An unpleasant experience because Dr. Sean Paul completely ignored me after surgery, unbelievable! I he said he was going to do the lower half, which he didn'. I thought that he would minimally look at my post-op face, he never did. I initiated conversation him. I'm very outgoing and speak to everyone. I approached him, spoke to him, he reciprocated. Second he was paid $27,000. Cherry has been on me to pay their $17,000 they paid Dr. SP. I already paid $10,000. This price was "professional courtesy" which is misnomer. My results which lasted only two month. My face is sagging more than pre-surgery. I'd like to ask him " why did you completely ignore me" I've never had wrinkles small or large. I only wanted skin tightening. I will have to seek professional medical advice for the lumps and awareness behind my left ear. read more

I came to Dr Schneider for a second reconstruction after my mastectomy which happened 8 years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr S wasn't my plastics guy for the initial reconstruction, that was Dr Eggleston, who is so busy he only does plastic surgery on women immediately after mastectomies (up to the first year after mastectomy to get the best aesthetic effect). Dr E did a GREAT job and wanting another reconstruction had nothing to do with Dr E's work, which was phenomenal. Here's why I needed the second reconstruction... I wasn't crazy about the scar tissue contraction around the implant, but was even less happy that the FDA recalled the specific brand/type of implant I had because it was causing lymphoma. Great! But Dr Schneider was highly recommended for breast reconstruction using your own body's tissue and blood vessels. He's not only plastics, he's also micro vascular surgery. He has exactly the skill set and experience I needed for best results and I can't recommend him highly enough. (If you just take the old implant out, do liposuction, and squirt the fat back where you want it to live, the fat cells die bc they need blood flow to stay alive. Hence my self-transplant of tissue and blood vessels from legs to my breast.) My surgery was over 8 hours long, and he brought in his med school professor, who trained under the surgeon who invented this procedure, to split the work. Plus sides of choosing this option: feels and looks much more natural, I know I won't get sick because I don't have to suppress my immune system, and they basically removed enough fat from my thighs that I have thigh gap, for the first time since I was probably 12 years old. Con: it's an 8 hour+ surgery if you have two surgeons working on it full time. More like 17 hours if you only use one surgeon. And I have pretty long incisions on my thighs. C'est la vie. Dr Schneider and his mentor Dr Womac were always extremely professional and knowledgeable, patient with all my questions and encouraging of my research, gentle, warm and compassionate. I saw Dr Schneider every day I was in the ICU (3 days, bc needed hourly checks with Doppler ultrasound to ensure none of the microvascular reconnections were clotting off.) He was always considerate of my modesty, closing the door before he, Dr Womac, and the rest of the care team would examine my incisions. He also refrained from keeping my origami hospital couture splayed open any longer than necessary. I'm 2 weeks out from the procedure (technically called a stacked PAP flap, PAP being the abbreviation for the artery name and stacked referring to the fact that they used fat and tissue, the "flap," from one inner thigh for one half of the breast (akin to the northern hemisphere on a globe) and the other thigh's stuff for the other, southern hemisphere half; stacked, sort of.) I'm very happy with the results so far, I'm healing well, very little bruising, not in pain, and enjoying having thigh gap for the first time since maybe 8th grade. Also double double triple thanks for his office staff Monica, Shaun, and Epiphani, who took good care of me in every way possible. Also I'm very impressed with Dr Schneider's patience with the crazy-making back and forth he had to endure with the HR division of my employer, who were fine with me working from home 5 days a week instead of 3, until I'm cleared to drive... But who couldn't seem to understand why I was on light duty and what it meant and no lifting the arm over your head-- "what does that have to do with your job?" "does he mean physically light duty or intellectually light?" I don't know, lady, but he put his phone number on the form, so maybe you could ask him? And while you're at it, how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Anyway--double thumbs up, 10 gold stars, A+++++ for Dr Chris Schneider and the team at Austin Face & Body. I absolutely love Dr. Pong! He was the first surgeon I spoke too about an explant and lift and he listened and understood everything I wanted (specifically that I'm older and don't want to get more implants). He assured me and made me feel so heard. I got two other opinions from other surgeons who did not make me feel heard, and were trying to tell me that I'd not be happy if I didn't get another set of implants. One doctor had me in tears but I knew the answer was that Dr. Pong was my surgeon. We met in person, he was so young looking, but he was just as kind and took his time to explain everything to me about my procedure. On the day of, his staff was excellent! So kind and helpful. The nurses and anesthesiologists were just the best! The experience went better than expected with minimal pain, and at my follow up the next day, I got to see the magic of Dr. Pongs artistry. I was so unsure about what size to go, wanting a drastic change, perky breasts and to be small but not so small that it didn't look nice. He made me look perfect! They are better than expected at day 1. I know they will be shrinking and won't be as full as they heal but that's okay, I'm so happy with the results so far. My breasts are back in their 20's. I highly recommend Dr. Pong, to anyone who is considering a mommy makeover or lift or breast work of any kind. Well... unfortunately my first impression of this place has completely changed after multiple consultations with other surgeons. Originally i saw the raving reviews about dr. Jeanie lujan and decided to visit for a tiny bump on my forehead i was trying to get rid of. She said it was a easy fix and that she can just "scrape" it off. It sounded scary but she said she can do it the same day. I had to pay for the consultation fee and the removal fee which was a hefty 600$. She assured me the bump would be gone after and i trusted her, and if the bump does come back it would be very small and unlikely. It hurt and it took about 3 weeks to fully heal. When it healed the bump came right back as if i never even got this procedure. This was crazy because i just spent 600$ to remove it and it didn't even make a slight difference. When i emailed they just said i have to get it cut even deeper and get stitches in my forehead and pay another 1000$. Crazy right? However she promised me that it would not be visible to a human eye , basically invisible once healed. When i consulted other plastic surgeons they said once you get stitches, especially in such a prominent area like your forehead theres no way you won't have a scar. I opted for laser treatment which worked for me at a different place in LA. I'm so glad i didn't go back here. Almost ended up with an unnecessary scar on my face. The only reason why its not a one star is because she was nice, and the staff here seems nice but its someones face you're working with and i think they should definitely put more care and thought instead of just money. read more

