She made me feel like a member of the family, and she made sure I met the right people. My sales rep, Paul, was so friendly and helpful. Great smile! Vito was very nice and ready to help if needed. GO UKRAINE!!! All of the folks in the Parts Department were very nice. I found all the customers to be friendly and chatty as well. There was only one disappointment.... Looked at trading in our camper and they claim they found several issues and lowered the trade in value by $7,500. My favorite issue was the tires were shot. The problem with that was, the tires were brand new and had 80 miles on them and were 2 weeks old. I asked what was wrong and they said the tires had been over inflated or under inflated. I asked which one is it because the tires would wear differently depending on the over or under, they couldn't answer that question. Then while moving our camper to the shop with the forklift the driver bounced it off the ball (wasn't latched) and dropped the camper and bending the jack. When we said we would not be trading it in the salesman just shrugged his shoulders when I asked if they were replacing the jack that they had just broke right in front of us. The next best part was, they were already putting stickers on the camper for the lot and had our license plate taken off. 100% a joke of a company. read more

Camping World and their refusal to provide required financing disclosures unless I first submit a copy of my driver's license, I inquired about financing terms for a 2026 Keystone Coleman 13R. I explicitly requested a breakdown of the APR, estimated monthly payments, dealer incentives, and out-the-door pricing, as is my right under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and FTC advertising regulations. Instead of honoring that request, multiple sales staff, including Management refused to provide this basic financial information unless I first provided my driver's license. I repeatedly explained I was on a fixed SSDI income and needed to confirm whether the deal was feasible before disclosing more personal ID. After referencing my rights under TILA and asking for the manager's information, communication abruptly stopped. Alls well that ends well I guess. We had a routine bearing job done by a trusted truck and trailer shop before heading to Sioux Falls. On the way, The dust cover came off and fell inside the hub on 1 of the wheels. We couldn't get it out. So, we went to Camping World in Sioux Falls hoping to have the wheel removed so the hub could be put back in working order. They did an estimate with an eye towards submitting it to Forest River as a warranty repair. The estimate was for $750 for a double axel bearing pack including the usual inspections and they wanted to replace all the hubs, etc. I'm standing there reading the service prices on a monitor behind the desk as we talk and I see that the double axel bearing job for $369. The service advisor tells me the bearings are over greased and it's everywhere on the wheels. I asked if they took all the wheels off and checked them and was told no. The estimate was based on dirt and grime on the wheels. When i asked about our original service request, I was it would cost $300 and they had to order the parts. I asked if they could call around Sioux Falls for the parts and was told no one had them. Next day I called around and found a local truck and trailer shop that would do the repair for $50 plus parts which they had on hand for another $25, so $75. I called Camping World and asked to cancel the order, I had found the parts and would be going elsewhere. The service advisor told me it was too late to cancel. I would have to take the parts for $30 plus shipping and pay $40 for the bogus estimate, but I could have them do it for $175. We ended up having them do the repair but I don't mind telling you we were concerned about them working on our RV with so much friction between us and the service advisor. The bright spot in all this was a service advisor or associate that check us in and was aware of the happenings. Her name was Liz. I have no doubt that she spoke to the service advisor, Dave, as his attitude changed for the better on the day the work was done. They also submitted a warranty claim for replacing our air conditioner. The work done at the same time and we were satisfied with both jobs. read more

I visited Camping World in the Sioux Falls, Empire Mall location several weeks ago. I informed the saleslady after viewing dozens of campers, that I wasn't going to make a decision until late April or May AT THE EARLIEST. She claimed not to have a business card and asked for my #. I gave it to her emphasizing late April or May when she asked if she could call. She called me the following week. I repeated once again that I didn't want to be bothered until late April or May. Last week a salesman from Camping World called asking if I was still interested. I was eating and informed him I didn't want to be bothered until late April or May. I got yet another call today. If you don't want to be bothered by pushy sales people who don't respect your wishes, stay away from Camping World, a place I will never, ever do business with after this business. read more

I took my RV in for three things in the fall of 2020, the main slide was down 1 inch on one end on the drivers side, the steps would go in and out but would bang several times and the metal covers on the three slide awning needed to be replaced. The dealership that I bought it from said they would pay for the new covers. After 6 weeks they told me the main slide was a floor level slide so it was okay yet it was only floor level on one end. Not true.I found the slide had a broken roller. I told them the motor on the steps was good so it only needed the main board. They replaced both ( cost $900). They ordered the awning covers which they provided the cost to the previous dealer and they paid. Once they received them they said they needed to be painted and it would cost me $1200. This was now 6 months later. I told them I would take care of it my self and went and got the RV. I found out once I got them painted that my rig had brushed aluminum covers and the covers would not work on my awnings. Now the steps stopped working and I called Lippert support and found out the motor that was installed was the wrong motor for my steps. The one they put in the gear shaft would not fit into the proper slot so they just tightened up bolts bending the plate out of shape. Also when I got it home I found that after sitting for so long it probably wouldn't start so they threw in an old 12v battery. I called them several times but recieved no response. Do not go to this place for repairs of any kind on your RV. read more

