I got a haircut last week, they have my credit card on file. I usually tell them to go ahead and use it each time. I got home and realized I was charged $10 more than prior haircut. I called and was told my stylist raised her prices AFTER my card was charged. I feel that was unprofessional and disappointed. I left a voicemail expressing my disappointment in their lack of transparency. Never received a call back addressing a customer's (me) frustration. $86 is crazy, I wish I could post a picture of how short my hair is. I feel bad, but won't be going back.

I am hesitant to get my hair cut at new places because I have such thin hair and some places try to give me tons of layers to add volume and other places avoid that to add thickness. Maria was super knowledgeable and talented. She cut exactly how I wanted it and my hair feels fuller with more volume, super healthy, and still maintains my length. I wanted to go from a medium/light brown to a super dark cooler brown. I was adamant that I did not want my hair to look red or purplish in the sun and Maria did exactly that. It doesn't look black and it doesn't look red, but still shines with a nice dark brown. I am extremely happy with the job I got at New Wave and if I get to come back to Danbury in the future I will definitely make Maria my go to hair stylist! Bonus was the check in option that gave me a discount for new clients! Well worth the trip and didn't spend a ton of $$$ for a solid dye job and cut. My hair looked so damaged. So since I have to leave Monday for 3 months I figured I'd come here to see if they had time to fix my hair before I left. they immediately accommodated me and told me I could come in today ( Sunday ). Not only is the owner, very kind. But Rachel, who attended me was not only funny and really sweet but she helped me pick the perfect burgundy color that would help cancel out the hideous orange color I had. I had been going to a different salon in town for a year. Although they were friendly and the…read moresalon was nicely decorated, they totally wrecked my hair. My hair was uneven, fried at the ends from over processing and the color was horrendous! After the last visit, I knew I needed to change salons. I searched online and found Color Creations by Toni. Thank god I did. I called a couple of days before Mother's Day and Toni squeezed me in. She looked at my hair and we came up with a plan to get my hair back on track again. Not only did she nail my hair color and highlights, but she gave me a great cut, a conditioning treatment and styled it perfectly. I was so happy I gave her a hug! I highly recommend giving them a try. Arrive a customer and leave a friend!
