The store is clean and well kept. They have all of the blue collar brands (Ariat, Carhartt etc). However, the service consistently stinks. The installers scratched the side panel and did not install the lid properly. Took months of hounding to get it fixed. Today I called to see if they had replacement parts on hand or would need to order, as I don't want to waste an hour driving for nothing. Even after providing a serial number I was told I'd have to bring the part in for them to be sure. Really? Do you know your inventory? To top it off, my husband called in an hour later, and they looked it up--no problem. I won't deal with Splash City again.

Chatted with John and the owner Peter (both genuinely solid dudes) about snowboarding, gear we love and gear we don't, with zero sales pressure. Just honest and real rider to rider conversation. The customer service was so good I brought my whole setup in to have it looked over after some upgrades I made. No upselling, no BS just real feedback, genuine care and knowledge. I also watched them help another customer get into a more fitting board for them, not just letting the customer get what they thought they needed. That says everything They listen, they educate and they give you the best deal they can while making sure you're riding safely and correctly. Beginner or experienced, it doesn't matter. They'll fit your boots, dial in your setup, and make sure your gear is safe and enhancing your ride experience. I also bring my mountain/road bikes here for tune-ups and the experience is always top notch. This is what a local shop should be and the kind we need to support more. They will always look out for YOUR best interest.

This could have been avoided if there was some sort of bubble wrap or package wrap inside the box to protect the inside board during transportation. Inside of the shipping box (made of two separate boxes) only contained the board where it was able to move freely around without any support or padding inside. If this is your standard operating procedure for shipping, please do better. Now I have to submit a claim with UPS for the item I was very looking forward to all year.
