As parents of a young child, we appreciated her knowledge of the local schools and school districts. As a local alumna and mother herself, she was able to provide us with current, first-hand experiences and a historical perspective. While touring homes she was excellent with our child, giving my wife and me uninterrupted time to view properties and deliberate. We relied on her knowledge of remodeling and renovations for cost estimates while shopping and recommended service providers after going under contract. Perhaps most importantly we always felt as though she was advocating on our behalf. She advised and negotiated for us. She earned my respect and trust by recommending that we walk away from a house during inspection negotiations when it would have been so easy for her to push through the deal and get her commission. I work under Coldwell Banker in Fort Collins and represented the buyer, and Jim works under Remax in Littleton, representing the seller. His seller was out of the country, and my buyer had three additional people on the loan and title, so communication was key in this transaction. Jim was great with email, but I was especially impressed that he would pick up the phone and just talk details out, whenever needed. This was the difference between a stressful mess and a calm, professional, business deal. I enjoyed working with Jim so much that I asked him to come up to Fort Collins to fill the CB managing broker vacancy. Thank you, Jim!

He never returned repeated emergency calls and texts an hour before final closing (as his sellers did not vacate property & they had no clue they were to be out at possession/closing). My realtor was at the property all morning dealing with HIS clients. He never stopped by to help. I was absolutely floored with how Mr. Shackles handled this entire mess.

We were able to get top dollar (over asking price), which we were thrilled with. Buying our new Centennial home provided some challenges as well. In 2014 (similar to the current 2017 Denver housing market) it was a busy home market with low inventory, but Brandon helped us game plan for the area we truly wanted to buy in and helped us navigate through the competitive process. After our first few attempts at offers on homes were outbid, we were finally able to find the perfect home for us and get it under contract. This year, when my Dad decided to sell his home after living in it for over 30 years, he also worked with Brandon as his selling agent. Brandon helped my Dad and I organize clean up of that house, as well as coordinate handy men, cleaning people, and more to get the home ready for sale. Then once under contract, Brandon caught a mistake by the buyer's agent as well as a mistake with the home appraisal, and helped fix both issues quickly in order to keep the contract in tact. Those efforts also helped get my Dad's home sold on schedule and for top dollar. We would work with Brandon again and recommend him to assist others with their home buying or selling needs.