A sign when you go into Camping World says " If you're not happy. I'm not happy." Marcus Lemonis I am not very happy with this place. We purchased our NeW fifth wheel in Cedar Falls Camping world because they had the model we wanted on hand. We really like the camper. They said we could have warrenty work done at any Camping World. 2 of our hydraulic jacks leaked the first time out. We called Camping World in Sioux Falls -and we had to make an appt for them to look at it and then make an appt to fix it. We live 50 miles away. JULY 5--So we decided to wait until we were finished camping for the season. They knew we needed new jacks. So then we had an appt to bring in the camper September 28, 2020 They said it should be done in 2 weeks. We called October 18 and they said the parts were in and it should be ready October 28 or 29. --that is 4 weeks WE called November 10 and they said they only had 1 jack in. November 24 we called they said jacks were in November 29 they called and said it should be done December 3 December 9 they called and said they could not get them to work December 15 they called and it was finished So the camper was there September 28 -December 15 Do you really think it should take professionals that long to replace 2 jacks??? The camper is in storage right now so I hope next spring they work properly. We asked and they said the new ones would not be under warranty. We went in a week ago to buy a travel trailer. They scheduled me in for a pick up a few days later and to start off the salesman wasn't their. Another person stepped in to tell me the financing wasn't passed yet but they sure took the deposit. I had to drive 2 hours just to get there and another 2 to get back home. Then they told me they are keeping the deposit for a few days then they will send it back after 10 business days. They are severely unorganized and unprofessional. What ticked me off even more is that once I was getting home the salesman called me asking for my social security card for the financing to pass not even knowing I had an issue with whoever was at the store today. They lied to our faces! In a very friendly manner, they gave false assurances. After the service manager gave me his solemn word - unsolicited at that - that he would ensure the utmost care, concern, and respect for my "home", they left it parked, completely ignored, with the slides and doors hanging open to let in varmints! The repairs should have been done in a couple weeks, a month, tops! During the repairs, we called numerous times, asking for updates on progress. We were 'informed' of different stages of progress with each call (parts ordered, worked started, etc.). Finally, we were told it was done but after driving nearly 1,200 miles to pick it up, we discovered that nothing had even been started on it! The minor repair of a shelf inside had not begun. The assurances that they were checking on propane to keep our freezer running was a complete lie. Food thawed, rotted and then stunk up trailer - only to attract more pests! Dealing with slow or incompetent service is one thing. We feel deceived by them after false reports on status checks. This is exactly the type of neglect that will lead to an early demise of an RV!! We are full time RV'ers, this is our home, and Jeff, the service manager knew this. We have been truly homeless for a month and will be for another or more due to the neglect of this "service" department. This RV repair is costing us a lot more than parts and labor. read more

We bought a brand new $20,000+ camper from them last year. First trip out with it the hot water heater didn't work and the seal on the slide failed. Called in and we drove it to Sioux Falls. They said it was fixed and nope not so much. Another trip on of a wheel bearing was over heating and they couldn't find anything. Last trip down to their service center it was there for several weeks and now we got the camper out to prepare for our first trip of the season and the hot water heater quite. ‍ We will be going somewhere else to have it looked at. Over $20,000 and we don't even have a dependable hot water heater and we aren't positive we won't catch fire from an overheated wheel bearing. They're great and all sweet friendly helpful in the sales portion but their service it awful. If I could give less than one star I would. read more

i recently bought a motorhome from the souix falls lot. At first everything seemed to be great tyhey were veryt helpful in finding the coach and then getting it approved.We had thoght we were getting a 31 ft one but it was sold right out from underneth us even with a large deposit.. they then found a 34 ft one which isnt what we wanted but the sales people were adimate that it would suit our needs. they said they had it all checked out and that everything was fine with it except that it would need tires. we went ahead and purchesed it and our first trip was to okc the coach was all over the road but we assumed it was the tires we spent 4000.00 on the tires and that didnt help. had to put shocks on it ,front end alignment. then went to calif to see family the ac quit,fridge quit and was still all over the road.. all in all we have spent in excess of14000.00 since we bought it i would advise anyone looking for a motorhome to stay away from this company they will lie and cheat you to make a sale. As of today no one has returned any phone call from me.there are a lot of other camper lots out there check them all out before even looking at camping world read more