I had my first experience with Austin Face & Body yesterday specifically with Dr. Paul and all I can say is WOW! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist and welcomed with open arms. The Yelp comment below about her being rude is extremely hard for me to believe but to each their own. I have had a Chalazion by my lower lash line for a few months now and have tried everything under the Sun and gone to every 'well known' Otoplasty surgeon/surgery center recommended to me to remove it and nothing has worked. I went to Dr. Paul for a steroid injection after being recommended by mutual friends and although I cannot tell yet if it has worked (just received yesterday), I can say that I've never left a plastic surgeon or even a Dr.'s office more informed than I did yesterday after meeting with Dr. Paul. He is kind, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. He has a way of explaining things so thoroughly that isn't pushy yet you can tell he knows what he's talking about. Not bad but not transparent or comfortable. During booking, receptionists mentioned pricing would be provided during the consultation and not over email (totally get that!). However, during the consultation, no pricing was provided or even mentioned until after they put numbing cream on. A receptionist pops in asking for my cc (without an invoice breakdown to show me) while I was sitting in the patient chair. She did eventually show me an invoice after I requested. It was an unusual experience and felt disconcerting, especially after the doctor commented on me being "one of those" from California. It was a joke but odd which made me not want to move forward with what I came there for. Everyone was very nice but just not the comfortable and transparent atmosphere I was hoping for. read more

I saw Dr Gay for a small chalazion removal in my left lower lid at this location. It had become quite bothersome, and it was my first experience developing one. Upon reaching out to the clinics front desk I was able to speak with someone to set up an appointment. The front desk person was able to put my mind at ease by telling me that this was a very common procedure in their office, and that Dr Gay was "the doctor" to go to when it came to these types of procedures. She also advised me that a mask was required for entry to the office. Upon arriving at the clinic my temperature was checked, I was able to sanitize my hands at the front desk, and the paperwork/checkin process was very simple and speedy. They also had dividers in the seating room to help mitigate any concerns when it came to being exposed to other patients, which I was a very big fan of. They took me back, a medical assistant took my vitals, set me up in the surgical room, the doctor greeted me and gave me a run down of what was going to happen, answered all of my questions before starting, and before I knew it the procedure was over. It was a quick in and out service, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I highly recommend Dr Gay for all your ocular surgical needs! read more

