My husband was in this facility. Horrible place. Ignorant nurse's aides. Filthy rooms and total neglect to the patients.

MY FIRST REVIEW WAS TAKEN DOWN.. RED FLAG FOR THIS FACILITY!…read moreMy mother was specifically admitted to Twinsburg Post Acute to receive wound care and physical therapy. The wound was ordered to be treated every 2 days. Despite this, she was not seen by the wound physician for an entire week after admission. I had to personally contact a supervisor to ask why she had not been evaluated. I was assured the doctor would see her that day as she is only there one day a week. However, the physician was in fact leaving the facility without having seen my mother at all. Thankfully my brother happened to be present and stopped the doctor as she was leaving; otherwise, my mother would not have been seen at all that day. In addition to this, communication with the facility has been extremely problematic. When I called, I was unable to reach anyone directly or leave a message. This made it impossible to advocate for my mother or address urgent concerns. There have also been serious safety issues. On two separate occasions my mother pressed her call button requesting assistance to use the restroom and was left unattended for approximately two hours. After receiving no response, I had no choice but to contact the local police non-emergency line to request a wellness check. Only after police arrived did staff respond. This is deeply concerning and presents a significant risk to patient safety and dignity. Furthermore, my mother was yelled a by an aide (Rhoda) after we had to complain about a strong urine odor coming from a room across the hall, which was so overpowering that it permeated her room. Rather than addressing the sanitation issue, she responded by disrespectfully yelling at her. Regarding the wound care, despite clear orders for treatment every two days, this care was not provided consistently. I had to repeatedly escalate concern and " hold their feet to the fire" before staff finally addressed her wound. Delayed care places my mother at serious risk of further complications. Another very concerning situation was the nurse that had administered an IV with fluid to address dehydration. However, the nurse that inserted the needle inserted it into her abdomen rather than a proper IV site. The fluids began to immediately leak onto her bed. Despite this, staff only changed the bedding and did not remove or properly address the misplaced line. The nurse then instructed my mother to lie flat on her back for 10 hours and was not allowed to move. This instruction was neither appropriate nor medically justified and caused her significant discomfort and distress. The handling of this situation was unprofessional and did not meet acceptable standards of care. The overall environment at this facility reflects a lack of care, accountability, professionalism, and basic respect for patients. The repeated failures in medical care, responsiveness, communication, and staff conduct have caused my family extreme concern and distress. The level of care provided was so unacceptable that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this facility to anyone. They don't even deserve the one star I had to give them in order to post my review.

My brother walked into this place needing therapy for his hands and strength training for his legs…read moreand left 3 days later via ambulance. He was found unconscious, unable to speak and gasping for air by a fellow resident. He is 48 years old and it's by the grace of God that he is still with us today. He was intubated for 6 days at a local hospital with aspiration pneumonia. They were told to crush his meds, they didn't. They were told he needed help eating, they didn't help him. Instead, they took away his breakfast on Thanksgiving Day! The entire staff is a joke; all they care about is their paycheck. If you value the life of your family member, do NOT send them there. Beware!! They only reason I am giving them a 1 star is because they won't post this review unless I give a star! Stupid! I give a -0 star.

Great place to get bedsores!…read more My father and mother were raked over the coals during COVID by this place - charging him 13,000 a month for care. Robbery. My father required a hoyer lift, and could not go to the bathroom on his own. Unfortunately they left him alone, so long for so often that he developed bedsores from being unable to move, unable to be changed on time. They almost dropped him in the hoyer lift more than once, when my mother, who was staying with him, warned them that if they didn't take more care - she would record them almost dropping him so it was on video. This was just before the right to have a camera in facilities - the manager said that if she tried to record them for them to put him down and deny care. I should have gotten a lawyer, instead I got him out of there. Damage was done, both to the pocket book and bedsores. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Update for Tyler's Response: Thank you for reaching out to me. Unfortunately, I hadn't thought about Yelp and google for leaving a review till now, as my facebook memories of conversations with my father and mother came up again and the strife we had at your establishment. The bedsores he had the rest of his life - because as the skin thins from them the skin is never the same - that he accrued under your care remained till the end of his days. The video that Mom sent me at the time, where the aids put him down when she pulled out her phone to record, ignoring his pleas for care, still is haunting. If you have your ship in order now, that's fine. Good for you, but however, I wouldn't trust your company, recommend your company for anything. When we moved out, we saved almost 6,000 a month from what you charged us a month during the pandemic, where you kept upping the care costs to over 13,000 a month. We moved to somewhere with better care, that was 7,600 a month for his care and for mom to stay with him. I never had my parents calling me, pleading with me before you, nor after you. We suspected this was all reprisal at the time because people thought they had called the Omsbudsman and complained. However, THEY had not, but they sure had thought about it - but were concerned things would get worse. In hindsight, I wish we could have called them immediately when they started to have problems. That is what I would recommend to anyone with issues with your facility, call the Ombudsmanif you have any problems. For anyone curious about them you are in: Ombudsman Region: Region 10B, which covers Portage, Stark, Summit, and Wayne counties. Phone: 800-421-7277 or 330-899-5250 It's fine to get your ship in order now - and I truly hope you have, but people have long memories. When you cheat people and hurt people - they remember. Dad has since passed, and Mom is not in an assisted living. I'm sorry you don't like the review, but it's here, and I stand behind it.
