I walked in and they were pleasant to start, when I asked if they had minnows and night crawlers. They pointed to their left the young gentleman came out and walked over to the tank as if he was going to help me with the purchase of the bait. But when I looked in the tank most of the minnows were dead and the ones that were alive were looking not that lively, the clerk said something about not having a shipment lately, and walked away. Then I went to the worms , the first box when I opened it all were dead and there was mold on the top of them. There were 10 to 12 boxes stacked neatly in side the refrigerator so I sat that one aside. Then I looked in the next worm box and it was the same as the first one. I looked in each box and they all were the same. At that point I looked at the other clerk who was standing behind the counter helping another customer all she said was yes we know. At that point I just left and went to another bait shop. It was out my way. Needless to say I won't be going back there for my fish bait.

I got pissed and told him I'd return with the $. 60. When I returned I told him I wanted a receipt, which he reluctantly provided. I then told him that I was a 1st time customer, but because of the way he handled this situation, I was now a last time customer, to which he replied "we don't need customers like you"! Nuff said!

The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. Their service department is top notch, and they've always got a good inventory and quality product lines to choose from whether it's SCUBA gear or model rockets. You may be able to find better deals, but I guarantee you will not find better personalized service or product knowledge. I can also vouch that their dive trips on the Missouri are excellent, especially if you're a sportsman. I picked up spearfishing several years ago and its just about as much fun as you can have in the water, short of ocean diving. Sioux Falls is lucky to have a Dive Shop of this caliber. Bill Donovan, the owner and lead instructor, has got just about every rank you can get in the recreational SCUBA world. There are not very many dive shops in the country where you can do your open water certification all the way to being an instructor yourself. Whether you want to learn to dive for tropical vacations or dive the area's lakes and rivers, Donovan's is the best shop to do it with.
