Nov 2023 Update: A car dealer in North Carolina subcontracted a detail job & damaged my clear coat. Austin Body Works repainted the entire top of my 2016 CT6. July 2023: I'm a car guy, have a pristine 2000 Z28 & 2016 CT6, so when someone recently scored my bumper by a wide swing I wanted to have it repaired properly. Fortunately, ABW is there to help. My family has had excellent results from them for the work that has been done there & today's result is the same - excellence. Loved our experience at Austin body works!! My friend and I were under pressure to get the car fixed asap as I was buying it from her before she moved states. They were as quick as possible considering everyone was in the shop for hail damage, communicative and so so caring. They were truly so understanding and empathetic for our situation. Austin Body Works Kyle did an amazing job in more ways than one. My wife's car was damaged by the driver of a business in their lot. They promised to fix her car and later sent an estimator to our home to inspect. The business said they wanted to pay "a fair amount" but their estimate was less than we hoped. Carey of ABW Kyle spoke with the business, then also worked with their estimator to be sure we were made whole for the damage done, that we received new parts, and trim was removed for painting rather than painting around it to give us a cut-no-corners job. New paint, old paint, you can't tell the difference. Whatever was behind the deepest dent I'd ever seen on a car, as well as around it, was taken care of. It's a pleasure to deal with a company that cares for you and your problem, is thoughtful and thorough, and does more work for you than anyone could expect. I unfortunately got hit and had damage on my fender and front lights on my Soul Red CX-5. I first went to Austin Body Works in Austin but it is so popular that the earliest date they could get me in was 3 months out. They suggested I go to their Kyle location which had an earlier appointment date. From the beginning, Carey and Chris were so welcoming and Chris gave me so much guidance about the whole insurance and repair process because I had never done this before. Carey is soo sweet. She made me feel like a relative was taking care of me. They had my car out in less than 3 weeks which was great because I had heard about the supply chain issues and expected it to be in there for months. Heard of Austin body works from a long time friend that used to work for them back in the 80s. This was my first body repair due to an accidental door ding. He told me they just opened the new Kyle location a few weeks prior and I should talk to Carey. Carey was amazing! She worked with the insurance company and was very transparent about the process and answered all of my questions. I was a little nervous because my truck is my baby and I wanted it to look factory new again. After only 7 days I got my truck back and it was beautiful!! Great paint and clear coat. No orange peel effect what so ever! Blending the color on the door was amazing. They even washed and waxed it! I will recommend everyone to use this business going forward. Ryan even gave me a little Isuzu truck because I'm such an Isuzu guy! This is how customer service should be everywhere. You will not be disappointed! read more

We chose Austin Body Works after talking with other area collision shops and finding them to be the easiest to communicate with. This turned out to be a prudent decision, as our repair took longer than predicted due to issues with the insurance (so shortstaffed it took 2 weeks to get an adjuster out) and supply issues with parts. Carey was incredibly persistent in continuing to move the needle and keeping us informed throughout. I'm certain it would have taken twice as long without her! Beyond pleased with the work Austin Body Works did on my Subaru. It had suffered a collision in both the front and the back, and it involved two different insurance companies. They made my Subaru look as good as new, and they did an incredible job interfacing with the insurance companies. Their communication was exceptional--they kept me in the loop throughout the process. Usually when you need to visit a body shop it is not by choice. It is a stressful situation and if you are lucky like I was, it was my first time dealing with getting my car fixed after a collision. Austin Body Works in Kyle is the place to go. I can't say enough about the amazing customer service, communication and patience to help me deal with the insurance company and walk me though every question I had. My Escalade had custom blacked out after market wrap on all of the trim and custom wheels that were damaged. When I picked my SUV up it looked better then the day I bought it, they even gave me an estimate and I paid out of pocket to fix some hail damage from before I bought it. My Escalade was done so fast even with all of the custom work and at a price that was more then fair. They worked with the car rental agency to have my car returned so all I had to do was pick mine up and go. Thank you Austin Body Works for turning what was such a negative experience into a positive one.
