Being the last stop on the route has some perks - you can come early to board the train and pretty much pick any seat you want. You can also sleep and not worry about missing your stop. The BNSF Metra train to Chicago Union Station operates out of this station. There are 2 daily parking lots and I have been able to find plenty of parking at the lot that's off of Lincoln. Prior to 8am, there seems to be plenty of parking. Around noon, there are still a few spots left in the lot. Parking cost $2/day and you just type your license plate number into the machine and insert bills, quarters or credit card (extra fee applies when using credit) and you get a printed receipt. There's a tunnel from that lot that goes right to the train. One-way ticket to Chicago Union Station is $8 and the 10-ride cost $72. Weekend unlimited ride costs $8. If you want to buy ticket at this station, there's a short term parking area right in front of the building. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . What a great way to get into the city from the far western suburbs. The Aurora Transportation is just the ticket with ample parking and easy access on and off the trains. The Aurora stop is the last (or first) stop on the trek to and from Chicago and Metra offers a very safe, quick and inexpensive way to get to the city. Monthly parking is tough to get onsite but there are neighboring lots across the street that had available passes for very reasonable rates. It sure beats the traffic especially with all the construction going on now on the Eisenhower! When you return home, the "Roundhouse" is even onsite where you stop in for a drink or meal. There are also a few small businesses such as a barber shop and coffee shop for your convenience. Whether you're commuting to the city for work or heading down for pleasure, the train can be the way to go!

A really nice place to grab Metra. Wish there were more options for eating but the traffic doesn't support it.

I actually like this place because parking is usually easy and it's close the the Two Bros Roundhouse.

For what I was looking for, they offered the best pricing, and I assumed they would know the area as their office was close to our destinations. Over the phone for the booking, I felt like they took a lot of notes for the details/requests. I had a couple of things that did cause some frustration. 1. Multiple charges to my credit card. (They accidentally charged me for each quote instead of the final amount) It took several calls and emails to get them to refund the overcharge payment. 2. Upon booking, I was given one driver's contact information. As I was trying to organize wedding guests, I provided the original driver contact information to guests. A different driver called me the day of the event. It didn't appear that he received all of the notes for the event. As I was in the midst of being busy with wedding prep, my maid of honor took control to get everything/everyone organized . Another positive: The car we booked was the car received. The car was clean, and everyone got to/from the event safely. Driver was friendly.

She never called back, & after talking with her 3 times & hearing multiple excuses she finally said that the trolley WOULDNT BE COMING because the driver didn't show & there were no back up drivers. She was NOT apologetic, offered NO compensation beyond a refund (even when we offered to reschedule if given some compensation/incentive, like one free hour), & when told that the party was ruined she retorted "Well how do you think I FEEL?! What about ME?! This is MY BUSINESS!" Incredibly unprofessional. We made the best of the party & set off on foot... but all I could think was, what if it had been a WEDDING?! Consider this a fair warning...

I rent a Trolley every year for a big Labor Day/Birthday event, and this year I used The Trolley…read moreCar & Bus Company as the trolley provider. Unfortunately, the experience was dismal - mostly due to the horrifying customer service I received in working with the owner, Steve Hudson. The ride went smoothly - all the guests had a blast and at the end of the night we thanked the driver and provided him with a tip. I had received an email from Steve the following week letting me know that I owed additional money because my guests had broken a seat on the trolley. I was not aware of any damage to the trolley, as I was never notified of anything broken at the end of my ride. It is the company's job to notify me of any damages at the end of the night, so I can sign off on them. However, that did not happen in this case, and Steve had given me a lot of grief when I pushed back asking for proof of the damage given that I was never made aware the night of the event. In fact, when Steve had reached out originally he had already assumed that I knew about the damages. When I told him that I did not, he thought that I was making this up and was accusing him of pulling a fast one on me to try to get more money. Additionally, when all I asked from him was proof, he deferred to just making me pay for all the revenue lost on the truck while it was getting its seat fixed, and even threatening to take me to court - rather than just following in suit to my ask and providing me the sufficient evidence I deserve. Given that Steve is the owner of a business where he is servicing customers, you would expect that he would understand the mantra that the "customer is always right" and comes first. I did not ask much from him, just proof that the trolley I had rented out was the one that had a broken seat - since I was not pointed this out after the ride had ended. Right off the bat he retaliated to give me a hard time, with unacceptable tone, manner, and actions. Please refer to the below communication I had with him to show how rude and unacceptable his treatment was of this situation. I do not recommend the Trolley Car & Bus Company at all. The owner does not deserve anyone's business if he is going to treat his customers with complete disregard as he did with me. If you are considering to rent a trolley in Chicago, please consider other companies as I do not want anyone to have to deal with Steve in the way I have had to. Danielle Levin dannilevin@gmail.com Sep 4 Hello, Thank you for informing me of the situation. I actually did not know that there was damage to the trolley - the driver did not point anything out, and I did a check at the end of the night and saw no damage or broken items. This is the first I'm hearing of any issues. Because I did not see any type of damage, I am not willing to pay the fee until I see photographic proof of the situation that also proves it is directly from the trolley I rented. I do not want to be difficult, but as I said, this is the first I'm hearing of this and your email makes it sound as if I was already aware. Thanks for your cooperation. I hope we can get this resolved. Danni Steve Hudson steve@trolleycar.net Sep 4 You know every time I try to resolve an issue like this I get grief. Forget my original email and invoice. We will take the vehicle out of service and have the damage repaired by the dealer. You will be responsible for revenues lost while the vehicle is in the dealer and they will of course charge more than I would have. Deals off. You think I just picked you to charge 65.00! Danielle Levin dannilevin@gmail.com Sep 5 Hi Steve, I just left you a message on your phone to try and sort this out. I signed that sheet at the beginning of the night, not at the end. When I signed it, there was nothing written about a broken seat. I did not know anything about a broken seat, had not seen any evidence of it, nor was told by the driver about it before signing anything. I'm not trying to be a pain here, I just don't feel comfortable paying without being aware of or seeing clear evidence of something that is broken. Thanks, Danni Steve Hudson steve@trolleycar.net Sep 6 I almost closed this file and simply considered the matter a misunderstanding and then listened to your message. You didn't sign, that's not your signature, you signed it in the beginning of the evening and "broken seat" wasn't noted. Here's how I see it. Seat was not broken at 10:00 p.m. and was found broken at 1:00 a.m. You have a very unique D in your signature so clearly it's your signature. I was unable to reach your driver yesterday and will not see him until Saturday. I have asked him to write out the timeline and description of person who signed his paperwork...