I checked this place out so that I could start with regular filler maintenance and get a "feel" for what a nose job would look like with a liquid rhinoplasty. Luckily, everything turned out good on my first visit and I had extra in my syringe. The consensus from myself and Dr. Lujan was to let it settle and asses the situation on my follow up, if I needed more, I had it to inject. Fast forward to my next appointment (which I was told would take all of 30 minutes) I arrived on time and waited 20 minutes to see DR. JEANIE LUJAN. As you can imagine, I wasn't too happy, but my name was called. I get to the room, excited with my results, but wanting to touch up things a little more in certain areas. But no, I waited another 20 mins without ever seeing her. I timed this appointment between meetings and I live 40 mins away. To just assume I have time to wait like that is ridiculous. I was super upset, because I had to leave without ever seeing DR. JEANIE LUJAN, without ever getting the results I wanted, and waisting the rest of my filler (I had two types of fillers, forget the name). I feel like all that money and time was waisted. I was so upset that when I stopped by the front desk to explain why I was leaving, I had to hold back tears. They asked to schedule another appointment, I had to tell them let me think about it (before I embarrass myself crying like a baby over fillers, I'm a sensitive gal, I know). Front staff was great, and understood. However I did get a call trying to confirm my appointment in a couple days. Weird, but I obviously decline. I didn't even get an apology or check up from Dr Lujan! I hope my before and after pics don't end up on their websites. My advice to this location: - Respect the time and money of your patients. Some of us struggle with giving back to ourselves, and you don't need to aid in that battle. - Communicate more effectively. If I needed to reschedule because you are backed up, it would have been better for me to do so than waist 2 hours of my time (drive time included). read more

I was referred to Austin Face & Body by Austin Dry Eye. I met with Dr. Gay and found him professional and very thorough in his diagnosis and procedure. I actually learned a lot from his consultation for my blocked tear duct issue after spending three months with other doctors and clinics to figure out the eye problem I was experiencing. The nurses/assistants were very nice as well. I can't say the same for his scheduling person! I scheduled the procedure and had to get clearance from my primary physician for the surgery. I went to my primary 10 days before the surgery and she would not give me clearance until lingering symptoms of having back-to-back Covid & the flu over the six weeks prior were cleared up. I immediately emailed the office to let them know I needed to reschedule my procedure when my primary physician would give me clearance. I got a rather rude voice mail from scheduling informing me that they "cancelled" my appointment and I would need to pay $250 before they would reschedule my procedure! I wanted to reschedule NOT cancel the appointment pending getting the clearance from my doctor. I called the scheduling number back and got the same rude person giving me the same information on the $250 rescheduling fee. I let her know my doctor would not clear me for the surgery until my headaches, sore throat, drainage and coughing cleared up to have surgery on my nasal area and tear duct! It's interesting that the doctor would give up a surgery that I need probably worth a few thousand dollars to him and the clinic over a $250 fee to reschedule that was really out of my control since I couldn't get clearance at the time of the procedure from my internist. I would still go through with the surgery with Dr. Gay if they had a little more flexibility concerning their rescheduling policy. This is something I have never experienced before with any appointment rescheduling with extenuating circumstances! If not I will find someone else for the procedure. Horrible experience with the staff here. You have a thin and long haired brunette there who was extremely rude to my girlfriend. She should not be someone you have speaking to clients! We like the aesthetic, style and design of the place so that was great but if you choose to have staff that is curt, snobby, self serving, pushy to get things done then that was a poor hiring of staff. We have always had great experiences at other places and a friend I know had a nice experience at this location but if this is the way your staff wants to be especially went they are explaining why someone should get things done to them then you need to rethink your staff since she does not come off caring more about the client then how much she can push to get a sale. For as nice as others seem in this office, you really need to have a conversation with all who speak directly with customers. read more

