I wanted and expressed several times that I only wear my hair curly. I was not only unheard, but lied to. After my wash, the woman who washed my hair asked me again if I wanted a blow dry (third time), I explicitly told her "no." Then when I went to go sit at Lora's chair, she proceeded to ask me, yet again, if I wanted my hair blow dried, AGAIN, I repeatedly told her "no." As she is cutting my hair, she begins to go on a tangent about how the neighborhood used to be, and how much better it used to be until "certain" people started moving in. Extremely inappropriate, closed minded, xenophobic and unprofessional. She took all of 7 minutes to cut my hair and then proceeded to blow dry my hair STRAIGHT even though I had made it extremely clear that I do not ever straighten my hair. Needless to say, it was an extremely uncomfortable situation to be subjected to a hair dresser that expresses xenophobic views of the community we reside in, but also to blatantly ignore my wishes as a paying customer. What should've cost me no more than $60 turned to $105 dollars, with an expected tip. I will never return to this salon again and will make sure my extensive community never does as well. I got my services done with Zhanna for over 15 years, until one day she ruined my very 1st highlights experience with sitting and gossiping out loud with clients about other clients. I paid over $250, only to come back after the 1st wash back with green highlights. Zhanna re-colored my hair free of charge and I never went back until recently to see zarina another colorist. on June 26th I contacted zarina to get a blow dry for an event with my extensions which btw cost me $400, zarina was happy to serve me but when I hit there she was busy with 4 customers waiting for her before me. I told zarina I will just go as I was running late but Zhanna offered to do my hair instead. zhanna sadly burned my extensions, blow dry I got made me look like 60yo lady. I got home washed my hair off and restyled them myself. Zhanna never wind up putting the extensions in saying that they are not necessary as my hair after her blow dry looked good. I took the extensions out today to get them styled by the professional and realize led that Zhanna burned my extensions. I called Zhanna immediately after I noticed and she told me to stop by the store. I did, with the client on her chair she right away started claiming she didn't do it and that it's not her job. As a professional Zhanna didn't have the decency to apologize and man up for her craftsmanship. stay away from this place, there is absolutely no professionalism on the business owners part who happens to be Zhanna. read more

So this will be the last time I go to Zhanny for my hair! First she tells me my hair looks bad because of COVID not realizing that I have thyroid issues. Second she always tries to convince you to do way more then what you need! Third she made the color so dark like most Russians look and I look washed out as do they! Fourth I asked and showed a particular cut and she was giving me excuses, if you cannot do the cut then say it . All she knows how to do is a bob, I had my daughter go there once for a wedding and she said sent my daughter to someone else after she said she would do it. Fifth it cost $160 for color and cut & blow dry . Truthfully it was way too much!!! I will never go there again. I had a hair emergency the night I went to get my hair done at Austin Fancy Cut Corp. My hair turned to copper the night before. So I googled and yelped for the nearest salon. Austin Fancy Cut Corp had outstanding reviews at an affordable price so I went early the next day. Anna did an awesome job with my baylage. She told me honestly that she can't be sure if my hair would take the bleaching process with the photo I showed her to apply to my hair. She said she will do her best and yet she did an amazing job! She also made it so much prettier by making it beach wave curls. My hair turned out so much better than I have expected! Anna is my miracle worker! i love the baylage she did to my hair. Olga took a her time and made my hair look amazing. When I wasn't pleased with the way a few hair sections looked, she immediately jumped to correcting that. I'm bummed with my experience at Austin Fancy Cut. I was excited that they're a short walk from my apartment and when I walked in it was small but nicely decorated. I got a single process color. I asked on the phone when I made the appointment how much it would be and they said $45-60. Their sign also says $45-60. They dyed my hair and it was darker than I wanted but I didn't want to do it again. I went to pay and they charged me $90. I told them they said it was less and they said that was the price so they basically lied on the phone and their sign is inaccurate. I would have come back every month to do my roots if I wasn't overcharged. They just lost my business. read more

