We've used Aussie's Pet Service in the past with our previous dogs and never had any issues. The groomers were always prompt and took great care of our pups. However, it had been about four years since we last used their services, and after recently adopting a new dog, we decided to schedule with them again. The scheduling process took a bit of time, but Kevin, who handled appointments via text, was helpful and got us set up. Unfortunately, a few days before our appointment, Kevin let me know they needed to reschedule due to van maintenance, which I completely understood. The problem was that on the new appointment day, the groomer never showed up. I waited and sent Kevin a message 30 minutes past the scheduled time, and again after an hour, but received no response. My last message to him after the hour of no show I expressed how disappointing the experience was and asked to be removed from their email list. Hours later, Kevin replied with, "He never arrived?" and that was the last I heard. No apology or follow-up. Sadly, after such an unprofessional and frustrating experience, I won't be using Aussie's Pet Service again. read more

The groom itself was okay.. I'm more worried about the customer service with this company. Upon arrival the groomer opened the truck up with lots of dog hair from her previous grooming session. We had to recommend waiting until she cleaned before our dog went in the truck ( dog was only 3 months at the time, slightly worried about her catching something ) but she kept insisting that she can clean around the dog. That for me was a big no! Strike two was our dog having a severe ear infection after the groom. I reached out to the owner and instead of either taking accountability ( I mentioned to him that the van was not clean and we also checked her ears prior to the groom, they looked fine!), or even offering some sort of sympathy, he continuously placed the blame on us and said that any reputable vet( we took our dog to the vet immediately, and they advised that the infection probably came from her groom 2 days prior) would never say our dog got this ear infection from a groom, etc etc, overall just a bunch of rude replies. Let me be clear... I was using Aussie since the pandemic around 2020. With my furbaby piglet . When I first started using them they where great . Used them about 2 years. A year before she passed . It started getting choppy. No call ,no shows. Late arrivals or rescheduling because the " van " was down. Because I wasn't familiar with MOBILE groomers. And I loved the convenience. Every groomer I've ran into said , mobile groomer or not. I was getting burned and over charged by them . Because my baby was only 18 pounds with straight hair ( low grooming maintenance) they where charging me $145. And I use to throw in a 10-20.00 tip . They said for her size and low maintenance that was overrated.. I am only leaving this review .Because I now have another furbaby after piglet passed a year ago. And I was looking for a groomer. I noticed in these reviews the SAME ISSUES.. Lateness, rescheduling, no call no shows. Etc. Im not sure what happened but in the beginning they where great. Besides the fee. And I am not cheap lol I know mobile cost more but people was questioning that price when I was using them lol knowing she was a low maintenance breed. So im definitely strolling past them . The company has mixed reviews, but I've used them twice now with different groomers and both times I am extremely pleased. I have an Australian shepherd that gets groomed in the summer when her undercoat blows out. All I ask is for a bath, the blow out, and some hair trimmed around her toes, privates, and her hocks. She usually has some locks behind her ears and they're real careful about cutting or shaving it off. Both times I've used them my dog comes out 5 pounds lighter and no more undercoat. She looks great and comfortable. I should also mention that my dog is a farm dog and spends most of the time laying in dirt and hay and swimming in lakes. Her mess is no match for them! Lastly, I love that they know how to treat breeds differently and understand double coated canines shouldn't get their fur cut. The absolute worst cat grooming I have ever seen - the haircut is so bad and choppy , a child could have done a better job. On top of it they charged $ 150 . I should tell you right off the bat that Aussie (Emily) groomed my kitten/cat, Moee, not a dog. However, my review applies equally to dogs as it does to cats, because how a groomer approaches an animal, especially a kitten or pup who is being groomed for the very first time, can affect how he or she reacts to grooming for his or her lifetime. This is important because there are very few groomers who will even look at a cat, much less groom one. I do have to say that Moee is an incredibly good door-dasher, and when Emily arrived at 4:00pm, at the end of a long day, the first thing she did was put herself between Moee and the hallway and allow him to get to know her. Moee is definitely a friendly sort, so she got down on his level and allowed him to get to know her. While he rubbed up against her she not only used that time to get acquainted, but to feel where the hairballs were (there were several), for any sore spots (there were none) and the length of his claws (very long and far more than usual). I should say that, at just one year of age (July 25, 2021) Moee weighs in at 18.2 pounds (he is a Maine Coon cat), is polydactyl (23 toes, as opposed to the usual 18), and has an extremely long, thick, and slightly oily, coat . So, Moee had all of his hairballs shaved off, all of his toenails clipped (I had been so nervous that I had forgotten to give Emily a heads up on the extra toes) and he had a bath. He came home wet, but combed, because he had had enough of being groomed for one day. However, he was none the worse for wear, so I put towels out on the rug in places where Moee would most likely spend his time grooming himself, and that is exactly what he did. Having gotten Moee settled, Emily gave me a blow-by-blow of what she did, of what Moee did, what he liked, what he didn't like and basically how things went. Most important, Would I would have Moee groomed again? Yes, in a heartbeat! Is this grooming expensive? You bet it is! Was Moee better off for having been groomed? Absolutely! Once those hairballs get started, they can cause the cat pain as they start to pull at the skin, especially long-haired cats. When I was younger, I used to bathe all of my cats. However, having gotten older, and hopefully wiser, I have decided that I will use a portion of my fixed income toward keeping my cat clean and heathy, and yes, it is a health issue, especially for long-haired cats. I used this service twice. The first time was great and I was very happy with the groomer and the way my pet was groomed. The second appointment was not so great. The groomer was not only late, but she ignored my requests on how my dog was to