Dr Sean Paul was recommended to me to do an upper eyelid lift( I asked another Dr who he would send his Mom to). He changed my life with a simple procedure. My field of vision was impaired by those droopy lids and I would encourage everyone with this issue to get a consult. I have yet to have an appointment that hasn't been cancelled/rescheduled - this is the third time. First appointment I showed up and was told it had been rescheduled, after a 45 minute drive to get there. Receptionist claimed that they had left a message but no messages on phone or text. They told me if I waited they could try and get me in. I waited and then was told the doctor was running later so couldn't fit me in. Then I got my reschedule date which was a month later. My feeling is that if they have to reschedule then they should fit you in timely. That also got rescheduled but luckily moved to a closer in time. The AM of this appointment, I received a text and message saying they were pushing it back 1.5 hours as the doctor had surgery. I contacted to find out if the new time was a guarantee because I had another commitment which I wouldn't make if the appointment got pushed any later in the day and I certainly didn't want to make the 45-minute drive without confirmation. Two voice messages and two texts - no response. Not impressed so far - doctors may be very competent and skilled, but if appointments keep getting rescheduled that is disrespectful to the customer as they have schedules too. And if receptionists don't return messages timely, that is pretty poor as well. read more

I did morpheus about a year ago! I havent even had the chance to let the doctor know but I dont even feel the need to get the crows feet around my eyes injected with filler anymore. WHAT! When you pay attention to your flaws they always stick out to you and I would know when my filler need to be redone just looking in my car mirror I would know needed to go get botox asap. Now I look in the mirror and smile and dont even pay attention to my crows feet wrinkles. My skin is plump, no sagging, no extra skin just naturally healthy. I used see the wrinkles in pictures and grainy lines on the cheeks below my eyes. It looked like sand to me before to the fine lines. It's just beautiful now. I stopped paying attention to crows feet and you never see it in a photo ever. It surprised me how good it looks. I have large beautiful eyes so my entire life I over examined my eye bags or wrinkles or darkness and now I dont need to over critique it or use botox. I've known Sean since we were kids in Kindergarten and then in college (Hook'em \m/) Anyway, I drove from Dallas to Austin to see the best eyelid surgeon in the world. Dr. Barbarino treated me for a meibomian cyst. She detailed the treatment options and talked with me about her recommendations, taking time to answer all my questions. We opted for a moderately conservative treatment and within a few days I saw a marked improvement. After a couple of weeks, the cyst was gone. I was referred to Dr Paul for the removal of a cyst on my eyelid. I haven't had many medical procedures and I was definitely feeling really nervous and had a fair amount of questions regarding how the procedure takes places, as well as, the recovery process. He was extremely thorough and explained the entire procedure in detail, reassuring me I wouldn't feel a thing. The big day came and went, and I'm 2 weeks post op with no scarring or issues! During the procedure, he made sure that I was comfortable, even putting on some music for me. Dr. Jeanie Lujan removed my forehead Osteoma that I have had to live with for the last 15 years. The staff was incredibly supportive, patient, professional and knowledgeable. and Dr. Lujan's bedside manner, empathy, and medical skill and knowledge in this area was superb. The whole procedure took 30 minutes and the result is remarkable! My forehead is flat and no more protruding bump in the middle of my forehead that I became very self conscious of. Dr. Lujan fielded countless questions from me prior to the surgery. I'm 61 years old and have only had one other surgery in my life-time so as you could imagine, I was extremely nervous. Dr. Lujan even took the time on several occasions to call me personally on the phone and discuss the procedure with me and personally answer my questions. Dr. Lujan allowed enough time to come in prior to the procedure and discuss with me what was about to happen and calm my nerves. After the procedure she took the time to go over the results and asked me if I was happy with the outcome. Dr. Lujan was incredibly careful about how she cut, where she cut, and how she closed the incision so not to leave any scaring. Dr. Lujan went above and beyond to handle not only the medical need, but my emotional needs; and her staff followed suit. I'd recommend AFB and Dr. Lujan a million times over for this type of procedure. Given her time and attention given to me and this type of procedure, I would trust her with any future face related procedure I would need or plan in the future. They didn't give any other options or take the time to really analyze where I thought the issues were.