Absolutely horrible service. We bought a brand new camper from Camping World and have had several fixes and repairs. The repairs weren't as much of a concern as the service. We could never get a hold of a person to talk to regarding the status of repairs, and the only time we got answered was when we showed up in person after weeks of waiting (during the camping season). Finally when we got it back, I had an expensive speaker stolen. Now it is getting repaired again and it's the same poor service. Next time I'll spend more money at a better place with better service. Their initial customer service was excellent - great response time, friendly, informative. Our situation was a bit odd - we had bought a new camper last year and wanted to "downgrade" to something that was bigger with more features, but older and slightly cheaper. Due to the nature of buying a new trailer and trying to sell it only a year later, it had depreciated much faster than we'd paid off thus far (similar to the old adage about driving a new car off the lot and it instantly losing 25% of it's value.) We have average credit, nothing special, so knew with the trade in being less than what we owed on our current camper, the numbers may not work out. They didn't. Fair enough. I was a bit annoyed though that we drove all the way up there after filling out everything in advance, including an estimate for our trade in, so that they could look at it all in advance and then they didn't look at any of it until we were there anyways. This was especially annoying after being told by another associate that they would look into the financing beforehand so that we didn't make a trip up for nothing. Clearly not. Here's my issue though - they couldn't approve us for a loan for a nice used $10K camper that wouldn't initially depreciate, but somehow they could magically approve us for another brand new camper for double that amount, just for it to depreciate quickly again the second we drove it off the lot and us to be stuck in the same situation as before, but with an additional balance from our current camper rolled into it. How on earth would that make sense? To me this seems like the same predatory type of lending used at the "no credit check" car places. They won't approve you for a sensible, reasonable car, but will somehow approve you for one double what you wanted to pay. Luckily, unlike a vehicle, a camper is not a necessity so there's no urgency needed and we'll just keep our current camper for the time being. My second problem was with the salesman. While he initially came off as friendly and straight forward, I quickly felt condescended to. He told us how he is a financial advisor besides a sales associate, and used that to seem very "chummy" and "offering friendly advice." As a fellow salesman, I see the approach he was trying to use I guess, but the whole thing just came off very scammy when combined with the fact that they were trying to get us upside down in a new loan for more than we wanted, all while "advising us" that he was trying to look out for us. It came off less sympathetic, and more just greasy. Maybe I just am misunderstanding the situation, but overall it just felt sleazy. I definitely got the old slicked back car salesman vibe; just wrapped up in a fancy new dealership look. While everything looked good on the surface, I don't think I would do business there whether financing elsewhere or not. read more

I recently bought a used motorhome and had a "wonderful" trip thru the Minnesota floods, detours and rains. I lost one of my AC covers and pulled into Spaders 15 minutes before closing. Being a new owner of a used RV, I did not have the books nor the info as to exactly what I had on the roof. They were more than helpful, even coming out to look at my motorhome. They had a new cover in stock and because they were so helpful, they ended up closing late. That is my kind of service. If I lived in the area I would make them my full time service crew. read more

If you want to BUY a camper, this place is great. HOWEVER - if you want service after the sale, RUN! Run as far away from this place as fast as you can! One week after buying our brand new camper it had a major issue with it. Called Camping World in Sioux Falls and there was "no record of us having purchased a camper there." So many phone calls go unreturned. No one knows the status of getting the camper fixed, yadda yadda. The whole time looking at their campers and through signing papers it was all "aren't you excited about your new camper?" We were! They told us how they wanted us to spread the word and send people their way. We did until that first time of it needing repairs. One good thing I can say about our experience with camping world is that they gave us bottles of water since it was hot outside. Maybe other Camping Worlds are better but the service after the sale at the one in Sioux Falls is HORRIBLE. I can't stress that enough. Plus when you have them fix something - they may fix that, but will break a couple other things in the process (I.e., screwing the wall in so hard the wall cracks). We are convinced Derek is the only one there who truly tries to make things right. But you can't run a business with only one person caring about the customers. read more

Pretty disappointed in the level of customer service here. I've been calling Camping World in Sioux Falls for over a month, trying to get a replacement cupboard door for our unit. Each time I call, I'm transferred to their Warranty specialist, but nobody ever answers. I leave detailed messages, but nobody ever returns my calls. I was able to speak with the Warranty specialist once, and she assured me that she would follow up in the next day or two. That was two weeks ago, and I have tried to call back, only to be transferred to voicemail as always, without anyone EVER returning my calls. After spending over $70k on a camper, I would expect a certain level of customer service. My future purchases will certainly not be made through Camping World. read more