be groomed. She pretty much just shaved her down so closely that I had to take my pet to the vet due to skin irritations from the cut. While at the vet's visit, my vet checked my dog's​ ears and was appalled at the amount of hair left in her ears after supposedly being groomed. I got my Persian cat groomed by them and was impressed. They gave her a bath, and a lions cut. They drive over to your home for your appointment and basically do all the grooming in their van. I felt like the process was pretty painless and my cat came out looking cleaner and neater. The gentleman I set the appointment with was professional and helpful! As there are no evening appointments I even went as far to take off from work in the morning in order to fit Lava being cleaned into my schedule and was told there was only a 7am or 8:30am appointment. I have used Aussie pet groomers twice. I have a little chihuahua Pomeranian rescue puppy named Sheina Maidel who had never been used to grooming. She was afraid the first time but Cate was so sweet and gentle with her This time Sheina jumped into her arms and got the best grooming ever! She looks adorable and smells great. If only there was a way to leave zero stars. First the scheduled appointment was cancelled because there was something wrong with the van. Rescheduled which was appreciated but now really regret. Groomer arrived l gave her a picture of the haircut I wanted and noted she has some mats in her front legs. She said she could keep the body long however would probably have to shave her legs and she could definitely do her face the way it was in the picture and I said that would be good but I would like to keep her ears a little longer then the picture. I also told her that if she had to cut her body closer to not cut it so short that you could see her skin and I do not want her shaved. When the groomer brought her back in her entire body and ears were shaved. Her hair on her tail was cut short. Nothing we discussed prior to going into the van was done. My dog looked horrible. My dog is a 10 month old Havanese and she was white and apricot Havanese do not usually keep there color so I was trying to keep the coloring in her ears for as long as I could and it is now gone. (I brushed her ears prior to them coming with a steel comb). When I called Kevin he said there were more mats found and they had to shave her. If they had to do anything other then we discussed they should have talked to me. I would not of allowed them to cut her like that. She is shaved so close to her skin we will have to be careful about her skin burning and we have cancelled our plans to go away next week because we will be hiking and outdoors and don't want her to get burnt. Kevin stated that the groomer called him and told him she was going to have to shave our dog and he said if she was matted she had to. NO! that is when you stop call the client or take the dog back in and tell the client prior to doing everything they asked you not to do. He also said well once we are in the van we do what is needed. So we paid $100 to have them make our puppy look like a 15 year dog or a Chinese crested. Ruin two upcoming vacations or cost us additional money we will now have to pay to have a dog sitter stay with her. So don't let your dog go into the van unless they have NO knots in there hair and you want them completely shaved. Well she did leave enough hair for a top knot that if you take the band out looks like a crooked mohawk. So as crazy as it looks with no hair she will have to keep the top knot in till the hair grows out. Kevin did offer a free grooming next time........ Absolutely not! Hoping this review prevents others from having this happen. Havanese have a double coat and should never be shaved vet just informed me I should not take her on vacation she is too susceptible to getting burnt. Really expensive grooming appt . read more

Don't expect your poodle to get a quality grooming experience with aussie pets. I had the worst experience ever. During the pandemic brick & mortar locations were closed, but I researched and turned to Aussie Pets, to groom my toy poodle. My initial interactions were pleasant, I made an appointment seamlessly and was told that my groomer had, "14 years of experience and could do anything." I felt confident with my appointment. I showed the groomer a picture of the look I was going for, and she assured me that she could achieve this look. I was told the service would be an hour, she was finished in less than 40 minutes. My toy poodle looked INSANE, she was injured, crying and licking her paw and her hair was butchered to say the least, when i picked her up. On one foot every nail was bleeding, my 4 month old puppy literally limped. I could see if you cut one nail too short, but 4?! Just proved that she was rushing. THE CUT, The Cut, the cut. She literally cut my dogs hair at sharp angles, she gave my dog a "kid n' play gumbi". She blamed my dog for having a "cowlick" when you can see in previous pictures her hair wasn't leaning to any particular side. She literally cut a chunk out of her hair. The cut wasn't even REMOTELY what we discussed, she cut uneven "chaps" on the hind legs of my dog, she cut her muzzle like a schnauzer. Under my dogs ears were still wet, my dog got an ear infection, there was still blood on her paws. it. was. a. disaster. I was devastated. once I called the owner with the disappointment, he said "yes cutting the nails too short to where they bleed, happens.", with 14 years of experience?? "we can offer you an appointment with our BEST GROOMER." i asked for your best groomer initially. the service provided and the customer service after was SUBPAR to say the least. I will NEVER use their service again, and I suggest unsuspecting customers look elsewhere or wait until the quality groomers reopen to have your loved one groomed. She's always on time and great with my little guy who is high strung, scared of everything and can be difficult. Had my 2 year old golden retriever groomed today. I rarely leave yelp reviews because I'm pretty chill, but this needs one. I am honestly so baffled at the good reviews. Let's start off with the good, they were on time and helped me get my dog into the van. Now on to the bad. At first glance my dog looked clean and fluffy and smelled better than he did before he got in the van. So i paid my money and she left. Then I noticed only the front nails were trimmed, and only a few of them, the back were not trimmed at all, the paw pads were not trimmed in the slightest, I just had to spend 20 minutes doing it myself which I don't have appropriate scissors for so it didn't go all that well, there were knots behind his ears that were not brushed out and it cost $112. Basically $112 for a shampoo! Needless to say, I will be looking around for better grooming services. This was the WORST grooming he has ever had. I am so ticked at myself for paying before doing a thorough inspection. Lesson learned. read more