Amazing! Picked this salon based on the reviews and proximity, but I'm so glad I did. I have always experienced hairdressers doing whatever they want and completely avoiding my requests, NOT THE CASE HERE!. I even had pictures to show zhanna but chose not to show her so she could cut to compliment my facial structure, and I'm so glad I did. I asked for a trim with weight reduction layers and I literally left the salon looking like the model pictures I didn't show her! She is so fast too! Another pet peeve is wasting the whole day at a salon.... Lol I'm not a fan of any kind of salon! But that has all changed. I can here a few times in the past for a hair with Zhanna and she did a nice job. The last time I went i do my color elsewhere to the same lady that I've gone too before I even started going to this place. And of course zhanna said oh you should let me do you highlights and I said no thanks I go elsewhere and she made this annoyed face. Then she went to proceed and cut my Hair she used the buzzer and literally just cut straight. Charged me $60. Okay last time I was here was back in March for a haircut as a walk in. I told Paul I would be back and here I am 7mo later! I did another walk in to inquire about the pricing for balayage. I just decided then and there to do it! I'm impulsive they were available and the price was affordable so there wasn't much to think about. My girl OLGA did my hair and she did a fantastic job! Because of my hair type, thick and semi wavy, it took 4hours to do! Olga was very patient and had great customer service all throughout those 4hours! I showed her what I wanted and she delivered. RUN AWAY! I went to this hair salon on early July and can't express enough what a horrible experience it was. I asked for a simple balayage and showed photos of what I wanted; my hair was virgin at the time and I expressed that I wanted a subtle look and didn't want that much of it died, regardless of my request the hair stylist bleached almost my entire head of hair and didn't even bother with toning it. I was left with the most horrible brassy/orange hair I've ever seen. Needless to say, I left the hair salon in tears. I was in such a state the following day that I called out from work saying that I had an emergency, which IT WAS (couldn't even look at myself in the mirror without breaking down), and went to Delaj Hair, where I was able to have it fixed thankfully. Bottom line is that this place is a nightmare and a huge waste of money (I ended up spending around $600 in hair in 2 days - UNACCEPTABLE), couldn't be more regretful and angry to have gone here. I truly believe that the hairdresser wasn't skilled but he shouldn't have taken on a task he couldn't complete - his incompetency costed me lots of $, a nervous breakdown, time, gas, peace, the health of my virgin-healthful hair. I have had very bad previous experiences with hair coloring, so bad that I was about to color my hair black at home and thats it. I then decided to give it another shot at Austin Fancy Cut!!! Went in with a picture and wanted the exact same thing. Dalia took care of me and assured me I would need the stripping if color and then the color i wanted and also shine because of the stripping of color, nothing more! She did not try to get money out of me by making me do extra things. Customer service was absolutely amazing. I am surprised this place has only 4 stars when other disgusting salons in the area have 5! This salon high deserves 5 star, especially Dalia. Even when i was just waiting on he side for my color to sit in, she came and made sure I was ok. Price: to strip the color was $100 and for a single color it was $60, and the shine was $25!!! For this customer service and results I would have easily paid more than $300. I high recommend this place, it is very hard to find salons that give you the service you are paying for. I believe the name of my first stylist, Nancy, fixed my hair. Not only she fixed it, but it came out better than expected! I went back today to get a cut and get my hair dyed. I originally had long hair (almost to my waistline), and I was debating whether or not to cut my hair short. This is a big decision since I always had long hair! I went back, because my stylist did an amazing job, and it wasn't expensive. Plus, the place I used to go previously I did not care for. I called at their opening hours to see if they can fit me in today. The person who answered the phone told me to come in. My first stylist wasn't there today, but Dalia did my hair. I asked her how I wanted it, and the color I liked. She gave me exactly what I wanted! She did such an amazing job with my hair! I have received many compliments from my friends on how well it turned out. It wasn't even expensive either! I did the Cut, Blow and Dye deal they have advertised on Yelp. If I went to another place, they would've charged double the amount with worse results. The place is small, and it looks like they only have one sink to wash customers' hair. It also needs some renovation. But don't let appearance fool you. There is this one stylist who always tells people they are beautiful, which I find very sweet. It's a family feeling there, most spoke Russian, and even though I do not speak, I still felt really comfortable in their WARM atmosphere. Zhanna is TRULY an expert! I wanted some color and a fresh cut (me, who NEVER really changes her look) and she DEFINITELY delivered! She suggested some options from pics on her phone and I trusted her instincts (from her stellar reviews on Yelp). She did not disappoint! My daughter desperately needed a haircut but she's picky about how she wants her hair to look. After doing some research, this seemed our best option without breaking the bank. There was a short wait when we got there on a Saturday morning. We wanted to donate her hair and they were accommodating. After cutting her hair to donate, she started to cut and style her hair to our specifications. I thought she did a good job. My daughter was a little upset that it was too short but it wasn't entirely the hairstylist's fault. We needed the length to donate. The haircut was cute.
